Glitter Bomb

There are many downsides to having two hyper-intelligent teenagers running around your extremely expensive labs and building. Hell, Tony was staring at his own lab as he contemplated the idea. The mass destruction the two could cause without Peter's powers involved. Now, Tony was already decently worried before the whole prancing idea was voiced, but having them actually in the tower together felt like one of his dumber decisions. Now, don't get him wrong, he did Kenner-proof his labs, but that didn't mean that both Harley and Peter couldn't find ways to cause untold destruction around the tower.

That said, hearing screaming in the distance was not how Tony expected to start his day. He knew it was Peter or Harley screaming, but he could tell that Captain no-fun had been hit with the pair's first prank.

Whatever that was.

He half wanted to just lay in bed and pretend he heard nothing. After all, his sleep schedule was completely fucked, even when he tried to sleep on time. Who would blame him for still being asleep at a quarter to 11? No one.

Unfortunately, Tony was a semi-responsible adult. Which meant he had to see what his two gremlins decided to do. With a large grunt, he yanked up self out of bed, not bothering to get fully dressed as he walked towards the noise of screaming that filled the halls of the tower. Was he going to stop screaming anytime soon? Maybe Tony was imagining it.

As he reached the hall where Mr. America's room was, he saw Harley and Peter clinging to each other, both in fits of giggles as they replayed an audio recording of Steve's scream. That answered one question at least.

"What are you two up to?" Tony asked tiredly.

“Glitter bomb!" They exclaimed together.

Tony cast a look at the door besides them, seeing some glitter spill out from under the door. The boy's themselves were pretty fingered no glitter. It caked their hair and seemed embedded in their clothes. It implied that it was either several glitter bombs, or they made a glitter bomb large enough to cover the entire room. Either way, it was too early for Tony to deal with it. "Alright. You two already eat?"

They both shook their head, surprised they weren't being yelled at. Glitter is fucking hard to remove.

"Great, I'll order pizza. Any suggestions?"

"You're not mad?" Peter questioned.

Tony cast a glance to the door besides them, and started wading the two back to the kitchen. "Remember what I told you? Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil."

The two boys perked up at that, grinning, having made an accomplice out of Tony.

"Clean up first. You both have glitter all over you. I'll order the pizza," Tony informed. The kids nodded Nd dashed off, leaving a faint trail of glitter in their wake. Tony chuckled a bit as he pulled out his phone. Despite asking for suggestions, he knew what both boys liked on pizza. He knew what all his gremlins liked on pizza, and decided to order right away, leaving a hefty tip for the delivery driver. He'd go get the pizza when the driver was close, and he guessed that the delivery driver might be slightly shocked by his appearance.

After ordering, Tony decided to call up Ben and May, to update them on Peter.

Apparently, they were morning people.

"Tony! Good morning!" Ben greeted cheerfully.

"Morning. You two doing alright?" Tony asked.

"House is a little empty without Peter, but we are. How's he holding up?"

Tony chuckled lightly. "He and Harley have become fast friends. I knew they'd get along, but it's still nice to see."

"The way you described this Harley kid made us think so too. What's the plan for today?"

"Well, they're both getting glitter off themselves since they decided to glitter bomb cap, then we're going to have pizza. You two are free to come over if you like."

"As much as I'd love that, May had a shift at the hospital she's covering. I'm trying to spider-proof the apartment before Peter gets back," Ben admitted.

Spider-proof. Hilarious. "Fair enough. You two are always welcome though."

"We know," Ben admitted happily. "That said, me and May wanted to ask you something."

"Yeah?"

"Well, since Peter spends a lot of time at the tower and you already have a room set up... what if you kept him on weekends. You're his father after all, and I'm sure he'd love to spend more time there."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive. We know he'll be safe while he's there. It's not like we can't still pop by either, but we'd like if we could do this for Peter. You can pick him up on Fridays and he can come home on Sunday night."

The idea made his heart soar. "We'd just need to add me to his pick up list, wouldn't we?"

"We can do that on Monday if that's alright with you? I have the day off and so does May. It might make it easier to explain if we're all there. Though, we'd be talking about the internship."

"Sounds like a plan."

Ben chuckled lightly. "Alright, then I'll let you go. Enjoy your lunch."

"You too Ben. Bye."

"Goodbye."

As Tony hung up, he felt euphoric. Weightless and content. More time with his son? He'd never pass up anything like that. And there was another feeling, swelling up in his chest. A happiness he hadn't known in awhile.

Ben's voice was really nice. And so was he. And May. They're were so unabashedly loving, and Tony liked seeing it. Being around them. He couldn't really help his smile as he tucked his phone away, leaving for his room to get dressed so he didn't look on the brink of death when he collected the pizza. Granted, he would still probably look that way, but not dressed in pajamas.

When he left to head downstairs, his army of children were waiting, all equally dressed as well. Tony eyed them all as they talked, then looked at his wrist.

He could use the extra help.

“Pizza’s almost here, come on.”

And his four science children followed him into the elevator to fetch some pizza. They all looked so happy around each other, Tony couldn’t ask for better. And he was already excited to see his kid genius army grow. Wether that meant genius in terms of power or ability, he didn’t care. These kids all came to him for guidance and he was glad to be there. Surrounding Peter with minds just like his, that’s all he could ask for.
