Summary
Loki is 15 years old, well, 15 midgardian years old, when he falls. He gets plunged into the void, darkness. The place that none have managed to escape, and all who enter, are never seen again. The truth was, he was so...distraught, and so, simply done with life and all it had to offer, tired of the constant torment from his brother, and his brother's friends, as well as the other Asgardians, he just had to leave, so he did. However, things take a rather drastic turn when, instead of dying as he had thought, he ends up in a new world, a world between worlds, a world none knows about, and then also caught up in their version of war, and another dark artifact, with a dark sorcerer. Can he help, but more than that, is he willing to?

Chapter 8

Loki laid his head back, breathing softly, exhaling shakily. He had told the story to the hobbits to entertain them. As said before, he was not good at happy stories designed for enjoyment, but tales of merciless horror. "Hey," Loki opened his eyes to see the blue ones of the Elf among their endevour.

"What makes you desire to seek my conpany?" Loki asked gently.

"I wish to hear the...real, version of the story, not the censored one which you gave to the hobbits." Loki scoffed, smirking, amused. So the Elf had caught on.

"Are you certain you are ready for it?" He asked carefully. Legolas nodded, determined. "Very well, your highness." Loki said, slightly mocking.

In a time long from here, in a land far from this, there was a Kingdom. The King, waged a war on this kingdom. He saw them as monsters. Refusing to speak with them, to be capable of truly understanding the situation, he waged a blood bath. Among this river of blood, he took two things. The power, leaving these people practically defenceless, and their crown prince-aught but a baby infant at the time. When he returned, he brought the baby as a time piece. To be used when he needed. It was, after all, the perfect opportunity. Raise the baby under him, forge a bond between him and his son, and he would manage to rule two kingdoms at once. The most powerful two.

He never saw it going wrong.

In the beginning, the two brothers did have a bond as unbreakable as the heart of a star. It shone bright and clear, unseverable. Though the King never truly treated the younger as his son, punishing him for minor mistakes, ignoring his achievements, and constantly spoiling his true son, the bond between brothers was strong enough to overtake the resentment towards the King.
Unfortunately, the King failed to see his downfall.

The brothers began to drift apart. Once the youth discovered his affinity towards magic, to such a degree never seen in his people, he began to have doubts of his true nature. It was not common for his kind to possess any form of magic, let alone wield it so effortlessly. It confused him. He dared not speak to his brother of his suspicions, as the older was forever blind to his father's faults.
It was around this time the the elder found a group of friends. They were warriors, good ones, one of the best. But, their intense dislike of the younger prince began to spread onto the brother. He began to ignore his brother's advice, refuse his attempts at spending time with him, ridiculed him constantly, even began to physically harm him willfully.

The bond between them was broken, incapable of being repaired. The king did not know this, could not see it. Blind as ever. Once the king named the elder for the Throne, all of the people were panicked. Though the castle residents may not see it, they knew that he was not ready for the throne, it would only bring their ruin.

The youth tried to explain thsi, but as usual he was dismissed. So he turned to drastic actions. Allowing a select two of their enemies into the palace, knowing they would not get far due to the security system. However, it showed the true blood thirsty hunger the elder prince had, and the King refused to place him on the throne because of this.

In an attempt to find answers, the elder brother comitted treason, dragging his friends and younger brother to the enemy kingdom to confront the king.

But, it ended in battle. Amongst this, the younger brother came to realize, he was not of his brothers kin, he belonged to these people.

Loki fell quiet, Legolas watched him carefully. This was...worse than he had thought.
