eddie doesn't like houses that seem very likely to be haunted

“Nope.” Eddie shakes his head, crosses his arms. “No way.”
“C'mon,” you whine.
His eyes scan the outside of the house, take in the dark paint and broken out windows.
“I’m not going in there.”
Your fingers dance along his forearms, a look in your eyes that almost makes Eddie change his mind right then.
“Not even for me?”
Eddie thinks of the alien that inhabits his body–the alien you don’t know about.
IF YOU ARE AFRAID EDDIE, YOU DON’T NEED TO BE.
He sighs, teeth dragging over his bottom lip. “Fine.”
Your grin is quick, takes over your face. You lean in, kiss him. “Thank you, baby.”
Both of you miss the flash of gray in the second story window.
