Chapter 1
1. Weasley family
Ron grew up with a big family of redheads. A strict mum, a supportive dad, cool brothers and the annoying twins. And perfect, little Ginny.
Before you misunderstand Ron adores Ginny. He would die for his little sister and he doesn't even know hat die means. Yet he can't help him feeling inferior to her.

It was an unspoken rule that to mum Ginny comes first. Bill noticed it first, right after she was born mum doted more on baby Ginny than infant Ron who was fussy most of the time.
He even heard mum say once, "Calm down Ronnie momma will feed you, but I have to dress Ginny up to her new pink shirt."
Bill noted it bitterly and did his job as a big brother and took care of his little brother. Hungry little bugger but he knew one day Ron will be a strong boy and he will be there for him when mum plays dress up with Ginny.

Ron was a strange boy, Percy noticed. He asked questions even he couldn't aswer.
"Percy you're the smart one. Can you help?" He asked from Percy one day as they worked on their assigned homework. Percy hated homeschooling, the twins always ruined a fun lesson. Mum gets mad all the time then he is left alone by his questions and he goes to Charlie with them. He can help Ron once right?
"Sure." He shrugged.
"Um.... Why's that Ginny is different from us?" He asked.
"She is a girl, we are boys." Percy explained. Ron's eyebrows furrowed.
"I'm close to her. Can I be a girl too?" Now Percy was the confused one. Boys were boys and girls were girls. He didn't know about a spell that could change that.
"I don't know Ron. I can look into this but don't mention it to mum." Percy knows how touchy was mum with the girl topic. He was little but he knew that the mediwizard promised a girl and Ron came out instead as a boy. Bill remembered well and asked Percy to keep an eye on mum around Ron when he goes back to school.

Ron wasn't blind he could notice the difference, that even Percy couldn't explain.
"Mum always wanted a girl. Ronnekins she cried when you graced our family." The twins mocked him.
"But...but I can be a girl. I could be a daughter!" Ron said his eyes full of tears. This discussion took place right after the teddy bear incident. The twins always liked to take the mickey on him, they mocked him with anything. Now they found a good insult. Mum never wanted Ron.
"You are a dirty boy like us." George finished and they left for lunch.

Ron started to pay attention to Ginny. Mum liked to take her shopping into the village. Ron decided to tag along that day. Mum asked him to keep quiet about any magical words and to not beg for sweets. He promised.
Ginny was happy that Ron went with them. She was just five and mum always forced her into frilly, cheap dresses and made her hair into cute pigtails.
(Ron felt sick in the stomach every time she complained about the dresses).
"All these meat and grains are too much." Mum complained to the kids as they shopped in the market. "I should start another garden." She mused.
"Oh Molly!" Someone already called out for mum. It was a beautiful woman with silver hair and piercing blue eyes.
"Pandora it's good to see you." Mum smiled as they shook hands. "Did you bring Luna too?"
"No she is with Xen they are in Ireland looking for selkies." The pretty woman then looked at the siblings. "It was years ago I saw you Ron." She smiled at the boy and Ron nodded awkwardly.
"Oh yes and look at Ginny dear. We should talk about a playdate between Luna and Ginny. She gets lonely with all of the boys. And I could invite the Fawcett sisters too maybe." Pandora looked at Ginny now.
"Luna would like that probably. She usually likes to hangout with us. She is a shy kid."
"Nonsense would you like that Ginny?" His sister nodded not so sure about it.
"Mum I would like it too!" Ron decided to talk up. He was tired of the twins and everyone else, maybe another girl friend wouldn't hurt?
"It would be a girls playdate Ronnie." Mum already tried to push him out of the discussion.
"Ronald would be welcome too. I can see Luna liking a spitfire." Pandora smiled as Ron's heart swelled. Why was that a stranger thought him more interesting than his own mum?
