first night

After the pizza I've got Dodger on his leash and grab my jacket.

"I'm out with Dodger, have a fun time!", I shout and take my phone and earphones.

"You're not staying?" Sebastian looks at me with wide eyes. That blue is mesmerizing.

"She's actual my dogsitter, so, she needs to take care of Dodger. But apparently... I'd like to join because this will be the last time I really have time for him. You okay to come with us?" Chris asks and looks at Sebastian.

"Uh, sure, I'm in." They both get up and we all go outside. I give the leash to Chris and he grabs it thankfully.

"Thanks..." He smiles and watches Dodger now, his attention completely drawn to him.

I lean to Sebastian, walking some steps behind Chris.

"You think he likes Dodger more than you? Because it looks like." I look up to him, a smile on his face as he lowers his eyes and shakes his head.

"I have a question. Do you take anything serious?" He lays his arm around my shoulder.

"Uh, yeah I do. Actually. But for serious talks we need to get to know each other first. Like, at least three dates. And since you're broke I am completely fine by just taking a walk or you can just come over and we're watching a movie paid by Chris, you know?"

He laughs. "So, you're demanding three dates to have a serious talk but you'd share a porno without even knowing me?"

"Uh, yeah? Like, you can easily forget a one night stand or bad sex but you can't easily forget someone who's taken a toll on your heart or soul. You know?" A shiver runs down my spine and I flash him a smile, but it doesn't quiet reach my eyes.

I hate faking a smile but I got pretty used to it since my surly ill-breeding ratsbane of a fiancé decided to leave me just two days before our wedding.

But the most time with Chris I'm really happy, I don't need to fake anything. It's really easy to go along.

Sebastian looks at me, squeezing me. "I'm sorry whatever happened to you."

His voice is soft now, his eyes flickering with a sadness I didn't see there before. Well, we don't know each other for a long time now, but still.

"Thank you." I shrug my shoulders as a cold wind blows us from behind.

"I should've brought warmer clothes. I'm not used to this coldness!" I moan loud enough for Chris to hear it.

"You knew where we're going, so don't cry now!", he shouts back as he turns around, grinning. "Dude, get your hands off her! I need her to stay!"

Sebastian pulls his arm away but I grab his wrist and put it back again.

"Sugar daddy's going to be pissed but I'm cold and I kinda like it. He's very warm." I smile widely and point at Sebastian.

"Oh god, I thought this can't get any worse, but here she is. Can you finally stop calling me that?" He laughs.

Sebastian grins. "What's that about the sugar daddy? Can you enlighten me please?"

I laugh and shrug. "We just discovered he's fulfilling every condition to be my actual sugar daddy so I just call him like that. It suits him, don't you think?"

Sebastian laughs, shaking his head. His hair bouncing.

"I can't believe we're talking about that, but, if you say so. Okay. So, what's the plan for the rest of the night?"

Chris shrugs. "What do you want to do? We could watch a movie, talk a bit, drink some beer... where are you staying?"

"Uh, at a hotel nearby. It's about 10 miles."

"Nearby? Dude, if you walk that you'd need days. Well, okay, not if you run like Chris tho. He's sick." I shake my head and snuggle into his side, wanting to feel the warmth of his body.

He gently runs his hand upon my arm to warm it up a little bit. "Don't worry, I will take a cab."

"You can stay at the house if you like, guess there's enough space. I'd share my bed if it's with you tho." I look up to him.

Chris laughs. "Or you'll take the couch. Just saying."

"Oh Chris if you're jealous you can join, I don't mind. At least don't steal my blanket cause I'll fucking freeze to death then."

"Oh don't worry about that, I'm too hot to let you freeze to death, sweetie. If Chris steals the blanket I'll make sure to cover you."

"Oh my god, I don't want to be in bed with you two. Seriously.... this is ... uh... nope." Chris shakes his head.

"Your loss, mate. I'm looking forward to it." I smirk at Sebastian. "Maybe I'll let Dodger steal the sheets on purpose."

I watch Dodger run around, sniffing excitedly on everything because it's all new to him.

A raindrop lands on the tip of my nose.

"It's raining! Urrrgh... we need to go home!", I shout. Chris laughs.

"You're a dogsitter, you're supposed to be out even if it's raining! Dodger, did you hear that? I hope she's as good as she said, because otherwise I need to find a better dog sitter. Like, someone who cares about my dog instead of my human friends."

He shoots us an angry look, holding back a laugh.

"I'm multitasking. I can care about Dodger and your human friends. Like, uh..."

"It's called doggy-style." Sebastian interrupts me.

We all burst out laughing.

--

When we're arriving at home we're completely wet by the rain. I take of my shoes and my jacket to unleash Dodger and pick him up.

"Let's go dry, because this wet you're not getting into bed. I share the bathroom with Dodger first!" I shout and run upstairs with Dodger in my arms. I switch on the lights and let Dodger down in the shower.

"Stay there, Dodger." I get rid of my soaking wet jeans and put them in the bathtub before getting the towels. I kneel down in front of Dodger and start rubbing his fur to dry him.

"So, I already know you like pizza and now you're kneeling down in front of a dog. That's not what I meant when I said you'll like it doggy-style."

I turn around to see Sebastian leaning in the doorframe, smirking at me with crossed arms in front of his chest.

"Well, Dodger will see a lot more of me than you'll ever will, honey, so don't get your hopes too high."

I continue drying Dodger and rubbing his paws clean gently before I let him get out of the shower. He runs outside the bathroom.

In the meantime Sebastian took off his wet pants, putting them next to mine into the bathtub.

"So, now we're even I guess. You've seen me without pants. Do you like what you see?" He comes closer until he's only inches away. I look up to him.

"No cause I already told there's not a big thing in there which would threaten me. Not at all intimidating, Sebbi."

"Why do you call me Sebbi?", he laughs and runs a hand through his hair. "Like, nobody does it."

"Well, now your nickname is Sebbi. Get used to it. Go get pants to cover yourself, I don't want to see these legs." I go around him and smack his ass on my way out.

"Although your ass is very nice! Get pants with ass cutouts, please!" I shout while I search for joggpants and put them on.

I can hear Chris and Sebbi chat outside when I take a deep breath, looking around my new bedroom for the next time.

It's big and has huge windows. I really like it.

I take my phone and see some messages of my friend.

Allie: Hey! How's London? Good flight? Tell me everything!

I smile and text her back.

Amara: Hey Allie! London's great. Work starts tomorrow because Chris needs to start his work then. I'm excited to be honest. I'll keep you updated.

Allie: Yes, please! Oh, I've seen Dean today. He was with his new girlfriend, uh, what's her name? Margareta?

I sigh and shake my head.

Amara: I guess so. Well, I don't care. I really don't want to hear something about this frothy pox-marked wagtail. Okay? Thank you...

I'm so into my phone right now I don't even hear the knock at my door or how the door opens.

"Are you alright?"

"Oh my fucking god, what the...!" I throw my phone away while whirling around, scared to death to stare into Sebastians blue eyes.

"Are you fucking mad? You scared me to death, you... you... cockweasel!"

I put my hand on my heart. "My heart skipped a beat, or five!"

He laughs. "I'm sorry, but you didn't answer my knocks so I thought I'll come in. So, are you alright?"

I shrug my shoulders. "My best friend back in LA texted me she's seen my ex fiancé with his new girlfriend. It's like, some weeks ago now but we were going to get married and..." I shrug. "I don't want to hear about them to be honest."

His expression changes. "I'm sorry to hear that. What a douchebag to let you go! Need a hug?"

I pout my lips. "Yes please..." I open my arms and he hugs me, his scent filling up my nose.

He rubs my back.
