Prologue
Their beginning started in the 1920s.
Two young boys running around the streets of Brooklyn with no care in the world.
Then came the depression.
Things got hard.
But they had each other.
Then came the war. The war forced them to admit things that they had kept secret.
Then Bucky was drafted.
Steve tried.
But the letters stopped coming.
Then Steve became Captain America. He finally had everything he'd ever wanted.
But where was Bucky?
Their reunion was marred by torture.
Bucky wasn't the same.
Steve wasn't the same.
But one thing hadn't changed.
Steve loved Bucky.
And Bucky loved Steve.
Then Bucky fell taking with him a secret that he hadn't told Steve yet.
A secret that he'd do anything to keep safe.
Then Steve couldn't do it anymore. He crashed the plane and hoped to die with his mate.
But their story wasn't over yet.
