“Baby, wait.” You laugh as Eddie wraps his arms around your waist, kisses your neck. “I wanna get a picture.”
Eddie sighs, completely over dramatic.
He'd give you anything.
“Alright,” he grumbles. “Gimme the camera.”
It's one of those polaroid ones. You had insisted it was a necessity and Eddie hadn’t been able to argue.
Hadn’t really wanted to, if he’s honest.
He positions the thing in front of the both of you, aiming to get the Golden Gate in the background. He holds you impossibly close, goofy grin on his face. “Smile,” he mumbles against your cheek, unable to resist kissing the skin there.
He presses the button, expects to be presented with a picture, but instead the whole world changes.
The two of you are no longer in front of the bridge, Eddie’s not sure where you are actually.
“V?”
I’M STILL HERE.
“Any ideas what just happened?”
IT SEEMS YOU’VE BEEN TRAPPED. INSIDE THE CAMERA.
“Eddie?”
He can hear the panic in your voice and all he wants it to reassure you.
If only he could.
