Loki felt Tyberius's hand resting on her lower back as they made their way to the coffee shop.Â
The street windows of the shops were covered with Halloween decorations. Some had window art of pumpkins, Casper the friendly ghost, black cats, witches, Sally and Jack from 'the Nightmare before Christmas'.Â
There were orange, red, purple, and green lights wrapped around the poles of street lights. A light breeze blowing through the air, enticing the scents of food from the street vendors on the sidewalk.Â
It was close to five in the evening, already starting to look dark. Even though daylight savings wasn't till the end of the month. It surprisingly wasn't crowded tonight, very few people were out in this area of the city. It was mostly young adults or small families out. Which wasn't so surprising, since it was already starting to get chilly.Â
Â
Loki was glad she dressed warmer tonight. Wearing an emerald green turtleneck, a black leather jacket, dark jeans, a mahogany brown leather belt, a snake engraved on the buckle. Black laced boots that went up to her knees. Her longish jet black just about fell over her shoulders, was braided into an elegant braid, thrown over her shoulder.Â
She had gold snakes wrapped around a dagger earrings. Dark eyeliner, with sharp edges on her eyes. Jet black eyelashes that fanned over her soft porcelain cheeks. Her emerald green eyes looked brighter and bold. Black-green lipstick on her bow-shaped lips.Â
Too bad it was cold tonight, she would've showed off the snake tattoo she had trailing down the spine of her back.Â
Â
She got quite a bit of looks thrown her way from others. All admiring her, both men and women dragging their eyes over her.Â
Â
Tyberius presses his body closer to her side when he notices their looks.Â
Â
Tyberius Stone was a man Loki started seeing for eight months. Someone who her father introduced to her. She wasn't so fond of the man at first. He was bit... pigheaded.Â
Â
Arrogant.Â
Â
Well, she could be arrogant at times too.Â
Â
But at least she had that arrogance backed up, being an actual scholar and genius.Â
While Tyberius seemed to be pretending, he was something that he was not sometimes.Â
He also had a slimy attitude when she first met him.Â
One time he tried to play coy with her at a dinner her parents were hosting, asking her.Â
Â
"So, what does that silver tongue of yours really do?"Â
Â
She stabbed his hand with a fork.Â
Â
But the man still stuck around. Asking for her, actually wanting to get to know her.Â
Â
She had to give him applause for that.Â
Â
She started to see he was charming, sweet, and maybe a bit dumb.Â
Â
But he made it look endearing.Â
Â
She was able to get him on his knees at the snap of her fingers, bend over for her and take it.Â
When they arrived at the Cafe, they were barely sitting down at a table in the back, settling in. That gave them their privacy and had a nice view of the streets of the city.Â
Â
"Ty?"Â
Â
Loki notices Tyberius seems to go pale in the face, that grin on his lips frozen.Â
Â
Loki looked up; she felt her breath hitch when she saw the woman.Â
Â
Said woman had a mean smile itching at her heart shaped lips.Â
Â
"Quindi è vero.." the woman said, her almond brown eyes hardening.Â
Â
Italian.Â
Â
"Fottuto stronzo!" She grits out with venom in her tone.Â
Â
Loki actually winces at the curse.Â
Â
She also felt her heart thrumming faster.Â
Â
Tyberius stood up, raising his hands up in defense. "Toni-"Â
Whatever Toni had in her hand, she smashed it on top of Tyberius's head. Causing him to shout and creating a sticky mess.Â
Â
It was a caramel apple.Â
Â
And rammed it on top of his hair, all the caramel sticking to it.Â
Toni slipped a ring off her finger and slipped onto the stick of the caramel apple, having to stand up on her tiptoes a bit to reach.Â
Â
"Vaffanculo!" She gives him the middle finger.Â
Â
She was utterly breathtaking.Â
Â
Wait, was that an engagement ring?
Â
"You have a fiancee?" Loki inquires, ice at the edge of her voice.Â
Â
"I'm surprised he hasn't asked you to marry him. Since he only goes after wealthy girls, to con them." Toni grinds out, folding her arms over her chest.Â
"Toni- is that really you? I've never seen you-" Tyberius was still shell shocked, caramel drizzling down the sides of his face.Â
Â
Toni wore a Prussian blue velvet vest.Â
Â
That color complimented her warm honey-gold tan skin. That had a couple freckles from staying in the sun for too long. Very few beauty marks here and there, around her neck.Â
Her long, curly-wavy brunette hair reached down to her waist.Â
High waisted black jeans that had some tears in the front. That really brought out the curves of her hips and thighs. (Loki was trying hard not to look at her rear.) Dark brown, bowfin women's combat boots.Â
She had some cartilage piercings on her left ear, with three more piercings on the lobe of ear. All small gold hoops.Â
She didn't wear a lot of makeup, maybe some kohl eyeliner to really bring out those expressive almond brown eyes. Her thick eyelashes seem to fan over her cheeks. And her heart shaped lips probably had some chap stick. Since they looked so soft and had a slight shine to them.Â
She wore a necklace that fell down to her chest, right at her sternum, it was a gold sunflower pendant, with azure blue gem in the center.Â
Â
Loki had to shake her head a few times, to stop from staring at her.Â
Â
Damn it. She was supposed to feel pissed at Tyberius.Â
Â
"Yes, it's fucking me." Toni grins. "I want to look good when I walk away from you."Â
Â
'Good is putting it lightly.' Loki thought.Â
Â
"Seems like we'll both be looking too good when we walk away from you." Toni snorts, a grin gleaming in her eyes.Â
Loki couldn't help but grin. "Oh, we'll be walking together. Can I buy you a coffee..uh?"Â
"Antonietta, Antonietta Stark. You can call me Toni." Toni introduces herself, smiling brightly. "And as long as I can buy you one in return."Â
"But Antonietta sounds much better on my tongue." Loki smirks. "I'm Loki Borson."Â
Â
Loki sees the flush rising at the tips of Antonietta's ears.Â
Â
"A Borson? You guys are practically royalty!" Antonietta turns to scoff at Tyberius. "Dumbass."Â
Â
"I heard quite a bit about the Starks. But I'm more interested in you." Loki then turns to Tyberius, her poison green eyes gleaming. "You're lucky I don't have my daggers, or I would've gutted you like a fish."Â
"More like a pig. But I don't want to insult the pigs. They're twice as cute then he is."Â
Loki pushes past Tyberius, knocking him on his ass. Who let out another shout of protest.Â
Â
"Shall we?" Loki steps in front of Antonetta.Â
Â
Antonietta had to swallow, looking up at the gorgeous, breathtaking, tall woman.Â
Â
She loops her arm into Loki's. "Hell yes. Can I see your daggers?"Â
Â
They both walked over a blubbering Tyberius.Â
Â
Loki couldn't help the wide grin spreading across her lips. "Why, of course. But first, let's go get that coffee."Â
She pulls away from Antonietta to take off her leather jacket. Before wrapping it around the fierce petite woman.Â
Â
Antonietta gives her a warm smile, "Thank you again."Â
Â
Loki felt her heart twinge hard in her chest. "My pleasure."Â
Â
They both made their way to the counter, looping their arms into each other.Â
Â
Tyberius was still on the floor, dazed. "What the hell just happened?"Â
Â
An old man with white hair and eyeglasses, who sat at one of the tables near Tyberius. Looked down at him and laughed. "Looks like the ladies left you in the dust and found each other instead. Oh! Now that's an idea to start a comic on! Thanks for the inspiration, sleezy!" He cackles with pure joy.Â
Â
Â
Â
Seven years later..
Â
Â
"Antonietta?" Loki calls out, walking down the hallway.Â
Â
"In the kitchen!"Â
Â
Loki walks down the stairs; she can smell whatever her wife was cooking in the kitchen.Â
Â
Something definitely sweet.Â
Â
"What are you making, beloved?" She asks, as she enters the kitchen.Â
Â
Antonietta turns around, holding a caramel apple.Â
Â
Loki couldn't help but laugh, making her way towards her. Pulling her close by the hips, as she leans down to take a bite out of the apple.Â
Â
"Perfect."Â
Â
Antonietta snickers, stepping on her tip toes. Leaning up to kiss her wife's caramel covered lips.Â
"Mmh, now it's perfect." She licks her lips.Â
