Summary
A collection of tiny, mostly-dialogue scenes between (usually) Sherlock and John. Each chapter is a standalone.I've really just written these for myself and wanted to post them so I don't lose them. They're not Brit-picked. I'll add any new ones as new chapters, so this might never be marked as complete.I like these two as queerplatonic or in an otherwise asexual relationship. These can be gen or slash, depends on your choice of goggles. Also, apparently I'm obsessed with platonic bedsharing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

"John!"
"Sherlock?"
"John! No..."
"Sher- Sher it's alright, I'm here."
"Please, John..."
"I'm here, Sher, it's ok. You're safe."
"Not real...You're not real..."
"Now why wouldn't I be real, Sherlock?"
"Left you...I left you. You're so far away, too far, not here. Only in my mind palace."
"Hush now, Sher, you're home. You're here with me in our flat. 221B Baker Street, remember? You came home to me."
"No, no...Only a coping mechanism. They're hurting me..."
"Oh, Sherlock..."
"It's ok, though. You're safe. Aren't you? Aren't you safe, John? Did I leave for nothing? Too long since I had news..."
"Here, come here, love. Listen. Do you hear it? My heart. Safe. Feel - My pulse, there, can you feel it?"
"My John...I miss you...I want to go home..."
"You're here, Sherlock, I promise you, you're home and safe. Oh, my Sherlock, you're safe. They'll never hurt you again. No one will. I promise you, I swear to you."
"..."
"Shh, shh...Hmm. I'll be right back, alright?"
"Don't go, John. Don't leave me here alone with them."
"No, never. Come here. Come with me. It's ok, just to the other room, alright?"
"I can't go, John. They've chained me."
"No, no chains, Sherlock, there's no chains. Come on. Hush now, come on."
"Where are we going?"
"Just here, sit right there. I'm here, see? Just here. Our kitchen. That's where we are, isn't it."
"Kitchen..."
"Yes, exactly. See, and our kettle. Which - ah, good, no experiments."
"Mh. Not home without experiments."
"Ha, no. No, it wasn't really."
"John?"
"No nevermind that, Sher. Let's have some tea. And maybe some toast, mm? With honey on."
"I miss your tea."
"I'll make it just now for you, just a moment more."
"And the honey you get. I can't find it here. On the continent. It's local, isn't it. I'll have to find where it's from. Bring you some when I come home...Oh, John. You'll hate me..."
"I don't hate you, Sher. I didn't hate you when you got back. I was upset, yes. Heartbroken that you would put me through that but now I know, Sherlock. You saved my life. You saved me and Greg and Mrs. Hudson."
"Greg?"
"Ha, Lestrade."
"Is that his name?"
"Yes, love."
"How do you know?"
"Hmm?"
"You're just in my head."
"Here, love. Drink this. There you go."
"Tea?"
"Yes, just how you like."
"I miss your tea."
"Have a sip."
"...Mm... It's warm."
"Yes, fresh from the kettle."
"Never warm..."
"Mm?"
"In my mind palace. It's never warm. It's gone cold. I'm always too distracted."
"You're never warm?"
"The tea."
"Ah..."
"I most often drink your tea when it's gone cold. I come back from my palace and it's just there and it's been there hours because you left for the clinic in the morning and now it's afternoon. This tea is warm."
"Well...We could wait a bit for it to go cold."
"Tastes better warm. Tastes like you're here, not gone to work hours ago."
"Ah. Well. I am here, Sher."
"You are here."
"Mm. Mm! That's right. Here with you, at home."
"Home."
"London."
"221B. Baker Street."
"That's right. There you go. Here you are."
"I'm home. I'm back. Ah -...John?"
"It's ok."
"Extended flashback..."
"You're alright."
"Yes...Of course I am. You're here."
"Mm. Always will be."
"Yes. I'll never leave you so far away again..."
"Mm, and if you ever tried I wouldn't let you. You jump off another building and I'll be glued to your side until they bury us both together or you drag me off on the next adventure."
"Don't."
"...Sherlock I would follow you."
"Don't, John."
"Right, I'll stop. But. You write that on the walls in your mind palace, alright? Promise."
"It's there."
"Good."
"...Toast?"
"Ah - Right."
"With the honey..."
"The one you brought, yes."
