To The Future
Two months later.
It was a slow process, but slowly and shortly, the Boiling Isles healed from the attack of the Confederation.
Buildings were rebuilt, shopes were reopened, and soon enough, life went as it had done before.
Everyone had to go back to their jobs and lives, even if they are still mourning those that are lost.
The university of wild magic made a statue of Gus, to honor his comment towards it. His curse was currently not available, as they found a teacher that could really honor him.
Trials went by for the members of the Confederation that had been captured. They were ugly, but justice was delivered.
Luz, Amity, and Willow had been there when Boscha was sentenced to spend the next 40 years behind bars. None of them looked at her as she was dragged back to her cell.
They still mourned, they still cried, but sure enough, life had to go on.
It would not be fair for those who died that they stayed stuck in the past. They had to move towards the future.
"Nervous ?"
"Noo.....ok maybe a little."
Willow laughed at her husband. "Come on, its ok. I am nervous as well."
Hunter and Willow had redone their wedding a month ago, and it had been just as planned, and just as wonderful as they deserved, even if there were some very painful absences.
Now though, now the couple was talking about the next step for their family.
Which is why they stood in front of the Bonesburgh Orphanage. Ready to find the new member of their family.
"I just...I am sad that we could not do what other do...al thanks to Boscha's jealousy."
"I know....but Boscha is already paying for what she did. And...in some way this feels right."
"Really ?"
"Don't get me wrong. I will always regret not being able to go threw the whole experience Luz and Amity had with Azura, but....I feel that maybe this is destiny. We get to help an abandoned kid, someone that had no one, that is alone and scared....just like people helped us in the past."
"Yeah....yeah I guess you are right."
"I....really want this Hunter. I don't care if its not our flesh and blood..."
"You mean flesh, wood, and blood."
"Shut it. The point is...I want us to be parents, to have a kid of our own. And...if this is what the titan wanted for us, I'll accept."
"Well then...let's go find our new member."
Hand in hand, Hunter and Willow went inside the orphanage, ready for the future.
"Are there yet ?"
"We are almost there sweetie, just hang out." Amity said from the passenger seat of the car.
It had taken a bit to plan it out, but at last, the Noceda-Blight family was finally going on vacation.
"I don't remember going here before."
"You were very young honey." Luz said, her eyes focused on the road. "But it is very fun. I look forward to finally teaching you to swim on the lake."
"Hahaha...that is gonna be stressful." Amity mumbled, remembering the time Luz taught her to swim. It was...not fun at first. "Take a left love."
"Thank you hermosa.....and, we are here !"
Luz stopped the car at the cabin's side.
"Wow....it looks fun !"
"Go on and settle in whatever room you want honey. We are right behind you."
Azura rushes in the cabin with her back pack.
"Remember honey, ears covered !"
"Yes Mom !"
Amity chuckled. "She certainly has your energy."
"Ah, come one. You were energetic too, once you were actually being yourself."
"True, but I never had that much like you. I can already imagine how her time at hexide is gonna be."
"I imagine we are gonna have some principal visits...she is Eda's grandkid."
"Remember me to keep Eda away from her before she enters hexide."
2 hours later, they had settled in, and were relaxing at the porch.
It was peaceful, quiet, just them and no one else.
It had been just what Amity wanted.
"I forgot the last time I saw you this relaxed Sweet Potato."
"I am in a peacefull place, with the love of my life and my beloved daughter, with nothing to worry about. So yes, I am very relaxed Batata."
Not to mention that the demon she had to call mother, was finally gone. That brought her a lot of inner peace.
"I agree. It is truly good to be able to relax like this. Though..."
"I know that face, you got something planned."
"I have just been thinking.....have you thought of giving Azura a sibling ?"
"You want me to return to the sleepless nights and the constant crying......yes I have thought about it. It would be nice actually......you get pregnant this time."
"Hahaha, yes I guess it would be my turn."
"We can talk it more back home, but for now, let's just relax."
"You got that right."
"Mama ! Can you teach me to swim now ?" Azura called from the cabin.
"Sure honey. I will gladly teach you...and see if Mommy remembers anything of what she learned."
"Is that a challenge ? You know I never back down from a challenge love."
The wives laughed and entered the cabin, going to get changed to spend time with their daughter.
Despite all their troubles, they had once again regained their peaceful life. And they were looking forward to continuing it in the future.
