Chapter 4
The road to Tennessee was surprisingly, pleasant one. Vision and Friday both like the same music as Tony does, so they had no problem in that department.
Nobody seemed to recognize Vision in his human form or Tony in his “de-aged” body.
Only one hour on their road trip, Tony found 492 text messages on his phone and 76 out of those texts were only from Pepper, but he couldn’t care less.
He smashes his sim card, not before he sent his new phone number to Rhodey, Happy, Helen, Peter and Keeners.
Speaking of Kenners. When Vision and Tony arrived at Kenner’s house, hours later. He was immediately tackles into a tight hug by both Harley and his little sister, Katherine.
Tony stayed in contact with Harley, after the whole Killian accident. He also build a surprisingly strong bond with the littlest Kenner girl.
Their Mother, Madison, was understandably hesitant in allowing The Tony Stark in presence of her little children. But, she eventually warmed up to his presence and they actually became a really good friends after Madison realized, that Tony isn’t like the media paint him out to be.
He stoped for short visits at least once in month. He helped them financially and even helped Harley with his bullying problems.
Harley had no problems in school after Tony Stark stoped by and had a talk with the headmaster and teachers. Katie’s friends were blown away when Iron Man dropped by to pick her up from her Dance class once.
Madison and Katie were both confused when Harley told them, that Tony just initiated protocol “New Beginning.”
Madison found it odd, that Tony had a protocol for basically bailing in his current life, but she doesn’t blame him. She doesn’t even want to imagine, living in that kind of spotlight as he does.
Katie on the other hand, was beaming with happinesses. She missed their Mechanic friend.
Tony was helping Harley with his school project, Madison was in kitchen and Vision was watching cartoons with Katie when Zemo’s face showed up on TV.
He gave a little speech about Empires crumbling from within and then footage from Siberia went online.
Vision and Madison were staring at TV in horror with wide eyes. Tony told Vision, Happy and Rhodey about what happened, but seeing it… Harley looked angry and Katie started to tear up.
And Tony.. he immediately paled, he couldn’t breath…
It was only when Katie climbed into his lab, that he focused on reality. Katie unlike Harley, never knew her real Father, Tony is the only father figure that she has in her life, so she became overly attached to him.
Tony didn’t mind, he liked little Kitty Kat.
After they calmed down, they decided to call it for that day and went to sleep. Harley decided to stick with Tony for the night, but it didn’t really matter, Tony didn’t sleep for the whole night.
It was only after he was sure that everybody was soundly a sleep, that he allowed himself to cry.
The next day, all TV channels were filled with talks about The Avengers and it was pissing Tony off. He was surprised when he saw the flowers and candles before Stark Tower, but it didn’t warm his heart as much as it possibly should.
Harley noticed Tony’s visible displeased reaction and suggested, that they just watch some movies together.
They ended up watching The Lion King and Vision was surprisingly, blown away with the movie. It quickly became his favorite one.
Tony suspects it’s because Vision is practically younger then Kitty Kat is… but be doesn’t blame him for picking up Lion King…
Tony will never admit it, but… it’s his favorite to.
They stayed in Tennessee for another two weeks before they finally went to their new home. Of course, not before promising to stop by soon.
After few days on the road they arrived in their new house.
It had everything you would need or want, pool, gym, sauna, library, lab, workshop for Tony, armory, many bedrooms and bathrooms, large kitchen and many more…
Vision and Tony didn’t stay together like a glue. They talked and bonded, even had movie nights. But did their own things at free time.
Vision joined a reading club and decided to start going to college while Tony decided to do what he missed the most since he became Iron Man.
He started to live, he went to parties and had fun. He also focused on upgrading his armor and creating a new tech.
They didn’t just stay in San Francisco, they had road trips all around US, they visited many interesting places and tried some new things, like Airsoft, Vision won.
After two month in their new home, both Vision and Tony were happier then before.
Then Friday started asking… interesting questions and after some revelations, they decided to make a visit to some old friends.
