Mission Started
After the fight between Steve and Bucky on the helicarrier a few weeks has passed. And no one could bring the blond male out of the compound and stop on this research.
Of course… Steve had a feeling that something must had happen as he woke up next to the lake, without an idea how he got there. It was Sam who told him that it was Bucky who pulled him out of the lake and then disappeared.
And exactly after that moment… there wasn’t any lead of Bucky anymore.
For the first moment everyone thought that he went back to Hydra. And Steve never wanted to go to sleep anymore until he found one of them and their base. Because he doesn’t want that Bucky was going to be in their hands one day longer!
But his thoughts were destroyed in that moment as they found Hyda agents and with force they were telling him that Bucky wasn’t with them anymore because he has disappeared and even they can’t find him.
And exactly that was proof enough for Steve that this was Bucky… he was breaking through the brainwashing. And the blond male was right what he saw in the eyes from his friend on the helicarrier.
Of course Steve wanted to find him before Hydra could do that because he wanted to protect him… for once.
But he couldn’t do it alone. And the leads were giving him literally nothing or it was just a dead end. Steve knew he can’t disappear here because he was needed. But there was someone who he was trusting the most…
„Still nothing?“ Exactly that person was asking the blond leader and it brought him out of his mind. Steve shook with his head. „You know… maybe he doesn’t want to be found. I’m sure he has his reasons.“ Sam added while he was leaning against the doorframe.
Steve took a deep breath while he got up from his seat and he came closer to the other male. „I know. But maybe he is also in danger. Bucky is alone out there in a world he doesn’t know…“ Even he was still struggling with everything new. „And Hydra is waiting until Bucky is going to make a mistake… we need to save him…“ Steve said and took a deep breath. „Sam… I know this is a lot but you are the only one I trust with this.“ Steve said and was going to ask him if he could go undercover and find him.
„So… following a lead which is leading into dust or it’s just nothing?“ Sam asked while he followed the blond male in the main room and he raised an eyebrow. „It’s nothing but it will be fun.“ He added after he was thinking and was smiling as Steve was looking at him in surprise. „Hey… if Captain America needs my help I’ll be there.“ And it meant that he would do everything to find Bucky. Even if he still remembered what that guy did to him. But Steve wouldn’t trust him when he wouldn’t know him for so long.
„I better start packing.“ Sam added before he was patting the shoulder from Steve and then he made his way out of the compound. Something in him knew that this was going to be a long and tiring mission… but maybe he can see the things better and different when he was in his element where he belonged… the sky.
