Chapter 6
Natasha was outside the room with the doctor. He was talking about some complications they ran in to with a lot of the tests.
The serum that Bucky has isn't the same as the one steve has. So some if the tests aren't fully accurate.
"His arm the metal one... its causing a lot if problems with some tests. The metal its made out of is messing with the scanners."
"So is there anything we can do about that?"
"We could always remove the arm. We would put it back in after the tests. But the only problem with that is we don't know how to remove it."
"Hmm? I can ask him if he knows how. He probably won't but its worth a try."
" if he doesn't I will get Tony to look at the arm and see if he can figure it out."
Natasha nods. And the doctor starts to walk in to the room.
James was leaning on Steve's chest arms wrapped tightly around Steve's body. As if he was tarified of everything around him and that was the only thing keeping him safe.
As Natasha a the doctor walked closer bucky did sit up and pulled away from steve. He looked scared but he didn't try and get away.
The doctor stood a fair distance away not sure if James will freak out if he came any closer. "Natalia?"
"Yea. How ya feelin?"
"Not sure" it was fair this was really the only time in 70 some years he was ever really allowed to feel anything.
"Thats ok." She sat down on the edge of the bed.
"Can I ask you a question?" She gently ran a hand through his hair.
"Yea" he leans in to the gentle touch.
"Do you know how to get you arm off?"
The arm in question was turned so at the angle she was at she couldn't see it. James shakes his head. And Natasha nods.
"Thats ok." She smiles at him.
He smiles slightly at her. Natasha turns to steve "can we talk to you outside?" Steve nods "yea. Of course. Are you going to be ok alone, Buck?"
"Yea, ill be fine steve" he looks at steve with his storm grey eyes that used to be the most beautiful blue.
Steve stood up and so did Natasha. The three the walk out of the room.
"The metal of his arm is messing with a lot if the tests we are running. It messes with the scanners. We are going to have to remove it but we don't know how to. So I am going to call Mr.Stark and have him take a look at it. Dr.Banner will probably also be assisting with it." The doctor explained.
"That and Hydra could be tracking him through the arm." Natasha adds.
"He doesn't seem to like the arm anyway. It will probably do him some good to get it off."
"What do you mean Cap?" (Doctor)
"He tried to rip the arm off earlier when I went back in to the room. I had to pull his hand away." (Steve)
"Were did he try and rip the arm off at,Steve?" (Natasha)
"His shoulder were in connects to his body." (Steve)
The doctor walks back in to the room Natasha and steve following.
When they got in to the room James ways laying there asleep. He seemed so calm and peacefully when he slept. It was a nice change from how scared he looked when he was awake.
The doctor walked over to him so he could see the arm. He looked over the scared skin around the metal. Onle small slightly raised red marks are left from himbtrying to rip it off.
There are a lot of scars around it indicating that wasn't the first time he tried to rip it off.
"Well I will call Stark" the doctor says befor he leaves the room again.
