Loki wasn’t amused when Thor gave him the device from Earth. Humans were pathetic creatures, so lazy that they refused to travel five minutes to talk to someone they claimed to love ; for an evolved being like himself, the device was pointless. To make matters worse, it was a creation of Starks and he’d coded millions of locks on the thing! He was only becoming used to his search history getting tracked by SHIELD when Clint added him to a group chat that he was blocked from leaving. In fact, he couldn’t leave any group chats or block any numbers at all and his stupid phone refused to mute and stop chiming away every second of his depressing life.
Clint’s group chat was worse than the main one for all the avengers. He’d created it for all the “bi avengers” and sent the most stupid puns and memes every day. Loki wasn’t even an avenger, and he was forced to be sent garbage along with Stark, Rogers and The Winter Soldier. The experience was embarrassing!
Then, the memes started to stop and Loki was overjoyed, until suddenly, these videos were entering the chat. This grown adult with three children had found a video app called TikTok and was trying to convince everyone to explore the “gay side of the app”. He even forced Stark to remotely download the app on all their phones, and Loki couldn’t work out a way to remove the blocks and delete the thing. However, he soon learnt that the app wasn’t as pointless and ridiculous as he’d originally thought.
The video began with a simple melody as an intro with three people messing around in a living room (Loki suspected they were trying to copy a “popular” media theme) and after a couple of seconds, text came up on the screen and a robotic-sounding voice read out ”The Bi Ace Life Part 3”. Then, the video cut to the dark skinned boy in the intro, holding the camera, and he began to speak.
”People at Visions are always asking me if I’m bisexual, so I tell them that I’m Biromantic, and then they’re like - well, what’s the difference? I say Bisexual is sexual attraction and Biromantic is romantic attraction and that’s when they ask if it means I won’t have a threesome with them. Yes and no, Kevin - I don’t have threesomes because I’m monogamous and I never want to have sex. Then, this homophobe, whoever the idiot is that day, has the audacity to ask if I’m just a straight dude, who hasn’t found the right girl yet. I’m Biromantic! When we’re adults and they’re alone, I’ll have a husband or a wife, but we will not have sex because I’m asexual. When they tell me I can’t clone myself to reproduce because I’m a human, it’s a whole new stage of idiotisy. That’s not what being fucking asexual is, Kevin! Why can’t we normalise people, who are Biromantic, Homoromantic, Panromantic, even Heteromantic? Saying you’re Biromantic or Bi-oriented shouldn’t be unusual.”
This was the first person in the strange app that had talked sense instead of breaking into dance or doing something Clint called a “thirst trap”. When Loki had told Thor he was attracted to male and female people, he had taken it as sexual attraction, and that was why he was stuck in a stupid group chat full of sexualised memes he never understood! Loki needed to investigate further.
He pressed the account username, “The_Ace_Of_Spades_Squad”, and was sent to their TikTok homepage. The bio read ”Over 17,000 followers on Instagram”, another app with a silly amount of notifications, and five emojis - “🕷🎧🪐🎨🎻🎬”. Loki tapped the most recent post, taking him to a video of the girl from the previous videos Intro. To his distress, the human was dancing, but as she moved to the song labelled as “Daisy”, interesting text came on the screen. This girl also spoke the truth, talking her experience as a Demisexual Demiromantic and explaining how she could still be Bi and have relationships.
The next video was the boy and a blonde girl messing around, but the one after that caught his attention as he realised it was a prior part of “The Ace Bi Life” series. This time, all three of the humans on the intro were in the video and they disgusted reactions to sexualised phrases that Bi people are often asked or told. At the end of the video, they pretend to beat up the person on the other side of the camera and it cut to a black screen with the text ”Stop sexualising Bi people.”. Now, that was something Loki agreed with.
It was only as he continued flick through the TikTok and Instagram accounts that Loki recognised one of the kids. Peter, one of the three original admins, was Stark’s spiderling. Four of them went to Peter’s school, Midtown, and the other two went to their rival’s, Brooklyn Visions ; it was only the boy from the original video that had a public personal account. His name was Miles Morales and along with the squads username, he claimed to be ”Spreading activism through art” in his bio. As well as some street art, sketchbook drawings and memes, he also posted pictures of him and the rest of the admins. Whatever he was doing was good enough for over 30,000 followers.
It made Loki wonder why Peter wasn’t a part of the group chat of hell. Surely Stark wouldn’t have left out his kid on purpose, so either he’d left the chat or he hadn’t come out. Loki was following the account that Miles always tagged Peter with in his posts, and there was nothing relating him or his friends to the group account. There weren’t any photos of Miles or Gwen, and it was as though he wasn’t supposed to know them at all - by leaving them out, he didn’t have to explain how he’d met them. Considering the fact that Peter never tried hiding his identify on Mile’s personal and group account, it was strange to think that he was frightful of being outed. For a moment, Loki concluded he was only out to the Avengers, but then he remembered that Peter had said in posts that he’d come out to his school, but not his father or the rest of his family. Peter’s parents were dead, Stark and his Aunt shared custody over him, so the father he’d mentioned could only be one person.
If Loki could talk to Peter as one Asexual Biromantic to another, he could convince the kid to take all of the locks off his phone. People did say he was a master negotiator. Finally, he could escape the torture Clint had brought down on him and it would be all thanks to Stark’s kid.

For a long time, Peter had felt broken. His family life was full of loss, mourning and distress, he was bullied constantly by his peers, and he saw boys the way girls saw them, and girls the way other boys saw them. As he grew up, Peter became more comfortable with kisses, hand holding and hugs from people other than his family, but when he started high school, he had a health class every week, and people started talking about sex.
Peter told Ned he was Bi in the winter ; they both came out as Asexual in the spring. Then, Liz and everything with her father happened, and through it all, the boys became friends with their classmate, Michelle. MJ was secretive and mysterious, but she was also surprisingly open about things. She wasn’t one to hide, who she was, and proudly wore her rings and pins. She’d always had a white ring on her left middle finger and a black ring on her right middle finger, whilst the rainbow flag, AroAce flag and Bi flag pins were a new addition to her jacket near the end of the year. Peter found having another Bi ace to talk to as a comfort and when they broke up for summer vacation, MJ got both her friends their own ace rings.
It was that summer between Freshman year and Sophomore year that MJ mentioned making a meme account in their group chat. Peter took her words seriously, joining his friend in convincing Ned to do it and soon enough, they were creating a new email address and making an Instagram account. They named it after the group chat, each chose an emoji and The_Ace_Of_Spades_Squad was born.
The account was never supposed to become a huge part of their lives. They all enjoyed being apart of the community, and posted weekly, but in three months, they had reached one thousand followers and by Christmas, they had over three thousand! Then, they became friends with a spray painter named Miles, another Asexual Biromantic, and they started collaborating with posts. He became good friends with Peter, so half way through their sophomore year, he asked Miles if he wanted to join their account. Miles agreed as long as his best friend could join, too ; as it was around the time Ned’s new girlfriend, Betty, came out as asexual, the three of them joined the account together.
The six friends first met each other when they went to New York Pride. None of them had gone before, except Miles, who had been every year since he was eight. Ned was out to his parents, but Peter lied to his Aunt May about where he was going. He wanted to believe she wouldn’t care about everything, but Peter preferred to stay in the closet than to lose another family member. However, despite Peter’s nerves, the weekend was one of the best times of his life.
They met as much as they could after that, always trying to find weekends all six of them could have movie marathons and eat pizza at five am. They got drunk and did stupid things too, like the time Miles spray painted ”Why have sex when you can watch Star Wars?” on all the big signs in Queens (they took pictures the next day, and Miles captioned the post with ”Ned made me do it.”). Surrounded by his people, Peter didn’t feel as broken anymore.
Loki found the account around the time that May had been promoted and put on longer night shifts. Even though Mister Stark still had a smaller compound, he lived in a separate house in Manhattan, where Peter had his own bedroom and lab. He used to only stay on weekends, but with May out of the house from 7pm to 5am, they both decided that it would be better for Peter to move in with his mentor permanently.
Days studying and working together in the labs and movie nights with pizza, popcorn and snuggle sessions in the viewing room became everyday life. Every time Miss Potts visited, Peter liked to help her cook in the kitchen and he felt like the three of them were a happy family. He’d always looked up to Mister Stark, but now he was more of a father figure than ever and Peter was openly lying to Miles and Gwen that he was living with his biological father. Betty knew that Mister Stark wasn’t his real Dad, but she also knew that he lived with the billionaire, and it was only Ned and MJ that knew he was Spider Man.
Sometimes, Peter worried that he would do something to upset Mister Stark and he would have a change of heart. He started to have nightmares about him kicking him out and would wake up crying, until FRIDAY was alerted and a worried Mister Stark would wrap his arms around him and whisper muffled Italian into his hair. Peter never planned on coming out to him, at least until he was over eighteen - it was hard enough to come out as Bi, let alone asexual to a playboy billionaire, who never stopped talking about sexual attraction. Peter had concluded it was safer to hide than mess up his life, again.
After learning Peter was the one to delete all saved files off his and SHIELD’s computers and locks from Loki’s phone, Mister Stark was more confused than anything else. Peter left out the important details, only claiming Loki and him had had a heart to heart and that he didn’t think it was fair that they were spying on all their conversations and putting limits on their device. It was enough for Mister Stark to lie to Fury for him, and life went on.
He continued to live with Mister Stark in Manhattan and was drove to midtown everyday by Happy. When he wasn’t on spider man duty or at academic decathlon, he was with the ace of spades squad, and at night, he came home to the family unit he hadn’t experienced in a long time. Loki became the guardian of all Bi Aces, or Bice, as Miles liked to call them, their TikTok account grew rapidly and live streams on their Instagram account became a regular every Friday. Peter hadn’t been as happy as he was for a long time, and yet something was missing. He was still hiding and it hurt.
