Stiles is a teenager with ADHD. He does not sleep well and thus becomes sleep-deprived. And when he gets sleep-deprived, He gets extra cuddly. Most of the time it's Scott who falls victim to stiles stilinski's famous I-won't-let-you-go-until-im-awake hug. Well, that was before Derek hale came into their life. And they began dating. He had been into that hug more times than he would like to admit. And even his werewolf strength could not for the life of him get out of that hug. He would know.....
He tried.....
Several times...
All unsuccessful.
But to sum it up here are the best times it happened.
1.
It was the exams before the holidays. aka nobody slept thanks to the stress and the learning material they have to see even if nobody is going to use most of it ever in their lives because let's be honest nobody needs to know how to prove that a triangle is a triangle. Add a scoop of rogue werewolf and cold on that stress level and you have the mixture that is stiles stilinski's daily level of stress.
He was tired and it was a pack meeting. Did he mention that he was tired? Yes well, he will again. He's tired af. Like I'm standing on my feet only thanks to a very big cup of coffee or more like 7 of those mixed with more energy drinks than could ever be healthy. Derek with his amazing unnatural warm arms is there just sitting. And he looks so warm and comfortable. And -and
There is the error in his brain. He wants and will end up curled up on Derek's lap. Jackson is saying something and standing in his way. So stiles does the only thing that his sleep-deprived brain can think of. He slaps Jackson. Jackson is not expecting this. stumbles backward out of his way. And with a few steps, he is in front of Derek.
Apparently, Derek wasn't doing nothing, after all, the man was reading and that can't be happening right now not if he wants to curl up on his lap. Normally he doesn't have a problem with it he even thinks Derek's cute when he reads but that book was his only obstacle and he wanted those warm arms around him.
He glares at the book. And once again his brain comes up with only one solution.
He picks up the book and throws it at Jackson who is still not recovered from the shock of being slapped by him. So the book thrown at him. Hits him right in the face.
He sits on Derek's lap with an oof and curls up against the man's chest. Derek who knows what this means. And has seen his boyfriend in this state more than once. Knows what to do. He just takes the blanket next to him and wraps it around his mate.
'Are you tired sweetheart.' he mumbles quietly in stiles ear. Said boy just grunts something that sounds like a yes out and makes himself more comfortable.
'Go to sleep baby you're tired.'
And that's exactly what stiles does.
2.
It was a Wednesday when the next stiles needs sleep moment happened. This time it was his pup Liam that was the victim.
Stiles was laying down on the couch in Derek's house. The pack was spread over 3 couches and 2 love seats. Stiles was laying on his own. Derek was at the moment with Deaton to ask about some fairies that had been bothering them. Liam was the only one not there yet.
Speak of the devil and he will come forth. Liam opened the front door. Quietly. He had learned his lesson to not be loud when entering the hale/stilinski house. Let's just say that he had an abnormal long time for a werewolf broken leg.
Liam walked into the room. He himself was having a bad day. So all he could think of was to cuddle close to the first the best pack member. This happened to be one Stiles stilinski. One tired Stiles stilinski. Not that Liam noticed.
Liam all but throws himself in Stiles's lap.
'Hey, pup.' Stiles sleepy mumble came out. 'You tired sti?'' yeah.'' me too.'' go to sleep pup.' Liam cuddles closer to Stiles and falls asleep.
Wrong choice. Because stiles also falls asleep. And he has his dead-like grip on Liam.
When Liam came to consciousness 6 hours later it was thanks to an empty stomach. He's grimacing because damn that's not pleasant. The pup tries to roll out of the couch, Only to be held still by something that has a grip of stone. Stiles, he realizes at the same moment that he realizes his problem.
He isn't going to stand up till Stiles wakes up and he knows it. He had seen Derek carry around a sleeping Stiles. A cute sight. But if Derek can't get stiles to let go he sure as hell can't. Stiles may be a human but that boy is stronger than the Dwayne the fucking rock Johnson when he is sleepy. Liam just accepts his fate and falls back asleep.
And that's how Derek finds them cuddles closer together and content smiles on their faces.
