Natasha x reader x Wanda
Being a couple of centuries younger than both your brothers had presented you with some challenges over the years.
To start with, both your brothers were more than overprotective. They had thrown a fit when they found out Lady Sif was training you in hand-to-hand and weaponry.
Even when your mother and father had told them it was necessary for your safety, the two still grumbled.
You had to stop the two on multiple occasions from murdering those who wished to court you. Even after you had explained that you had no interest in the men who tried to win your favour, but that you much rather prefered women, they still disapproved of any possible romances.
They did not mind who you chose to love, their gender or their status. Your brothers only cared to keep you and your heart safe.
And, of course, the two had many things to say when you decided to stay on Earth.
But you had put your foot down on this matter.
Both your mother and father had agreed with your decision of staying, and, eventually, Thor and Loki had to silence themselves.
And so you found yourself on Earth. Staying at Stark Tower with the rest of the Avengers.
Living in close quarters with Natasha Romanoff and Wanda Maximoff.
If either of your brothers were to ever find out of your attraction to the two women, you'd never hear the end of it. And neither would Natasha or Wanda.
You knew the two, well, Thor at least, respected the two women too much to ever harm them, but they wouldn't be happy about your desire to court them.
Or to hear about your failed attempts.
You wanted the two. You really did, but you had no experience in trying to court anyone.
So after months of trying and failing, you had only solidified yourself as one of the two's closest friends.
And there was only one other person who knew of your true feelings.
"Just tell them you love them! Three little words that have existed almost as long as you have." Tony said, flopping onto your couch.
"It's not easy, Tony." You shook your head as you prepared yourself a cup of tea.
"Says who? Everyone says it."
"How long did it take you to say it to Pepper again?" You asked, raising a brow.
"I don't know why I talk to you sometimes." Tony rolled his eyes.
"Because I bring you Asgardian toys to play with." You said, moving towards the couch.
"Well, there's that." Tony nodded.
"Is that all you needed to hear? Because I had an entire list, I was prepared to state." You said, causing Tony to roll his eyes.
"You're mean. God, you deserve Romanoff and Maximoff." Tony told you.
"Tony, don't be rude. Father knows they deserve better in life than what they've been given." You told him.
"Oh, that's right. You're in love with them. How did I ever forget?" Tony wondered. "It's not like all you do is talk about them or pine over them or try and court them all the time." He teased.
"I don't know why I'm friends with you." You deadpanned.
"Because I bring you the best Earth has to offer. Chocolate, terrible movies and my wonderful self." Tony smirked.
"Hm, that could be it."
"Alright, remind me again what you've tried," Tony asked you.
"I've tried trinkets,"
"Oh, you're back!" Wanda cheered, jumping from the couch to wrap her arms around your neck. "I missed you!"
"I missed you too." You chuckled, wrapping your free arm around the woman.
"How was your trip home? How are your brothers? Your parents? Did you give Loki his books back from me?" Wanda asked you in rapid-fire succession.
"I can always tell when you're home, Y/N. Wanda gets as loud as you." Natasha teased, now suddenly leaning on the doorframe.
"Now, don't pretend you haven't missed this." You smiled as the woman pushed herself off the frame and walked over to you.
"Never," Natasha said before you one of her rare hugs. "God knows we need more estragon around here."
"Well, that's true." You chuckled as the two of you pulled apart.
"How was your trip home? Did you miss us too much?" Natasha asked, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.
"Of course I did." You told the woman honestly. "I come bearing gifts." You said, shaking the bag in your hand.
"Oh, Y/N, you didn't have to get us anything," Wanda told you.
"Yes, I did. The two of you deserve to have all the treasures of the worlds." You told the two. "For my lady Natasha, one of the best swords I can offer." You said, pulling out a black sword decorated in red jewels.
"Holy shit, Y/N." Natasha gasped, taking the sword gently. "It's gorgeous."
"And perfectly balanced. Beautiful and deadly, just like you." You said.
"I don't know what to say, Y/N. Except, thank you."
"It was no trouble. And for my lady Wanda only the finest." You said, handing a case over to the woman.
"Y/N." Wanda gasped, looking down at the garnet necklace.
"Mother and Loki were kind enough to help me spell it. Whenever you wear this necklace, your mind will be able to silence all other thoughts but your own." You told her proudly.
"Y/N, this is too much," Wanda said, looking between you and the necklace with wide eyes.
"Nonsense. You have saved the world twice over, and you are my friend. You deserve the world." You told her honestly.
"Thank you, Y/N," Wanda said, throwing her arms around your neck. "Thank you so much."
"Okay, good attempt. Very romantic, but you did use the word friend." Tony cut you off.
"I was going for subtle." You told him.
"The word friend is not subtle." Tony sighed. "It only shoehorns you into that role."
"Well, I didn't know that."
"Alright, what else have you tried?"
"I took a page out of Thor's book next." You stated, causing Tony to sigh.
"Oh no."
"Who the fuck did Fury get his intel from?" Clint shouted over the coms.
"He's got a man on the inside," Natasha told him.
"Is his man a moron?" Wanda demanded.
Fury had assigned the seven of you to overrun a terrorist base in Austria.
His inside man had promised there were less than twenty people inside the base at all times.
What a liar.
The place was filled with agents, tanks, robots, and a number of mutated animals that seemed hellbent on destruction.
"Oh, fuck!" Wanda screamed.
Your head snapped over to where you had last seen the woman to see her on the ground, blood spurting from her shoulder.
"Wanda!" You exclaimed, seeing the soldiers now surrounding her.
Without a second thought, you summoned your power in your core before slamming your foot to the ground.
And for a second, there was silence. Until the ground began to crack in two from where you stood, racing towards Wanda.
The terrorists and their experiments fell into the chasm as your team were raised up on stone pillars.
When the enemy had disappeared into the Earth, you lowered your team back to safety as you raced towards Wanda.
"Are you alright?" You asked, pressing your hand to her wound.
"Just a little blood loss. Nothing worse than what Clint does on a daily mission." Wanda joked. "You couldn't have opened with that move?" She asked.
"Normally don't like to destroy nature." You said, looking at the chasm behind you.
"Well, thanks for the assist. At least you got the mudak that shot me." Wanda said.
"Of course, I did. They hurt you, Wand. I don't like people hurting those I care about."
"I thought you meant you gave her a head or something." Tony sighed in relief.
"A head? Why the fuck would I give her a head?" You exclaimed, staring at Tony as if he'd grown a second.
"I don't know! I'm running on two hours of sleep this week! Don't judge me!"
"Tony." You sighed, shaking your head.
"Okay, what else have you tried?"
"Your stupid pick up lines, and we both know how that went."
"Why don't my roses ever grow like yours?" Wanda asked as you and she tended the garden.
"Because she's quite literally the Goddess of Nature, Wanda." Natasha cut in from where she was resting in the shade. "She has an affinity for flowers, and you know, nature."
"So, Y/N is a cheater."
"I'm not a cheater, Wand. You simply joined a game you cannot win." You told the woman, helping the ivy crawl up the trellis.
"Whatever, can you help my Lillies please?" Wanda asked, causing you to move over to the garden bed.
"Hey, Wanda?" You asked as you worked your magic.
"Hm?"
"I like you a lily bit more each day." You said, causing Natasha to make a choking noise.
"What?"
"If you were a flower, I would pick you." You continued.
"Y/N, what?"
"Did you know I'm a flower? Because I need somebudy like you." You told her.
"There is only one person in this world who would know or use such stupid lines," Natasha said after catching her breath.
"Tony." Wanda rolled her eyes. "Alright, it's decided. You spend too much time with that idiot. From now on, you're spending more time with us to protect your brain from going to mush." Wanda told you.
"I thought they were pretty clever." You shrugged.
"They were!"
"Nat, no, not you too." Wanda groaned. "That's it. Triple girl time. We spend too much time with male idiots."
"I'll have Maximoff know that I am a certified genius." Tony shook his head. "Can't believe she keeps taking my lab buddy from me."
"I'm hardly your lab buddy, Tony. All you let me do is watch." You pointed out.
"You have an affinity for starting fires, Y/N." Tony deadpanned. "Look, so far, your attempts have been a little old-school."
"But everyone back home uses the same methods."
"You're more used to courting rituals. We don't do it like that here." Tony told you.
"So, you're saying I'm too subtle?" You wondered.
"Yeah, yeah, you are. Why not just come out and ask the two on a date? Or better yet, just admit you're hopelessly in love with them?"
"Because I've never done this before. I've never gotten this far in courting someone. I'm not even courting either Wanda or Natasha, but this is the closest I've ever gotten before." You admitted.
"Seriously? You should have had your pick of the litter back home."
"I did. I do. But I have two older brothers who still think of me as a child." You rolled your eyes.
"Thank God I was an only child," Tony muttered. "Look, you just need one gesture. Something cheesy. Something that gets their attention and speaks your feelings without you having to say it." He told you. "Because you suck at it."
"Thank you, Tony." You deadpanned. "And what would you suggest?" You asked.
"I don't know. Something you all like, something you're good at, I don't know. The last thing I got Pepper, I picked off a list she had." Tony told you. "You'll think of something. I know you will."
It had taken days to think of something. And when you had figured it out, you had spent every waking second perfecting your gift.
And now, it was finally ready.
Your gift was ready for Natasha and Wanda, and now you were waiting anxiously for the two to arrive in your rooms.
"Hey, I got your message. What's up?" Wanda asked, entering your room and jumping onto your couch. "Are we doing romcoms again?"
"We can, of course. I just want to show you and Natasha something first." You said, clutching the covered pot in your hand.
"What did you break?" Natasha asked as she entered the room.
"Nothing. Why would you think I broke something?" You asked, raising a brow.
"Sorry. Force of habit. I forgot you called me and not one of the boys." Natasha said, sitting gracefully on the end of the couch. "What's up?"
"I made something today." You told the two. "I made something, and I wanted you to be the first to see it." You shrugged.
"Is that why you've been holed up in here all day, and we haven't seen you at all?" Wanda questioned you.
"Yes. But I think it was worth it." You said, removing the sheet from the plant in your hands.
"I've never seen a rose like that," Wanda said, staring at the flower with a smile on her face.
"That's because it's not just a rose. It's got primrose and chrysanthemum and a bit of lilac in it." You told her. "It's the first of its kind, and I've decided to call it the lover's heart." You admitted.
"It's beautiful, Y/N," Natasha said.
"Truly stunning." Wanda agreed. "So, do we know who you made it for? Is he on our planet or back home?" Wanda asked, causing your heart to falter.
"There's no one in particular." You said, forcing a smile onto your face. "With valentine's day approached, I felt inspired." You lied.
"Well, I'm sure the florists of Earth are going to go crazy over this," Wanda said.
"Hm, they'll overprice the hell out of it." Natasha joked. "It's going to make a lot of people very happy."
"That's what I was hoping for." You said, placing the flower onto the coffee table. "Just what I wanted."
With the two of you, you thought as the conversation continued on as though your heart weren't breaking. I want the two of you.
Hours after Natasha and Wanda had retreated back to their own rooms, you were still awake in your own, guzzling down a bottle of mead.
"Oops. All gone." You sighed, throwing the empty bottle to the side before retrieving another.
"Are you planning to share that, little sister?" Thor asked, startling you and causing you to spill.
"Hel, Thor! Didn't mother teach you to knock?" You sighed, fruitlessly wiping the liquid off your pants.
"She did. But that would ruin the surprise." Loki smirked, standing at Thor's side. "Both yours and our own. You're not much of a drinker usually, sister."
"Not around you two." You snorted before taking another sip.
"Okay, I think that's enough for you," Loki said, moving towards you and taking the bottle out of your hands.
"Hey!"
"Didn't mother ever teach you to share?" Thor asked, taking the bottle from Loki and having his own drink.
"She tried, but it never quite stuck." You said as the two sat across from you.
"Y/N, what has happened?" Loki questioned you softly.
"Nothing. I'm great." You told your brother. "I'm fantastic, and life on Earth is going great."
"You realise that every time you lie, my nose itches," Loki told you.
"Want to try that again, little sister?" Thor asked.
"Okay. You want the truth? The two of you fucking suck." You said, rising to a stand.
"Excuse me?"
"Because of the two of you, I am incapable of courting another. I have no idea what to say or to do or how to even express my desires. And it is all because of you two, and you're stifling nature!" You exclaimed, glaring at the two.
"Courting?"
"Who dares try and court our little sister?"
"No one. So you can calm your overprotective instincts down because no one wants to court me. Or be courted by me." You sighed, hushing your bothers.
"Now, that's not true, sister."
"Loki's nose, Thor."
"There is nothing wrong with my nose, Y/N. He's telling the truth. Anyone would be lucky to be you." Loki promised you.
"Oh yeah? Is that why my attempts to court Natasha and Wanda have failed thus far?" You asked, raising a brow.
"Ladies Natasha and Wanda? You wish to court the two?" Thor questioned you.
"Yes. Do you have a problem with that?" You asked, raising a brow at him, daring him to say one wrong word.
"No. Of course not." Thor shook his head immediately.
"There is nothing wrong with your decision, Y/N," Loki promised you.
"Except the fact that I've chosen two women who happen to not be interested in me." You told the two.
"Are you sure about that?" Loki questioned you. "Have you asked the two of them that?"
"No."
"You haven't asked the two about their feelings for you?" Thor asked, raising a brow at you.
"Don't look at me like that! I thought I was supposed to woo them first!" You exclaimed.
"We really didn't teach you anything, did we, sister?" Thor sighed.
"Teach me? The two of you would never allow me to try and court anyone back home. And when I watched the two of you, all you had to do was smile, and women and men would fall into bed with you." You snapped.
"Oh, sister. We really have been a hindrance to you." Loki tsked. "We should have taught you about the ways of courting and wooing instead of keeping you away from them."
"Yes. You should have."
"Alright, well, that starts now," Loki promised.
"What?" Thor asked, staring at the younger brother in surprise. "Are you being serious?"
"Very, brother," Loki said, levelling the blonde with a single stare.
"Very well." Thor sighed.
"The first step is to get some sleep, little sister," Loki said, holding a hand out to you.
"Sleep?" You asked, cocking your head slightly as you took your brother's hand.
"Yes, sleep. Confessions of romantic intent should never be made while intoxicated." Loki said as you stood. "So, you are going to sleep this off, and when you are sober, we will explain everything you want to know." He promised, leading you towards your bedroom.
"Promise?" You asked, crawling into your bed.
"Promise."
"This is going to work. You can do this." You whispered to yourself. "Just say it aloud. Just like your brothers told you." You said, taking a deep breath before entering the lounge where JARVIS had told you that Natasha and Wanda were.
"Hey, Y/N." Wanda smiled, looking up from her book. "I didn't realise your brothers would be visiting this week."
"Yeah, it was a big surprise to me too." You told her. "Do the two of you have a minute I could steal?" You questioned the two.
"For you? Of course." Natasha said, patting the seat beside her.
"Everything okay, Y/N?" Wanda wondered, raising a brow at you.
"Yes. Everything's fine. You don't need to worry about anything being wrong." You said before forcing yourself to stop rambling. "I just have something to ask you."
"Okay. We're all ears." Natasha told you.
"I was wondering if, perhaps, the two of you would like to, or even consider, going on a date, with me?" You asked, wincing at your stuttering.
"A date? The two of us? And you?" Wanda repeated. "We'd love to!" She cheered.
"You just beat us to this one, Y/N," Natasha smirked. "We were going to ask you later tonight."
"Ask me? You wanted to ask me out?" You gasped.
"Y/N, we've been flirting with you for months." Natasha told you.
"We just didn't think you were interested." Wanda added.
"You haven't been flirting with me. I would have noticed if you had." You denied.
"The movies nights, the chocolates, all the picnics and the hand holding were all our attempts to show you we were interested." Wanda told you.
"Oh." You whispered. "So you've been trying to court me, while I've been trying to court the two of you, and none of us have noticed?" You questioned the two.
"Court us? You've been trying to court us?"
"Since when?"
"How about I explain all my attempts, and you yours, over dinner?" You suggested.
"Yeah, that sounds really good." Wanda nodded.
"Better than good. It sounds perfect." Natasha told you.
So perhaps you had been courting the wrong way, or maybe you were as oblivious as the ones you'd been trying to court, but in the end everything had worked out.
Tony no longer had to listen to your pining, your brothers had taken a step back and allowed you to find your way to love, and you had found love.
You had found Natasha and Wanda, and you had found them despite being clueless as to the way of courting.
