Tony sighed as he looked around the dark room. Lately it wasn't as much fun to steal from Stephen as it had before. But alas, only the night before the sorcerer had taken one of his first iron man suits from his lab so naturally Tony had to beat him.
The man crept through the hallways of the sanctum in search of his next magical possession.
A noise from behind him made him turn around. For a split second he thought Stephen had caught him but Tony knew the man wasn't Here. Only an hour ago they had personally insulted each other at a gala but Tony disappeared early to have a chance at stealing something from the sorcerer.
Tony sighed in relief and turned his body in the direction of Stephen's room again when a flash of red appeared in his vision. He startled and placed a hand over his chest as he tried to calm.
The familiar red fabric came nearer.
"Oh, it's only you." Tony then walked on as the red cloak followed him. Levi liked to do that but he never hindered him from stealing. Just like Tony knew JARVIS wasn't hindering Stephen when he stole from him.
"What should I take today?" Tony stopped asking himself a while ago why he was talking to a piece of fabric.
They arrived in Stephen's room and Tony sat himself on the bed as he looked around the room.
Levi got nearer to him with uncertain movements, swaying back and forth until he decided to curl around Tony's shoulders.
That was odd. The magical cloak never did that but Tony liked the feeling. It was like a heavy, protective blanket and the cloak slightly squeezed him.
"You want me to take you?" Another squeeze and Tony chuckled.
"I guess I have what I came for then. Stephen will certainly throw a fit." A hand came up to stroke the collar of the cloak. "It's settled then. We should get away before Stephen comes home." And with that Tony made his home with his new cloak.

As soon as Stephen entered the halls of the sanctum he felt something was wrong. Usually his cloak would fly up to him. Levi was strangely clingy for not being human.
Stephen was ready to go up the stairs to his room when his phone peeped. Tony. He had a special ringtone just for his enemy.
When he opened their chat he was met with a picture of Tony. With his cloak wrapped around him. Oh, Tony would pay for that. But first he had to get out of the suit and change for something more suitable when stealing from Tony.
Once he wore his more comfortable robes he opened a portal to the Stark tower and stepped through.
He blinked through the darkness and took the familiar route to Tony's bedroom. He wasn't sure yet what to take but once he saw it he would know.
He didn't bother being sneaky as he opened Tony's door. He heard from various sources the man was a light sleeper and would wake as soon as there was movement near him but somehow he never woke up when Stephen entered his room.
A glance to the bed confirmed Tony was fast asleep. His traitorous cloak tightly wrapped around the man. He huffed and resumed to look around the room. Levi would come back to him. Only matter of time.
He was just about to open the closet when he heard movement behind him. Usually he would shrug it off but the sound of rustling sheets didn't stop. Rather it got louder and did he hear a muffled whimper?
Alarmed he turned around and saw Tony turning restlessly in his bed.
He was no stranger to nightmares and knew Tony needed comfort no matter that they were sworn enemies.
So with determined steps he walked to the bed and took Tony into his arms. He leaned his own body against the headboard and let a smoothing hand stroke the other's back.
Tony subconsciously wound his own arms around the sorcerer and slowly his ragged breathing calmed again.
With them both so tightly cuddled together it was nearly impossible for Stephen to free himself. Every little movement earned him Tony clinging tighter to him and soon he found himself sliding down, properly lying on his back now with Tony's head on his chest.
It wasn't how he planned his evening to go but he couldn't deny he was quite comfortable. Suddenly he saw the years of teasing and besting the other in a new light. Maybe there were more feelings involved than he had previously thought.
He looked at the cloak that was now wound around them both and he couldn't stop getting the impression that it was slightly smug.
An idea occured to him then. He still had to steal something.

Tony couldn't remember when he had last slept so good. Alone the thought that he had actually made it to his bed and not falling asleep in his lab was quite a surprise.
He didn't want to wake up so soon so he decided he should snuggle closer into the warm body next to him and sleep for the next week.
Unfortunately he couldn't do that because there was a body in his bed!
His eyes flee open and he sat up with unhumanly speed.
There was Stephen! His longtime enemy was in his bed!
"Tony?" The other man said groggily and reached out for him, eyes still closed. "Come back to bed."
"What are you doing in my bed? I couldn't possibly have been that drunk last night."
"Not your bed, mine. Stole you. You're mine now." Stephen used his momentary confusion and took him back in his arms.
"What?" Tony looked around to see it was indeed Stephen's room and not his own.
Now that that mystery was solved he could move on to another. Namely being clutched to Stephen's chest.
"Why are we cuddling?" He wouldn't admit it but he didn't really want it to stop.
"Nightmare." That made sense but also not. Tony wasn't sure what to think.
"What are we doing now?" Tony asked, decidedly calmer now.
"Sleeping. Haven't slept this good in ages." The sorcerer answered and proceeded to bury his face in Tony's neck.
Okay, he could admit Stephen was right. He slept really good. Maybe cuddling your enemy wasn't making sense but he'll be damned if it didn't feel right.
