The Demon Within Me

It’s incredible that one day you are forced to live a life you hate, to live the one of your dreams.

That’s the story of Amity Blight.

Ever since the death of Belos, it has all been fantastic, like living a dream she never though she could have.

With Belos gone, there was no more Emperor coven and truthfully, after the reveal, no one wanted it again.

Well there was some rebelión. But the Colector took care of most of it,

A new council to rule the islands was made, with Raine, Darius, and Eberwolf among the leaders.

The Isles were now not rule by one single person, and the council made sure no one tried to get their agenda.

The coven system was disbanded. Thanks to Alador’s efforts, the sigils were removed. Wild magic was allowed again, and a new era of freedom, and it did not apply to anyone more than Amity.

She didn’t go to college after graduation, instead she became Ms. Lilith’s apprentice and started traveling with her. Building her own inventions and started working as an author.

It was her dream, and that wasn’t even the best part.

The best part of it, was finally living with the love of her life. Luz Noceda. The person Amity owns all of this.

After they had dated for so long, Luz had asked the question, right after she graduated collage.

Their wedding had been one for the dreams. All of her friends and family there. Her father walking her down to the altar.

The kiss that officially turned them from awesome girlfriends, to awesome wifes.

They made their home next to the tree they made after they defeated grom. What started their life together.

But the suprises didn’t end there. No. There was something else.

Their miracle. Their daughter. Azura Noceda Blight, soon came to their lifes.

And Amity....Amity thought it was perfect.

But everyone wants a happy ending. But sometimes....sometimes that doesn’t come easy, even when you think you earned it.

Luz might have defeated her demon. But Amity...

Amity still has one demon left. And it’s coming closer than she thinks...

“I think we did great today.’ Lilith said. “This is a great new exhibition.”

“I’ll say Ms. Lilith.” Amity finished securing it on their ship. “We have been on a roll lately.”

“Oh please Amity. No need for Ms. Lilith. We are coworkers now.”

“Heh, sorry. Force of habit.”

“Well. I think we are all set. Time to go home. I do look forward to a nice bath and a hot meal.”

“Yeah...and I can’t wait to show Luz what we found, I bet she loved it.”

“Speaking of Luz. How’s is she doing on her new job.”

After finishing her colleague years, Luz had been working as the new human envasador of the Demon Realm.

She basically took care of the humans that now traveled to the demon realm. Those lost souls like her that needed a place to fit in.

At the same time, Vee took care of witches going into the human realm. To see a whole new world. It was the Noceda sisters business, and it was going great.

“She’s doing fine. Working mostly from home to take care of Azura. She’s constantly growing...”

“Hm....your tone significantly dropped, is something wrong my dear ?”

“No no...I’m just tired and want to see my family.”

“Oh well, let’s not keep you waiting anymore.”

The ship took off, and the two left the knee, heading towards home.

Towards Luz and Azura, who Amity loves dearly...

“Well my dear, your home is in sight, I can drop this off.”

“Thanks Ms. Lilith. If you find something new, just call me !”

Amity grabbed ghost and flew down home.

She landed in the door. Sighted and she fixed her hair, and entered the door.

“Hey Batata ! I’m home !”

“Sweet Potato !” Luz yelled, coming from the kitchen to hug her wife.

Amity grabbed her tightly and kissed those perfect lips.

“I missed you.”

“Yeah, we had to travel far...but we found such interesting things, I can’t wait to tell you.’

“Heheh...I’m sure we will love it. But first, Azura. Mommy is here !”

“I’m coming !”

Footsteps could be heard as a small girl came.

Azura soon came to view. Her long brown hair tied in a pony tail, and her gold eyes shinning as she saw Amity.

“Mom !” The kid yelled, jumping to her arms,

“Hey my little witching.” Amity said. Kissing her head. “Ah look at you, you’ve grown so much since I left.”

“Hehe, silly mommy, you only left for three days,”

“Yeah well. They felt like an eternity to me.”

“Allright you two. We need to get ready for dinner.” Luz said, getting back to the kitchen to get food.

Dinner was pleasant. Azura showed her the dress she bought with Luz, for Hunter’s and Willow’s wedding and how she later spent the day with her Grandma Eda and Grandparent Raine.

When Azura went to get ready to sleep. It was when Luz turned a bit serious.

“I have so much to show you from our trip and...”

“Amity I will love to hear it.....but we need to talk.”

“Oh....ok ?”

“Listen, in two days, I’m getting a big group and will need to be away for most of the day.”

“Oh well....I’m sure Hunter and Willow are busy with the wedding, and Em has her own kid now. Maybe Eda, Ed, or Gus could....”

“Amity. Why don’t you stay ? Why not spend a day with just Azura ?”

“.....”

“You never offer to stay when I need to leave. Are you...are you regretting...”

“No. I would NEVER regret having her. The day she was born was one of the happiest of my life.”

“Then What’s wrong....it’s like you’re afraid to be alone with her ? I talked with Lilith. She’s more than ok you staying home with her, you know you can tell me.”

“....it’s....it’s just....I guess I am scared. That maybe I....I’m like her.”

“Like....like Odalia ?”

That name still made her shiver. Even after disowning her, even after not seeing her for years, it still made her scared.

“Yeah....like Odalia.”

“Amity. You are nothing like Odalia.”

“But Luz....you had Camila. A very loving mother that made no doubt she adored you. What did I had for example. The most cruel witch that was willling to go along Belos’ plans just because it made her rich !”

Amity sighted and layed on Luz’s shoulder. Which she gladly accepted.

“I still see her. In my dreams. I hate her, but I can’t stop thinking about her. What if she tries something. What if she goes against me. Even if Dad, Ed, And Em left her as well, I started her downfall. Nobody even knows where she went after Dad divorced her and....we pretty much took everything for her.”

After the Blights, Luz, Willow, Gus, And Hunter, had all declared that Odalia knew of the massive genocide Belos was planning, and didn’t say anything And was willing to go along with. She had been declared an enemy of the Isles by the council. Al of her snails and assets were taken, which meant Alador pretty much got everything at the divorce. But when guards went to take her in, Odalia banished, and no one has seen her since then.

Amity had always been secretly afraid of that. Of what Odalia could be planning. It scared her so much, that it hurt to admit it.

“I know it’s hard my sweet potato. But she’s in the past, and she’s got no one. She can’t hurt you.”

“I don’t care if she hurts me, she already did that. But I’m sacred she gets close to you or Azura.”

“She won’t Amity. She won’t. And that fear shows me, that you are not like her !"

Amity said nothing at that.

"Just spend a day with her, connect with her. She wants to be with you."

"Allright. I will..."

Yet even with that, her fears did not decrease.

When Azura was ready to sleep, Amity went to tuck her in.

"Hey sweetie."

"Hey Mom."

"Listen. I talked with your Mama, and well...I need to clear something with you."

She grabbed a chair and sat beside her bed.

"Honey I know I've been absent lately, and not spending the time I should with you. But I assure you that it has nothing to do with you. It just....I have a demon within me that I struggle with."

"A demon ?" Her daughter asked. Not getting were Amity was going.

"I don't think I ever told you, about my mother have I ?"

"I have another grandma ?!"

"Honey listen to me. That woman is not, and will never be, your grandma. Your grandpa, uncle, aunt, and I disowned her, and for good reason. She was not a good person. Remember the evil emperor from our story, she helped him. She did horrible things, and...she really hurt us. Your grandpa, uncle, aunt, your Mama, myself...she did that while I still have to call her mother."

"But she is gone, right Mommy ?"

"I really hope she is sweetie. And whatever is the case, she is not getting close to you."

Amity looked around, and saw a familiar book.

"Wait a second, is that....the Good Witch Azura !"

"Yes ! Mama says it was really important to you two, that you named me like her because of it !"

"Hehehe. Yes. This books were what really brought us together. Has your Mama being reading this to you ?"

"Yep !"

"In which part are you. I can read some of it if you want ?"

Exited that her mother was finally spending time with her, she pointed to the page she was in, and layed as Amity read her book.

"Oh Mittens, look at you." Odalia said, looking threw her sphere at her former daughter. "You have really become the opposite of what I was making you. Well, enjoy it while it last my dear. The Isles need to redecorate, and I'm afraid that picture does not include you, dear Mittens."
