Chapter 3
It had been a couple days after Stan and Wendy broke up. Stan seemed to be happier while Wendy was usually in a miserable mood.
Wendy walked into the bathroom and spotted Henrietta at the sink, putting on purple lipstick. Henrietta glanced at Wendy through the mirror and then turned to look at her. "Wendy." She said placing her lipstick into her bag she carried. "Yes?" Wendy asked "How would you like to join me and the guys, and become goth?"
Wendy's eyebrows raised. She was surprised a goth wanted someone like her to join them. "You don't have to if you don't wanna. You've seemed lonely and depressed lately, and I was thinking maybe it'd be nice to have people who understand your pain around. I also like to have another girl around." Henrietta shrugged. She began walking out the bathroom, seeing Wendy wasn't gonna answer. "Wait! I'll.." She turned to Wendy. "I'll think about it. The offer." She smiled at the goth infront of her. Henrietta walked out and Wendy went into a stall.
---
Wendy had been thinking Henrietta's offer through since their conversation. She opened her locker to put her things away, when she saw a note. It read: "Meet us at the 'Village Inn' at 6." She raised an eyebrow and slid the paper into her pocket. She knew it was the goths. She then put her things into the locker and walked out of school.
It was 5:14 as Wendy looked through her clothes. The goths wore dark colored clothing, and she was trying to find some of her. She found a dark purple dress and black leggings, plus a black jacket. She put them on and looked into the mirror on her dresser. She need to put on makeup, but what should it look like? She could just try to remember how Henrietta's looked and try to copy it.
But she just decided to put black eyeliner on and dark purple lipstick that looked kinda like Henrietta's. She walked out her room and into the living room. Her parents weren't home so she'd probably had to write a note.
"I'm going somewhere probably won't be back until it's late - Wendy" She placed the note onto the living room table and headed out the front door. It was a chilling evening so she was glad she wore this jacket.
It was almost 6 when she arrived at Village Inn and entered the building. Her eyes searched around until she spotted the goths sitting at a table, drinking coffee and smoking. She walked up to the table and their eyes were on her. "What is she doing here?" Firkle spat. Huh, that was the first time she'd seen him with the others since middle school. Guess they meet up here alot. "Yeah, what're you doing here, conformist?" Pete flipped his hair.
"Calm down guys I invited her." Henrietta said, taking a drag from her cigarette. "What? Without asking us?" Micheal scoffed and Henrietta rolled her eyes. "Yes, cuz I knew you would bitch about it." Micheal mumbled a "whatever" as Henrietta scooted over to make Wendy some room to sit.
"I've been thinking about what you said." Wendy said, breaking the awkward silence. "And I think maybe I'd like to join you guy."
Everyone stopped drinking or smoking and looked at Wendy. "What? Did you asked her to join us?" Pete frowned at Henrietta, who nodded. "We don't except you Nazi conformist cheerleaders here, Testaburger." Firkle stared daggers into Wendy, who shifted awkwardly. "Guys, come on. Just give her a chance." Henrietta said taking a drink of her coffee. The other goths were silently looking at eachother, shrugging.
