Ningguang has been looking for years on end.
Ningguang slowly walked through the busy streets of Liyue Harbor keeping an eye out for a familiar silhouette. People were chattering here and there, she had noticed many locals as she walked, laughing and talking, though none of them were Beidou.
Ningguang eventually reached the end of the harbor, until she sees a streak of brown hair flow from her peripheral vision. She quickly turns and sees the same brown hair Beidou had. She follows the woman and finds herself in the outskirts of Liyue Harbor.
Though the woman wasn't there anymore.
"Beidou?" Ningguang called out.
No response.
"Beidou I know you're there." There wasn't any person in sight, but she knew, the woman has to be there.
Ningguang could hear a light chuckle coming from behind of one of the trees. The same hearty laughter Ningguang would hear from Beidou.
"Alright. You got me." The woman revealed herself and looks at Ningguang.
"After all these years."
Ningguang stared at Beidou, unable to believe what she's seeing.
Without a thought, she runs up and hugs the woman.
But in the soft texture of the dewy grass, there was only a single shadow standing there.
