In the great hall of the palace of Asgard was held a great party for the birthday of the prince. The room was filled with guests wearing extravagant clothes. The golden hall was swarming with servants in suits serving champagne and trying to make their way through the dancing couples. On the throne the prince was bored, all these festivities were exhausting and boring for him. He looked into the void trying to put on a small smile so as not to appear abject to his people. He pretended to leave for a few minutes to get some fresh air. He walked to one of the balconies of the Palace and breathed in the evening. He looked up at the moon and turned his head to see a woman dressed in a fir green dress, her bleached hair a perfect contrast to her white skin. She was leaning over the balcony and looking out over the city. Intrigued, the prince walked towards the unknown woman.
-What is such a beautiful lady doing alone in the middle of a party? said the prince questioningly.
-Ladies can also be tired of a party replied the woman, turning to the prince.
He noticed when she turned to him, her beautiful blue eyes reflected in the moonlight. He had this strange impression of knowing her.
-You are right, I am tired as well.
-You are the prince this is for you says the unknown one by raising an eyebrow.
-I know, but I did not choose it.
-What a sadness a big party just for you, you must be unhappy, she said ironically.
-Very, but there is something good about this party.
-What is it?
-I met you, he said, smiling. So.. would you agree to dance with me Lady...?
-Sylvie.
-I thought dancing was boring? said the woman smiling back.
-Yes, but it's not if it's with you darling.
Sylvie took the prince's hand and they began to dance with the music of the hall in the distance. Through the glow of the night, their blue eyes intertwined and became one. They danced on and on until late at night. When the end came, they let go and stood next to each other watching the moon without saying a word.
-Have we met somewhere before? I feel like I know you asked the prince.
-No, I don't think so. I would have remembered.
-I think so too. So maybe in another universe? A parallel universe.
-That's probably it, she said, laughing.
And do you think we are happy in this universe?
-I hope so, said the prince, whispering. But I think we will find that answer. Together?
-Maybe, said the blonde woman looking at the moon.
Maybe.
