Sirius and Marlene
Remus was the tallest marauder by far, then James. As much as Sirius tried to deny it, Peter was third by half an inch, making Sirius the shortest of the group. By their third year, even Regulus was taller than him, though he refused to acknowledge it.
Marlene was two inches taller than him, and although he tried to delude himself into thinking that wasn't true, she never let him forget it. She brought it up every chance she got, and sometimes she would randomly slip it into conversations that were completely unrelated.
One day, the marauders were in the common room, and Marlene comes down from her dorm dressed for a date. She is wearing eyeliner, her best clothes, and giant platform shoes. James wolf whistles jokingly when he sees her, causing Sirius to glance up. He takes one look at her shoes and says "Oh, fuck you, McKinnon", before flouncing dramatically up the stairs.
At dinner that night, Marlene finds out that Sirius had charmed his docs and now they were so tall it was difficult for him to walk. He was taller than Remus with them on, and was holding his shoulder for balance as he walked. He made it to the Gryffindor table, acting as if it was perfectly normal for him to be seven feet tall, and (with some struggle) sat down.
Once he finished his dinner, he had to untangle his legs from the table and when he tried to walk away he ended up tripping and landing on his face.
