WHEN HE BUYS YOU FLOWERS

Matt wants to get you a bouquet of everything, since he doesn't know which flowers you would like. Having to choose alone actually makes him a little bit nervous because he wants everything to be perfect. "They deserve the best of everything."
Matt is definietly not a flowers expert. However, he remembers that one day you mentioned that one of your favorite color was pink. For your first date, he would buy some carnations as it symbolizes a blooming relationship between a couple, and protection.
He would also gives you flowers when he is late because of his work and his illegal "activities" to make up for it.
