A Trip to the Grocery Store
It has been two weeks since Halloween and thankfully candy supply was still good! I think it should last me till December! Plus I was getting better at sneaking a candy here and there. Even Zemo, who’s usually the one who catches me hadn’t seen me sneak one or two. My ninja skills were improving!
Today the four of us were sitting around eating lunch. Bucky made his specialty sandwiches (one of the few foods he’s really good at making) and Zemo was making this…interesting soup for all of us. It was a green soup and it smelled…interesting as well.
Bucky and Sam looked visibly disgusted but I put on a fake smile for Zemo. I didn’t want to crush his spirits.
“It’s a special soup they made in Sokovia during the harsh winters. It will warm you right up Y/N.” He said placing the bowl of soup right infront of me.
Sam and Bucky both looked at Zemo disgusted “Are you trying to poison her?” Sam joked. “What’s in it?”
Zemo just rolled his eyes. “It’s a family recipe. It’s top secret. The only person I will ever tell is Y/N one day. I am not poisoning her. She can chose to eat it or not to. The choice is hers.” Zemo said handing me my little spoon.
I looked at Zemo, then the soup. I wasn’t really a big fan of vegetables when I was feeling little, and this soup was green like a vegetable. But Sam and Bucky had been ripping Zemo about this soup all morning and he genuinely looked so excited for me to try it.
So without further ado, I picked up my spoon and tried the soup. There was dead silence in the house while my taste buds decided whether or not I liked the soup. But after a second I looked at Zemo and smiled.
“This is really good.” I simply said.
His face lit up “That’s my little girl.” He walked over and places a kiss on my cheek. “She’s likes her daddy’s soup.”
Bucky leaned over “Did he pay you to like the soup?”
I shook my head. “I’m not lying! It really taste nice! It looks weird and smells weird but it’s actually really good. Try some!”
I picked up my spoon and brought it up to Bucky but he leaned back and put his hands up. “I think I’ll pass but thank you for offering Doll.”
Once settled, we were all having lunch together. Zemo and I had soup while Bucky and Sam ate sandwiches. In the middle of our lunch Sam got a phone call.
“I’ll be right back, I gotta take this.” Sam got up and took his call in the bedroom.
The entire time he was gone I was curious to who he was talking to. If it was Sarah he would talk at the table. If it was Torres he would put it on speaking for me and him to talk about missions with. But this must’ve been someone different.
My curiosity was hitting me hard. I kept leaning and looking over toward his room to try to hear who he could be talking. Zemo and Bucky absolutely found it adorable.
“You’re really dying to know who he’s talking to, huh?” Bucky said before taking a bite from his sandwich.
“If it was Sarah or Torres he would’ve taken the call at the table. But he took the call in his room.” I explained to Bucky.
“We have a very intuitive little girl.” Zemo praised, causing me to blush.
Sam soon returned a couple of minutes later from his call. I was eager to hear about the call but he just sat down and grabbed his sandwich to eat.
Bucky stopped him for a second “You gotta tell Y/N who you were talking to because if not I think she’s going to explode.”
I shook my head but my blushing gave me away.
Sam smiled “You know, I was going to wait till after lunch to tell you guys but since some people are too curious than other I’ll tell you now. This year we’re going to be hosting Thanksgiving at our house. Since we’re all moved in I thought it would be nice to have a move in party here and invite Tony, Rhodey and Peter over to celebrate it with us. But what’s a better way to celebrate it than on Thanksgiving itself!” Sam explained smiling at the idea.
The three of us had three different thoughts about it. I was both extremely excited and extremely nervous. On one hand…I WANT TO MEET SPIDER-MAN AND IRONMAN AND WAR MACHINE!!!! But also I’m not sure I’m comfortable being Little around cool people like them! But Sam said Spider-Man was just like me and was a Little too.
I had so many thoughts but ended up saying “That would be so cool!”
Bucky was worried. Last time he saw Tony really close up was when they were fighting in the super soldier labs in Russia. Actually Zemo was there too. After that he fought along side him in Endgame but that was when Steve was there as a buffer between them. Would be look at him differently now that Steve wasn’t there to keep the peace? Would Peter be scared of him? After all he fought him as well and he’s a Little like Y/N.
Zemo was a bit worried and confused. Why would Sam invite them over when Zemo was no doubt going to be here too? He exposed Bucky’s past to Tony, and caused the Avengers to split. Was he going to be okay sitting at a table for Thanksgiving with him? How did he fit into this whole equation?
Sam noticed the silence between Bucky and Zemo. “Alright, I know we have a lot to work out but I think this will be good for all of us.” Sam started to say. “We’ve been so sheltered as Caregivers and I think talking to fellow Caregivers who have a Little the same age as our Little would be good for us.” Sam tried to encourage.
“But what about everything that happened…with us? I know Rhodey is fine with me but Tony…I can’t really see him…forgiving me.” Bucky managed to say. Y/N never knew what happen between him and Tony and he was afraid she would find out at this dinner.
Bucky felt extremely guilty about everything that happened in his past as the Winter Soldier. How could he not? He still remembered everyone. Especially Tony’s parents who were friends of his in the army.
“Buck, what happened between you and Tony is out and over. The Avengers broke up, then we got back together to fight Thanos and now we’re all….complicated. But I don’t think Tony’s going to hold it over your head all dinner. After all, if he didn’t want to come Rhodey would have plainly told me. But he said Tony was happy to come over and meet everyone.” Sam said trying to relax Bucky a little.
“Including me?!” I said with stars practically in my eyes. Tony Stark was happy to see me?!
Sam laughed “Yes Y/N, Tony Stark said he’s excited to meet you too.”
Sam loved seeing Y/N so pumped to meet them. I couldn’t believe it, I was going to meet Ironman on Thanksgiving. But not only him but Spider-Man and War Machine too!! Not going to lie…I’m most excited to meet Spider-Man. I’m a big fan of his! I’ve seen almost every video of him captured online! He’s so cool! And to find out here’s a Little like myself is super big!!
“What about me?” Zemo added to the conversation. “No doubt they would still hold some grudges over me.” Which was true…after all he did destroy the Avengers from within.
“They already know you’re living with us. They probably won’t be the most friendly but I’m sure they’ll warm up. But they aren’t going to kick you out of the house or something.” Sam explained.
“Maybe we can invite Oeznik over for Thanksgiving too. That way you have someone here.” I suggested.
Zemo smiled “That would be a wonderful idea. I’m sure Oeznik would be honored to spend the holiday with us.”
The idea was perfect! Even if everyone ignored Zemo, he would have both me and Oeznik to keep him company! Now everyone was a bit more settled with the Thanksgiving plans! But there was just one more thing.
“Since we’re going to have a lot more people than we usually do for Thanksgiving, we have to go grocery shopping. That means all three of us are going to have to go to the store. I don’t think Bucky and I could do it alone.” Sam explained.
Ah yes, grocery stores around Thanksgiving. What a madhouse. People running around, cutting other people off so they can get to the turkey first. It’s a bit of a war zone. But I didn’t want Sam and Bucky to be stuck there all day so if Zemo and I could help we definitely should.
Its just that I don’t really like big crowds of people in such a small area like a grocery store aisle. It throws me into my little headspace and makes me anxious. But then again I won’t have one but all three of my daddies with me so I should be fine. And if I’m not they can help me.
“We’ll get started on a menu tonight and then tomorrow we’ll head to the store.” Sam smiled.
He wanted the absolute best Thanksgiving for his family and Rhodey’s family. Plus he was so excited to host them in his house, and finally show them his family. But most of all he wanted to show his friend his beautiful little girl.

The next morning I was bundled up outside in the backyard with Bucky, raking leafs into a big pill. All of Washington DC’s trees were now different colors and we’re starting to fall. That left our backyard covered in leaves.
“Can I jump in the pile once we’re done?” I asked Bucky.
“As much as I love you to, it would just make the leafs go everywhere again.” Bucky explained but I hit him with my best puppy dog eyes.
Bucky sighed looking at Y/N adorable face. With one glance back to the house and once more at her, he said “You better get a running start.” Bucky smiled.
“Wait! Can you throw me into it?” I smiled as well, coming up with the fun idea.
Bucky dropped the rake and put his arms out to me. I immediately ran over. He picked me up and began to swing me.
“Ready? 1….2….3!” On three he swung me forward and let go, throwing me dead center into the giant pile of leafs.
I landed in one big whoosh! All the leafs almost swallowing me!
“Oh no! Where did Y/N go?” Bucky joked looking around the leaf pile.
I jumped up with leafs in my hair. “I’m right here! The leafs tried to eat me” I giggled.
“Then I would have to fight the leafs to get you out!” Bucky joked taking my hand and helping me out of the pile.
“Can we do it again?!” I said once I was out of the pile.
“I think we’re heading to the store soon sadly. But maybe after we come home.” He said carefully picked the leafs from my hair.
I whined and threw my head back dramatically.
“I know, I feel the same way but Sam needs all the extra hands he can get to get all the things we need for the big meal. He’s so desperate he’s bringing Zemo along.” Bucky said making me giggle.
“I heard that.” Zemo stood in the doorway of the house.
“We’re getting ready to leave. Come on Y/N, let’s get you changed and grab your coat.” Zemo put his hand out for me and I gladly took it.
“I don’t wanna goooo.” I whined as we went back in the house.
“Think of this as a little adventure with your Daddies.” Zemo said trying to lift my spirits.
Zemo took me into my room to get into a fresh pull-up and into my winter jacket. He always knew my preference was a pull-up over a diaper, which I greatly appreciate. After helping me into my jacket he picked a leaf out from hair. The two of us looked at it and smiled.
“You jumped in a leaf pile again, didn’t you?” He looked up at me with a playful smirk.
I giggled “Leaf piles are irresistible.” I said trying to mimicking his accent but failing horribly.
Zemo smiled at my attempt. He picked me up off the changing table and took my hand.
“My Little boy used to do the same thing. I would work long and hard on ranking the yard only for him to jump in it when my back was turned.” Zemo smiled remembering the memory of his Little.
The holidays were always the hardest time of the year for him. The memories of his wife and their Little always came back, making him him feel more alone than ever in this world. But now he had someone to help him through his grief, to help him through the holidays. Maybe now he could make some new memories with his Little girl.
“Zemo! Y/N! Come on, we want to get there before the rush.” Sam called from the living room.
“Come along, we have to start our grocery store adventure.” Zemo said.
I quickly grabbed my Bucky bear before we left my room. After meeting everyone in the living room I put Bucky bear in Bucky’s backpack before we went out to the car.
We all gathered in and we’re off to the store. Zemo and I sat in the back while Sam drove and Bucky sat shotgun. As we drove we passed by shop after shop that was decorated for Christmas.
“What do you guys want for Christmas? I have to start planning in advance.” I asked the three only to get the same answer from all of them.
“Y/N, you don’t have to get us anything. We want to treat you.” Sam replied. Zemo and Bucky gave the same type of answer too.
“Fine, fine. Then I’ll have to figure it out myself this year.” I remained stubborn on the fact I was going to get them something for Christmas. After all, they can’t just treat me without me treating them!
“What do you want for Christmas this year?” Bucky asked but I shrugged.
“I haven’t really thought about it yet.” Christmas was a whole month away.
But I guess it was just around the corner. I need to write my list to Santa! “I’m content with you guys.” I smiled.
The three smiled. “You are too sweet little one.” Zemo smirked.
“How are you feeling headspace wise?” Bucky asked.
“I’m feeling big now…Why?” I asked as well.
“Well when we’re in the store we want you to stick close to us. Don’t wander off on your own. It’s going to be crowded so we don’t want to lose you in the rush of people.” Bucky started to explain.
“If you begin to feel overwhelmed by everyone just let one of us know and we’ll find a less crowded place.” Sam added. “You know the rules. Just because we’re at the store doesn’t mean we won’t enforce them.”
I nodded my head. Seemed easy enough. But that’s big me talking, Little me always had different plans when it came to my rules.
We finally arrived at the store. Just by the parking lot alone I could sense it was going to be extremely busy. We all jumped out of the warm car and made our way through the cold fall air to the store. Zemo and Bucky didn’t even seem effected by the cold air.
Maybe because Zemo is wearing his fancy coat that is like a giant blanket and Bucky is the winter soldier so maybe…because he’s the winter soldier…the cold doesn’t bother him anyway…like Elsa.
We made our way into the front of the store. Inside every store there are two different types of shopping carts. The first type holds small children in the front and the second type is made for Littles to sit in the front of the cart. Sam grabbed the one for a Little to sit in.
The two of us looked at each other. “I am not sitting in that.” It wasn’t a matter of it being gross, it’s was a matter of my shyness taking over.
“Well you never know. Maybe you’ll get tired of walking half way through. It’s not like that’s happen to you before.” Sam said sarcastically.
“Yeah it’s not like I carried you home on Halloween or at the park.” Bucky added.
“Or when I carried you home to Bucky apartment after our mission in New York.” Zemo also added.
“Okay, okay! You’ve all made your point. When did this become an Y/N roast?” I started laughing.
Bucky did his signature ruffle of my hair. “Come on Doll, let’s get this grocery trip over with.”
He took my hands as we all walked into the store. Sam wheeled the cart and I walked between Zemo and Bucky.
Sam pulled out his list and handed it to Zemo. “You want to be in charge of making sure we get everything on the list?”
Zemo smirked “Of course. I’m also going to pick up some ingredients to make my soup again.” Zemo added, taking the list from Sam.
“Please do us all a favor and save that for just Y/N and you.” Sam laughed.
“It really is a good soup if you and Bucky actually gave it a try.” I said sticking up for Zemo.
“You won’t eat your green vegetables but you’ll eat his green soup.” Bucky joked.
“Vegetables are gross! Zemo soup was good.” I added, defending Zemo’s soup again.
“I hate to tell you little one, but my soup has vegetables in it.”
I stopped dead in my tracks. “Wait a minute. What type of vegetables?”
Bucky chucked. “Better keep that a secret Zemo if you want her to keep eating your soup.”
“Maybe my soup will make her appreciate vegetables more.” Zemo suggested to me but I shook my head.
“I don’t think I physically can like vegetables when ice cream and cookies exist.” My three daddies laughed.
***
We started to make our way through the extremely crowded store. More and more our cart started to fill up. Zemo read our list out while Sam wheeled the cart and Bucky and I put food in the cart. But the more the shopping trip started to go on, the more my Little side started to show more and more.
We walked into the bakery section which was a mistake for my daddies because my eyes hit upon the cookie section. I let go of Bucky’s hand and ran over to the table across the room.
“Y/N, wait a second.” Bucky said as he was putting something in the cart but I was already gone.
I grabbed two small boxes of cookies and then returned to my daddies. “Can we get chocolate chip?”
The three of them didn’t look too happy. “Or we can get sugar cookies instead.” I said confused to the angry faces.
“Y/N, did you tell Bucky you were going over there?” Sam asked me sternly.
I just looked down. “No.”
Bucky sighed and took the cookies, putting them in the cart. “I don’t want to lose my little doll in this crowded store. If you want to go look at cookies or something else just let me know and I’ll take you over.”
Bucky said taking my hand again. “This is your first warning. If you run off again you’re sitting in the cart for the rest of the trip.”
I nodded my head but wasn’t really listening. The only thing I was focused on was the fact he put both cookies in the cart. We were getting chocolate chip and sugar cookies!!
Zemo took over pushing the cart while Sam, Bucky and I grabbed things off shelves and threw them into the cart. My little side was still in full swing as I was starting to feel the boredom of this trip.
“We forgot the green beans and carrots in the last aisle.” Zemo said looking over the list.
“I’ll go grab it. Keep an eye on this one.” Bucky gestured to me before he walked away.
All three of them noticed the change in Y/N as their shopping trip went on. She slowly started to sink more and more in to her little headspace. It was good sign, it meant she was more comfortable in public being Little. But it also meant they had to keep a closer eye on her little antics. Especially with her unstoppable curiosity.
Sam was at the end of the aisle grabbing something and I was standing next to Zemo and the cart. That’s when I saw a dog! He was chilling with his owner while she grabbed something from one of the shelves in the middle aisle. The dog wasn’t wearing a vest or anything that said do not pet, so he was open for me to pet him.
I pulled on Zemo’s coat while staring at the dog. “Daddy?”
Zemo didn’t look from the list. “Yes little one?”
“Can I go over and pet the doggie?” I pulled on his coat with one hand and pointed to the dog with the other.
He put the list down and looked over to where I was pointing to, in the middle aisle sat a golden retriever and his owner shopping.
“Let’s wait till Sam’s done in this aisle first, then we can walk over and see the dog. Okay?” He smiled.
But what if the owner walked away?! What if I never saw the dog again?! I couldn’t wait!
But before a had a chance to protest Sam called over to Zemo.“How many cans did you need for your soup?”
Zemo turned towards Sam and thought for a minute.“Get two just incase.”
Sam grabbed the cans and walked back over to the cart. He paused for a second then looked at Zemo. “Where’s Y/N?”
Once Zemo was distracted by Sam I took my advantage to go see the doggie. I would be back in a second! They wouldn’t even notice me gone! I walked into the middle aisle but the doggie and owner were gone. I looked down and saw the dog walking into another aisle so I followed him down it.
“Excuse me.” I said to the girl holding the dogs leash. “I love your doggie! Is he friendly?”
She smiled “Yeah, he’s super friendly. You can pet him if you want. He’ll love you forever.”
Well that’s all she had to say. I immediately started to pet the cute blonde shaggy dog. He absolutely loved it too.
“What’s his name?” I asked her.
“Lucky, but we call him pizza dog as a joke because he loves pizza.” We both laughed.
“Picking up food for the holidays?” She asked.
“Yeah, it’s boring.” I confessed to her.
“Yeah I couldn’t agree more with you. Hopefully we’ll both get of this store soon.” She winked.
I liked this girl, she was similar to me. Wait! Maybe she’s a Little like myself. Definitely not the same age headspace as me, probably a lot older. Before I could say anything more someone called out to her.
“Kate! Come on, we’re going to be late if we don’t get out of here.” Some guy called out to her at the end of the aisle.
I looked up to see who he was but there were too many people. I could have sworn I saw Hawkeye of all people but that can’t be possible!
“Well, I gotta go. It was nice meeting you! Happy Thanksgiving!” Kate smiled.
“It was nice meeting you and Lucky too. Happy Thanksgiving!” And with that they both left.
I retraced my steps and went back to the canned food aisle that we were once in but Sam and Zemo were gone. My heart dropped, okay, no need to panic yet, I’m sure they haven’t gone too far.
I started to walk around the area to see if I could find one of the three of them. Surely I could fine one of three Caregivers, especially since two of them are very tall. But the store got very crowded very fast. The rush Sam was talking about earlier had finally arrived. And the bigger crowds were starting to overwhelm me.
At the end of the aisle was a guy with a similar jacket to Bucky’s. I immediately took off and ran down the aisle. But once I got closer the man turned around and wasn’t Bucky. Now I was in a unfamiliar area of the store.
Now I started to panic. My little side had fully sunk in and I was getting upset. Tears started to build in my eyes as I tried desperately to find my daddies. Turning my head in every direction I looked frantically for them. How was I going to find them? Would I ever find them again? I really started to cry, wiping the tears away from my eyes trying desperately to find them.
But I should know by now that whenever I need them most, they usually find me. “Y/N! There you are! I was so worried we lost you!” Sam said walking over to me.
I just ran into his arms and started sobbing. Sam immediately picked me up, wrapping his arms around me.
He started to rub my back trying to calm me down. “Awwww. It’s okay Princess. You just got a little scared because you couldn’t find Daddy. But I’m right here baby, no need to be upset. I’ll always save you.” He added, forever being my Captain America.
“I…I couldn’t…find you. And there are so many people…I thought I lost you forever.” I said between cries.
“You’re okay princess. You never have to worry, Daddy will always come to save you.” Sam said.
I’ve never been more happy to see Sam in my life. Well maybe this would be second to when he helped me with the armored car in New York. I think that one would be the number one time.
Sam was worried and angry when he realized Y/N was missing. Of course her curiosity got the better of her and she disappeared. But when he saw her standing in the middle of the aisle on the verge of a break down, his heart broke. All his anger disappeared. He knew it wasn’t just missing them that scared Y/N, the big crowds also overwhelmed her. That only added to her being upset.
Sam carried me back over to Zemo and Bucky who were just as worried as Sam was.
“Where was she?” Zemo immediately asked.
“I found her in the middle of the aisle looking for us. She was so scared but she doesn’t have to be anymore because we found her. She’s safe now.”
Sam could read Zemo like a book. He looked so upset the moment they realized she was gone on his watch. There was only one thing to make him better and that was Y/N. So Sam handed her over to Zemo. Never in my life have I been held so tightly like I have in Zemo’s arms.
“I’m so sorry I left. I’ll never do it again! I missed you so much.” I whispered squished in his arms.
He held me with one arm and the other was wrapped around my back, holding my head on his hand. “Please don’t ever do that again. I’ll take you anywhere you want to go but you must go with me. I don’t know what I would do if I lost you.” He whispered back.
“I-I didn’t think I’d s-see you again.” I was still extremely upset losing the three of them.
“If I had to turn this whole store upside down I would to find you.” Zemo joked, hoping to lift Y/N’s spirits. “Could you image Daddy ripping the store apart?” He smirked bouncing me a little in his arms.
I nodded, rubbing the tears away from my eyes. “Ripping the aisles down?” I asked.
“I’d rip the floors off to find you.” He joked again.
“What did I say before I left? I could see her curiosity was just inching to go look at something by herself.” Bucky said to Sam and Zemo.
Bucky could have called this happening. He knew Y/N’s little side far too well. Her curiosity would be the death of her. Or rather, her curiosity would always land her in trouble.
Once I had calmed down a bit more Zemo placed me in the cart’s child seat and buckled me up. My legs dangled out the front where you pushed the cart. I whined, pulling at the buckle. I didn’t want to be in the cart! I wanted to be held.
On top of that I felt like the whole store was looking at me sitting in the cart. I continued to try to unbuckle myself but I realized I had a biggest issue to deal with…the three angry daddies type of issue.
“I’m sorry! I’m really sorry.” I started out with before anyone could say anything to me.
Maybe that could save me? Who am I kidding? We all know that would be too easy.
“Did I or did I not warn you not to walk away without telling one of us?” Bucky asked me.
“I told Daddy I was going to see the doggie!” I said trying to defend myself. I did tell Zemo where I was going.
“And what did I tell you? I told you to wait till Sam came back over. And just because you didn’t like my answer you walked away without my permission and got lost in this busy store.” Zemo said very sternly. Zemo anger always sent chills down my spine.
“But she was walking away. I didn’t want to miss seeing the doggie.” I said softly still trying to defend myself. Was there really any chance for me getting out of this?
“What if Sam never found you? What would you have done?”
Tears started to roll down my cheeks again. “I just wanted to see the doggie. But then I couldn’t find you and it really scared me. I’m sorwy!”
Bucky wiped the tears off my cheek. “I’m just happy we found you.” Bucky gave me a hug.
He broke away and kissed my head before saying “But, you’re staying in this cart for the rest of the shopping trip. I gave you one warning and you broke it so this is your punishment.”
This was my punishment? Getting pushed around in a cart by my daddies didn’t seem too bad to me. But as our cart started to go through the store I started to see why this was my punishment. I missed walking around and being able to grab things. Plus I didn’t like to be front and center in the cart. My anxiety was leaving me and in its place my shyness took over.
“Can…can I have my…my…bear?” I said to Bucky starting to feel a bit overwhelmed by the crowded aisle.
“Of course Doll. You know he was extremely worried about you while you were missing. He was about to call the National Guard to come find you. I was about to join him.” Bucky said trying to lift my spirits. I couldn’t help but smile.
Bucky pulled his backpack off and pulled out my bear stuffie. I instantly grabbed onto my bear and started to pet his fur. Bucky Bear always knew how to make me feel relaxed. Holding him close started to make my anxiety and my shyness disappear.
Bucky pushed the cart around the store as Zemo and Sam grabbed the last remaining items on the shopping list. Of course we stopped in the busiest aisle. My face started to blush like crazy as more and more people pass by our cart. Guess I spoke too soon with the shyness. Some people smiled and some people waved at me. Some Littles that walked past the cart pointed out my bear.
“Mommy look at her bear!” One Little boy said.
The woman looked at me and smiled. “She has a really nice bear doesn’t she?”
The whole time my face was red as ever. The two walked away after saying a little goodbye to me and my bear. The whole time Bucky found me absolutely adorable.
He decided to take my mind off everyone around us. “What are you most excited to eat on Thanksgiving?” He asked me.
”The cookies.” I said pointing them out in the cart.
Bucky laughed. “I meant real Thanksgiving food Y/N, not sweets.”
I thought about it for a second “Mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese.” I quickly answered. “What about you?”
Bucky thought about it for a moment. “I think I would say mashed potatoes for me too.” I don’t know why, but that answer perfectly fit him. “What about your bear?” He asked.
I giggled “He only likes honey…and your sandwiches!”
“Excuse me sir.” An old lady tapped on Bucky. “I have to say you have the cutest little girl I have ever seen.” The old lady looked over and waved at me.
My face immediately heated up again. My shyness took over but I couldn’t hide behind Bucky or one of my daddies because I’m stuck in this stupid cart. So instead I just held Bucky Bear against my face and turned away.
Bucky smiled putting a hand on my shoulder to soothe me. “Thank you. I’m very lucky to have her.” Bucky said back to the old lady. He was blushing slightly too. Bucky always wasn’t one to be the center of attention. After that the nice old lady walked away.
Hearing him say he was lucky to have me made my heart soar. As soon as she left I lifted my head and looked at Bucky. I placed Bucky bear next to me in the cart before I took at his hand off my shoulder and held it in mine.
“I’m lucky to have you more.”
“You’re lucky to have me more? I don’t know about that Y/N, I think I’m the lucky one here to have you.” Bucky smirked.
“Nope I’m the luckiest!” I started to laugh.
Sam came back over to the cart. “What’s this one laughing about?” Sam smiled seeing my spirits lifted.
“Well we’re debating who’s more lucky to have the other. I think it’s us but she thinks it’s her.” Bucky explained.
“The answer would obviously be us with this beautiful little princess.” Sam leaned over and placed a kiss on my cheek.
“Well considering l have two super heroes and a Baron as my daddies I would say I’m the lucky one.” But just as I said that Zemo walked over and joined as all.
“But we all wouldn’t be as happy as we are without you in our lives. So I would say that makes us the lucky one.” Zemo added to the conversation.
“How about we settle on the fact that we’re all very lucky to have each other? Now, are we all finished with this trip? This store is on my nerves.” Bucky asked Sam and Zemo.
Zemo looked over the list and our cart full of food. “I believe we are all finished.” I breathed a sigh of relief. I can’t wait to go home!
We made our way to the checkout area of the store. Sam picked me up and took me out of cart while they started to ring everything up. I stuck close to Sam and held his hand and Bucky Bear tightly. I wasn’t losing my daddies again! The cashier smiled at me and waved. I shyly waved back but hid behind Sam. As usual my daddies were gushing over how cute I was when I was shy. Once we checked out we walked back to our car and loaded all the food into the trunk.
I jumped into my seat and was trying to buckle myself up but for some reason was struggling. I don’t know why but my little headspace always made things confusing and fuzzy.
Zemo leaned over and helped me buckle up. “That’s okay, Daddy will help you.” Once buckled Zemo gave me a little kiss on the head.
“Thank you Daddy.”
Zemo smirked “For the kiss or for buckling you up?” Always sassy as ever.
“For both silly!” I giggled.
“Oh well in that case, you’re welcome little one.” Zemo winked. He sat back and buckled up himself.
Soon Bucky and Sam hopped in the front seat and we were off, heading back home. The grocery store wasn’t far from our house but on the car ride home both myself and Bucky drifted off to sleep. Sam looked over at Bucky and Y/N, laughing.
“With Y/N I expect her to take a nap on the car ride home but Bucky too?” He smirked looking over at his boyfriend, with his head against the window sound asleep. “My sleep old man.”

It was the night before Thanksgiving. I was sound asleep in my bed when I woke up to the sound of someone in the kitchen. Did someone break in? If so how was I the only one who heard it and not my daddies?
But after a moment of closely listening I knew where the noise was coming from, or rather who it was coming from. I grabbed Duckie and Bucky bear along with my blanket and made my way into the kitchen.
There sitting at the table was Bucky. He looked rough, like he had woken up from a horrible nightmare. He lifted his head up from his cup of coffee when he heard me walking over to the table.
“I’m so sorry, did I wake you up Doll?” I shook my head making my way over to him.
“I was already up.”
Bucky smirked. “You know, lying is one of your rules.”
I playfully rolled my eyes. “What are you going to do? Put me in a time out this late at night?”
I wrapped my pink fluffy blanket around his shoulder and handed him my Bucky bear before walking over and taking a seat at the table myself with Duckie in hand.
Bucky smirked at the plush bear in his hands and the pink blanket draped around his shoulders. “Thank you Doll. You always know how to make Daddy more comfy.”
I looked at him worried. “How are you feeling?” I asked but he just shook his head.
“I’m fine.”
I shook my head back at him. “Maybe you should have a time out for lying.” That made Bucky chuckle.
“I know your worried about them coming over. I don’t know the reason behind it, but I want you to know that regardless of what they think or what they say, just know that it means nothing. Sam and I love you to death and we could careless what they have to say about you. If they dare to say something, you let me know. I would happily take on Ironman for you.” Bucky smirked at my last statement.
“Isn’t it my job to protect you?” Bucky said softly, looking up at me with these sad eyes.
“It is, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t my job to do the same thing for you.” I leaned back in my chair. “While you protect me physically, I try to protect you emotionally…if that makes sense.”
Bucky nodded his head and smiled. “I don’t know what I would do without you Y/N.”
Bucky got up from his seat and went right over to me, planting a kiss right on my cheekbone. “I think it’s time we go back to sleep. Sam will kill us tomorrow if we sleep in.” He put Bucky bear and my blanket on his chair while he took his cup to the kitchen sink.
After that he handed me Bucky bear and wrapped the blanket around me. He picked me up still wrapped tightly in the blanket like a little burrito and made his way to his room.
“Sam not going to like that I’m sleeping next to you guys again. He wants me to sleep in my room like a big girl.” I said as my little side started to show some more. It was something new my daddies were trying. To keep me in my bed when we all went to sleep at night. After all my bed had railing on it to keep me from falling and theirs didn’t. But I preferred their beds because I loved to cuddle around them.
“Well I say your sleeping next to me and if Sam has a problem with it he can talk to me.” Bucky said all sassy like. It’s always funny to hear Bucky try to be sassy.
Once we were in Bucky and Sam’s room we snuggled together in bed. I rested my head on his chest, feeling it rise and sink with each breath he took.
It always put me right to sleep and it helped with Bucky’s anxiety. It was a way to help him focus on his breath. Bucky always waited to go to sleep until he knew Y/N was sound asleep, making sure his little girl was safe before he went to bed himself.
Would Tony forgive him for what he did? Would he bring it up infront of everyone? There were many things about his past as the Winter Soldier he never told Y/N. Even though all logic told him she wouldn’t think any differently. But he always worried that she would find out and he would lose her forever.
He started to feel himself go back through the anxiety rollercoaster again but then he stopped and looked at the little girl wrapped around him. He started to take some deep breaths before relaxing again. He would be okay. He just needed to make it through one day and they would be fine. Plus he would have his boyfriend and his little girl by his side to protect him.
And like she said, she would take on Ironman for her Daddy.
