The Return of an Old Enemy.
Adora stumbled back.
“How...now are you here ?”
“The Goddess of Death sent me here. It’s a long story and I don’t really know it. But....there is not much time Adora. The era of peace has been shattered. An enemy worst than Prime or Thanos has come. Or better say, has risen again.”
“What do you mean, who is this enemy. Why is he...worst Thant Prime or Thanos !”
“Horde Prime Wanted to control, Thanos Wanted his balance. This one, he wants to kill every living being on the universe, until there is nothing left. No one will remain if he gets what he wants. And he has the power to do it. Once again, the Infinity Stones have come to play for the fate of the universe. But he has no need for a gauntlet.”
“Mara...who are you talking about ?”
Mara closed her eyes.
“On Earth, at the year 2015, your friends Tony Stark and Bruce Banner wanted to create a peace program to protect their world. They made tests using the Mind Stone. But thanks to interference from the Stone and the witch Wanda Maximoff, The ai went Rouge, and it became sentinent.”
“Yes I know that story. Mara.....no. It can’t be.”
“....”
“He’s dead. He’s...Vision deleted him. There is no way !”
“Adora. I need to speak to your friends as well. Your wife, the Queen, and Tony Stark of course must hear of this. We are almost out of time. We must stop him at all costs.”
Adora gripped her fists.
It was supposed to be the end. Thanos was supposed to be the final enemy. Peace had supposition arrived.
She....felt something she only feels when Nala gets into an accident.
Fear.
Adora stormed into Glimmer’s throne room to find...
“Eh Glimmer. Are you saving your cut haired ?”
“Huh. Oh I promised that I would give Morgan some sparking hair.”
“Aw. That’s so cute !..wait a second. I need to focus, where are Catra and Tony ?”
“Catching up at the dining hall, why ?”
Adora moved back, and showed her Mara.
“Wait. Is that Mara...!”
“Yes.”
“But she isn’t...”
“She was supposed to be. And she’s not the only on that boat. We need to get them here and quick.”
“Adora, What is going on ?”
“It’s difficult to explain your majesty.” Mara said, bowing down to her. “Please. Get the rest so I can explain.”
Catra rushed in the throne room with Tony right behind her.
“Adora ! Are you all right !”
“I’m fine. Where’s Nala ?”
“I left her with Netossa and Spinerella. No reason for her to be here.”
“Wow. I don’t know a lot about the past of this place, but isn’t she dead ?” Tony said, pointing at Mara.
“Adora. What the hell ?”
“Listen. Mara showed up after I went to patrol. She has...concerning news,”
Everyone looked at her.
“Speak.” Glimmer ordered.
“As you wish. Please know I don’t know all details. But I’ll explain as best as I can.”
“First thing first. Are you dead or what ?” Tony asked.
“Technically. I’m dead. My heart is not beating. I am part of the other world. However, the Goddess of Death decided she had a use for me, and kept my soul with my body as her vassal. As long as I serve her, I may retain my body and my memories.”
“So...are you a ghost ?”
“Heh. Something like that.”
“What is this that you want to warn us ?” Catra asked.
“An enemy will soon come, and will try to tare the peace apart to complete his mission. For most of you, this is a new enemy, but for one of you. He isn’t,” she looked straight at Tony.
“Who...are you talking about ?” He asked.
“The Rouge AI That almost destroyed your planet. The one named Ultron, has returned. He is the one that is coming.”
Everyone froze, specially Tony.
Ultron was back. He had returned from the ashes and....is here to get them.
“Ultron...is back.”
“Yes. Mr. Stark I am so sorry....but you need to know, that the one responsable for your wife’s death, was Ultron.”
Tony gripped his fists. He shook in both anger and fear.
Glimmer presses her hand on his shoulder and looked at Mara. “How did Ultron come back. Vision delete him and destroyed every last body.”
“I don’t know. I really don’t know. Queen Hela....”
“Queen Hela. As in Thor’s older sister !” Catra said. “Wasn’t she dead as well, and evil !”
“You can’t kill the Goddess of Death. Not without the special tool. And Queen Hela isn’t evil. What happened between her and her brothers was.....I’m sorry. I can’t tell you.”
“Can’t or won’t ?” Glimmer demanded.
“Really can’t. I can’t physically defy an order from Queen Hela. Doing so will break the vassalege and make me loose my body.”
Glimmer sighted but nodded.
“As I was saying. Queen Hela has no idea how Ultron came back. But we do have a connection. The moment his presence was felt, was at the same time that a portal to the Quantum Realm was opened.”
“Quantum Realm. We....we have to friends stuck in there ! A princess named Entrapta and an man named Scott Lang.” Adora said.
“I know. And I can confirm to you that both of them are still alive. But that’s all I know.”
“What is Ultron after ?” Catra asked.
“To complete his mission.” Tony said before Mara could. “To get that....peace of his. Isn’t that right ?”
“Yes. But this is not the same Ultron you fought at Sokovia. He has grown stronger, and he has gained knowledge of the cosmos. He knows how to achieve his plans, and what he needs. He’ll go after two things. The first, the Infinity Stones.”
“Of course these dam stones had to come to play yet again.” Glimmer winned.
“And...what’s the second ?” Tony asked.
“the second....is you, Adora.”
“Wha...What !”,
“Why is he coming after Adora !” Catra yelled.
“No matter if he gets the Infinity Stones or not. Ultron will never win, unless he can get She-Ra out of the way. She-Ra is the only one that can truly stop him at his best. That’s you Adora. Ultron will try to eliminate you, at all costs.”
Adora shook while Catra growled.
“Adora. I hate bringing you back into this. You know I do. The stones. You must get them back.”
“Are you crazy, Adora almost died when she had those things !” Catra yelled.
“I know I know. But with the right training, she can safely harness their power, and use it to defeat Ultron. It’s our biggest hope.”
“But if we defeat him before he gets the stones. There is no need for Adora to do that, right ?”
“It’s possible. But we don’t even know where Ultron is.”
“Then we’ll find him. Well get the bastard before he gets a Stone.”
“I wish that would be the case young one. I really do.”
Mara sighted.
“This is all the time I have here. We’ll talk again soon. Just get ready.”
Mara then vanished out of knowhere.
They stood there for a while. Before Tony left without a word.
Adora looked at him worried and then noticed her wife remained standing still.
Glimmer sighted. “I’ll go check on him, you two talk things out.”
Glimmer left for the lab, were Tony probably went.
Adora sighted and grabbed Catra’s hands.
“Let’s walk,together dear, we need to...
Just then, Netossa hurried in.
“Hey Adora, Catra, Sorry to bother But.....well.”
She held her hands and showed them a brawling Nala. Waving her arms and legs wildly. Her face was covered in what looked like her milk.
“WAAAAH, WAAAAAH !”
“Yeah. I tried,to clean her, but well....she just gets dirtier and dirtier.”
Tony worked on one of the machines he used to work with Entrapta before she went missing. He was sp concentrated that he didn’t hear Glimmer come in.
“You should know that Entrapta will be mad if a project is finished without her.”
“Hm.”
“So....how are you ?”
“Ultron has returned. He...he was the one that killed Pepper.”
He sat down on the table. Glimmer sat at his side.
“I still have nightmares. About him. He haunts me.”
“His creation was not your fault. It was the Mind Stone and Maximoff.”
“I know that. But still, he came as close as Thanos did to winning."
"But he didn't. And he won't win this time either."
"Heh, such a confidence. I wish I had that."
"Oh don't get me wrong. I'm terrified beyond believe. But i have faith, in Adora, and in all of us."
"I just hope he doesn't even think of trying to get to Morgan."
"Oh ho ho. If he even thinks of touching a single hair on her head. Trust me, he is not gonna have a single scrap of metal left on him when I am done."
"Huh, I really want to see that."
"Well you will. Once we are done, there will be no trace of anything left."
"Yeah, that is something that we need to do. I better warn Rhodey though."
"And I must warn the rest of the Princesses. See you at dinner."
"Yep see you there."
Adora and Catra sat down on the bath tub, with Nala at the later's lap.
"So...are you gonna talk about it ?" Adora finally asked.
"What else is there to talk about ? A new enemy, or well not so new is coming, and we, you must fight it."
"I know. I thought things were over, but I never imagined that an evil robot would be attacking us."
"If only Entrapta were still here."
"God I imagine how she would be at this moment. I don't know if throwing her at Ultron would be a good or bad idea."
"Hm. Adora, remembre what happened with Prime, with the virus ?"
"Yeah..."
"And when you use the gauntlet to kill Thanos and his army."
"Yep."
"You almost died, in both occasions. The Infinity Stones, which are involved once again on this things."
"I know."
"And this Hela, who tried to kill Thor, wants you to harness their power."
"I know that. Listen Catra, I learned my lesson. I won't throw away my life for anything. I have to return to you and Nala. Someone has to take care of my dumb dumbs."
"Dumb dumb ? Dummy the one that only has one brain cell. Hopefully our child does not get that for you."
"Haha, can't promise that. Wait....was that an insult ?"
"Yes and no. You do have one brain cell, but I love you like that."
"Hmm. Don't worry though. I won't trust a word that Hela says. I will be extra careful."
"You better do so. If I lost you....I don't think I'll be able to handle it like the Shellhead and Sparkles have."
"I won¡t be going anywhere. I promise you."
She nuzzled her cheek.
While the wives laughed, Nala heard the water with curiosity. Believing that this was her bath tub, where the water is very shallow, she excitedly tried to go into it. Not having any way of knowing the hot tub is way deeper than her tub.
She leaned forward, and lost her balance in Catra’s lap. She fell face first into the water fully clothed.
Splash !
Both mothers suddenly turned to the hot tub, to see their daughter underwater, kicking her feet and desperately moving her hands. Catra imediatly scooped her out of the water.
Nala coughed for a bit, then started crying.
“WAAAAAAH.” She bailed. She had never been in so deep water before, and was scared about not being able to breath.
“Man, I really hope this is the bad luck thing and not you getting Adora's dumbness.” Catra said.
"Hey !"
Meanwhile at an unknown place.
A portal slowly opened. orange lights came out of it.
And then....
"GAAAAAH !"
"WOOOOHOOO !"
Two figures came out of the portal.
It was Scott and Entrapta.
"Ow, I don't want to do this again."
"Log date....wherever we are. We were stuck in the Quantum Realm for two minutes, and.....we are some place that we have no idea where it even is !"
Scott looked around.
"Hey....where are we ?"
"I don't know....want an orange slice ?"
"Hm....yeah sure."
