Pandora

Pandora Lovegood is a muggleborn witch. Her childhood home is the same house Luna grew up in, near a muggle village. Growing up as an only child with two adoring parents, Pandora was always taught to search for magic in everyday, ordinary things. When she first started showing signs of magical ability, and her parents could not explain the mysterious occurrences, they told her the truth. That they had no idea what it was she could do, but it was special, and unlike anything they had ever seen before. They called it her magic long before her Hogwarts letter came, and accepted that explaination in an instant. They were determined to help her explore this new world that was now at her fingertips, encouraging her curiosity with daily visits to Diagon Alley, and by befriending the magical family nearby (the Weasleys). They even asked to relocate some of the gnomes from the Weasleys garden, to bring more magic to their home.

Pandora grew up in a house where asking questions and taking the answers for yourself was the solution to any problem you could face. When she wrote to her parents in her first year, devastated by the prejudice of some of her classmates, and how she could never catch up to people who had been using magic their whole lives, they wrote to the Ministry of Magic, demanding an audience. They fought tooth and nail for the Trace to be lifted off their house, as the pureblood students no doubt ignored it in their homes. They were rejected, but undeterred, and went to the Weasleys with an idea. Pandora was to be granted the freedom to practice magic in their home whenever she wished, so she could perfect her skill. In return they offered free books from the bookstore they owned together in town. The Weasleys agreed, refusing the books. Pandora would of course be welcomed in their house whenever she wished.

Pandora showed her parents every spell she cast, potion she brewed and item she charmed, and they never failed to be amazed, no matter how small. It was likely their undying excitement over magic that they themselves could not achieve, that made Pandora so determined to create more. She experimented with the aim of creating something that would make her peers look at her with the same admiration as her parents.

Unrelated, but just as important, Pandora's maiden name is Lovegood, which Xenophilius Malfoy took at her request. Her middle name is Clementine, which sparked the nickname Clemmie that only her family and Regulus were allowed to use.
