The Avengers

"So, if Terminator's an Omega... that changes things," Tony said looking ridiculous in goggles and an apron as he poured baking soda into a cake mix.

"It changes everything," Sam corrected.

"It does. Think about it. Clint and I are Betas. If we were hiding, our number one priority would be to disappear. Fury's an Alpha. He's had to fake his death and go under, but he's doing everything in his power to destroy Hydra. But Omegas can't cut ties like that. They need their pack. I'm honestly surprised he's lasted this long without finding Steve," Nat said.

"It is puzzling." Thor sighed.

"Steve's holding something back," Bruce said.

"I don't get why he doesn't trust us. We're his pack." Tony harrumphed.

"Steve's been through a lot, and he's still getting used to how things are now," Sam explained.

"He is opening up. He told us that Barnes is an Omega that's huge!" Clint butted in.

"We're still not any closer to finding him though." Tony sighed dumping a bottle of sprinkles into his concoction.

"So, if he's an Omega. Why is he hiding so hard? I get that he doesn't want to go back to Hydra, but his very DNA should be forcing him to find Steve. So, what's powerful enough to trump that?" Bruce asked.

"There's only one thing—a pup!" Clint exclaimed.

"Woah, woah! What?" Tony cocked his head. "How? He's been with Hydra for seventy years!"

"You don't think this is what Steve's keeping from us?" Nat asked.

"No, I don't think Steve knows," Sam said.

"Pops always said Barnes and Noble were closer than brothers like inseparable. They shared a tent and everything..." Tony mused.

"You don't think?" Clint asked.

"What?" Thor asked.

"What if Cap's secret is that they were mates," Nat whispered.

"Oh!" Thor grinned. "That's wonderful!"

"But that doesn't make sense. Why hasn't Barnes sought him out? Memories or no memories—mates trump everything. He shouldn't be able to resist it." Clint groaned.

"I don't know," Sam said. "But if we're right, this really does change everything."
