She found the bouquet of English Roses on their bed, when she got home from work. Even without looking at the card she knew who they were from. Only Steve would know how much she loved English Roses, they had decorated the church in them for their wedding.
The soft, creamy pink petals tickled her nose as Peggy read the note that had come with them.
In Steve’s handwriting were the words:
To My Sweetheart,
I saw these and thought of you.
