Summary
Welcome back to the shitshow, everyone.Peter Parker and his friend Maggie accidentally travel back in time during a failed mission, and “coincidentally” run into Howard Stark and Peggy Carter while they’re at it. They’re stuck in the past, and they need the help of their new-found allies to get back home to the present and help their friends Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes defeat the last remnants of the shadowy, evil organization known as HYDRA. Meanwhile, Sam and Bucky, upon realizing their friends have seemingly disappeared, enlist the help of Dr. Stephen Strange in order to find them. Sounds like a great plan, doesn’t it? Yeah, well. Nothing ever goes according to plan when you’re an Avenger.I do recommend reading the first book before you read this one, but this can be read as a stand-alone if you’d like!
Note
Book two, here we go! I’ll do my best to post often. So psyched for you guys to read this. You’re gonna love it. But first let’s do a quick recap.Previously on……Everything Goes According To Plan!

If you’ve already read the first book, you don’t need to read this part. This is just a quick recap for those who may want it.

Sam and Bucky have to track down the Power Broker, so they call in some backup from Bucky’s old friend Maggie. Maggie accidentally gets into a fight with Spider-Man, a.k.a. Peter Parker, and ends up recruiting him into their little squad. The Power Broker frames Sam and Bucky for murder, and the whole group ends up being on the run for several months, during which Bucky discovers that he is lactose intolerant. Peter decides to do something dumb and turn himself in to the government to save the rest of his friends, who then come and rescue him, and also clear their names in the process. Thus ensues the most badass love confession ever, taking place in the heat of the battle, when Bucky tells Sam that he’s in love with him. Everything is resolved nicely in the end, and wraps up satisfyingly over bagels and brunch at the Parkers’ apartment in Queens. But then, Sam gets a mysterious call from none other than Nick Fury, telling him to gather his team to investigate the mysterious actions the ever-growing branches of HYDRA…

Honestly, it’s hard to condense everything into one paragraph. I do recommend going back and rereading the first book - it’s just as cool as this one, don’t worry.
