Stars and Determination
Summary
She made Suisei's heart beat fast, but not even Suisei understood that feeling yet.

Stars can't shine without darkness.

She's seen it plenty of times already.

She hates looking at her email only to find yet another rejection. She hates how they reject her with disgustingly sweet words. It sucks.

"Tch."

She clicked her tongue in annoyance. No matter how hard she tried to reach for the stars, she kept falling even further.

And even so, she still continued. She had already faced countless rejections but she still continued.

She wanted to be an idol no matter what. She wanted her dreams to come true.

And even though it hurt, she kept going until she reached it.

And she did.

"Hoshimachi-san, are you sure you can keep going?" Her choreographer asked after seeing Suisei give out a bit.

"Yes, I can. I'm completely fine!" She does a little twirl to show that she can still move.

"See?"

Prior to that, Suisei practiced for hours yesterday so that she can flawlessly move for her performance. In exchange for that, she only slept for 2 hours.

"Alright.."

Having noticed Suisei's con, the choreographer just simply sighed.

"This will be the last. Make sure to rest properly after."

"I will."

And she lied.

ーーー

She was walking outside of the office when she heard someone call out to her

"Sui-chan!"

Suisei didn't even need to look back to know who was saying her name with such excitement.

A certain pink-haired rushed next to her with a bright smile as always. She wondered where this girl gets her energy.

"Sui-chan! How's your dance coming along?"

"Not as bad as you, actually." She teased.

"Oi! Hoshimachi!" Miko lightly punched her on the elbow.

She could only laugh at the girl who was pouting in front of her.

"Well anyway, I'm gonna go home now! See you!" Miko waved goodbye with a smile.

And Suisei did the same.

It was already 12AM by the time she got home, fatigue spreading all over her body as soon as she reached her door.

She wanted to sleep once she got in but she still had to take care of herself before that.

And so she did.

After eating, bathing, and changing into her pajamas, she went and dived into bed, hoping to get a good night's sleep until whenever time allowed her to.

But a certain pinkette came into her mind.

A shade of pink that she can't ever hope to comprehend no matter how many sciences she pursued. It hurt her heart that she couldn't understand such a simple thing. Why her heart always gets pricked whenever she thinks about that girl, why she feels sad that she can't be with her every day, why she feels like darkness looms into her very being everytime she sees the girl.

She simply clutched onto her pillow, hoping to ease the pain.

She did not get a good night's sleep.

ーーー

"Sui-chaaaan~!" Miko hugged her from behind, Suisei was already a second too late to react. She couldn't help but blush at the action but quickly covered it with a joke

"Missed me too much?" Suisei grinned.

"Wh-!?" Miko moved away from Suisei to look at her for a moment and counterattacked "Who'd miss an airhead like you??" Miko exclaimed but quickly laughed.

"Ehh? Mikochi of course~" Suisei just continued the joke with a slight giggle.

"You-" Miko was supposed to continue but she kept laughing

She also admired this Miko too.

ーーー

Suisei has long been trapped in Miko's allure. She doesn't know when it happened but the thought of the pinkette in her mind has become an everyday occurrence.

The girl was cute, it was evident. She had smooth hair that smelled nice and Suisei loved to put her chin on it. She loved playing with the girl no matter what game. She loved to tease her and laugh with her. She made Suisei's heart beat fast, but not even Suisei understood that feeling yet.

And after countless interactions with the certain pink-haired girl, she finally understood it.

The constant pricks in her heart wasn't to make her suffer, it was the overwhelming feeling she felt. The sadness she felt in not being with the girl was simply just longing. The darkness she felt looming in wasn't there to hurt her. It loved her. It did. And that is why it was there to make her shine brighter.

Hoshimachi Suisei and Sakura Miko were always together, simply just 'business' friends. But the comet was greedier than she expected.

The unstoppable comet wanted more, and the universe granted it.
