Goodbye brotherhood - Hello parenthood

The Brotherhood was formed, we were already in action for our cause for over 1 year. Everything was running smoothly. We get assets, headquarters and members.

In an old house where she had already lived with all her family but after the genocide all that was left was the house itself, Natalya and her young brother, Django, both her parents and other brothers were lost to the fields.

She had been my home for two years after all with Shaw and now I was back.

I was starting to get worried but luckily Nat opened it, she looked tired, exhausted actually, a little disheveled and slightly plumper than the last time we saw each other but she looked fine.

"-Erik..."-she smiled and hugged me, something I don't do daily. "-...Glad you came."

"-Sorry, I only received your letter last week."

"-Okay, better late than never. Come in." -I followed her inside and closed the door.

And something caught my attention, the house was a little messy which is weird because Natalya can be slightly a perfectionist.

"-So what happens?"

"-Maybe it's better if I show you...follow me."

Natalya entered a corridor and I followed her, she waved to the second door for me to go ahead and I stepped forward by my curiosity.

"-Erik Lehnsherr meet your sons Pietro and Wanda."

"-W..what?"

I looked at the bed. Two babies squirming and smiling, I don't know why but I smiled instinctively too.

"-Are you... sure?"

"-Of course. You know me, I would never have hooked up with you if I were in another relationship."

I looked at them again, the twins stretched their fingers towards me, I gave them my hand and they had fun with it.

" - When were they born?"

"- It's been a month today. Sorry I didn't wait to name them, but it was weird to keep calling them baby 1 and baby 2."-I felt her approach. "-Pietro was born first, and twelve minutes later I had Wanda in my arms."

"-I'm sorry I wasn't here when you needed me."

It's been three months.

I don't know how but I got involved in parenthood

Right now I'm in a car with the twins in their baskets Nat had gone to do her brother and his wife a favor and needed someone to take the twins to the pediatrician for a routine appointment. According to him everything is fine. Happily.

But after the appointment, I called Natalya, she said the lock on the door was broken and some things overturned, and as soon as she said that I heard her scream.

When I was already seeing the house the engine stopped, which was strange because the car was in great condition, the diesel was at maximum and we were on a straight road .

I looked at the children, Pietro was sleeping soundly, Wanda was already very serious.

It was then that the house exploded. And the engine came back on.

I looked at Wanda one last time and then moved forward. When I arrived I opened the door and ran to the field where I saw a man running into the forest, but with just a movement of my hand I grabbed the metal he had on his belt and brought it to me but he was already spitting white foam.

"-Damn rat poison."

I searched and found the CIA symbol.

They must have followed me here.

When the fire died down I searched the wreckage and found Natalya's charred corpse with metal residue probably stabbed by the bastard.

I didn't mind crying, Natalya was the only good thing I had from my past.

She's gone and it's my fault that man was sent after me but he's not the boss at the top of the pyramid.

I wanted to kill him and all of his associates but doing so would only give them a reason to come after the mutants.

I also keep in mind that Nat would hate a bloody revenge.

She just wanted me to take care of our kids.
