Eddie’s in the middle of the mall when Venom turns to static.
Everything had been fine. The two of you were walking along, hand in hand, just enjoying each other.
Then it happened.
The high pitched notes of Mariah Carey's voice had started to drift over the speakers, and Venom had been unable to take it, slithering away on the ground.
“Eddie, baby, are you okay?”
He nods. “M'fine. But V, he…he’s gone.”
“Gone?”
“It was just like the MRI machine–the way Anne used it to get rid of him.”
Your hand moves up and down his bicep, aiming to calm him.
“Well, we’ll find him. Don’t worry.”

It’s not until the two of you get outside and reach the car that you find him–the tell-tale black sludge standing out against the metal of the car door.
Eddie laughs, and reaches out his hand, lets Venom travel back.
