(Strachey Mysteries) Challenge Accepted
Donald Strachey would be the first to admit that he was bad at communication, something that Timmy would whole heartedly agree. He'd spent a lot of years protecting himself by not letting people see who he was and that kind of training was hard to break, even if he wanted to. And he did, at least with Timmy.
One night after an epic meltdown because Donald had kept all his fears and insecurities locked up until he imploded, they sat down with their favorite take out and two ice cold martinis. While they were both calm and thinking clearly they came up with a way for Donald to let Timmy know how he was feeling without having to force the words out.
It's not a perfect system and learning to understand how he is feeling and why, as well as letting himself show it has been a challenge, but for Timmy, Donald is willing to push himself to keep getting better.
