~Stop Ignoring The Question~
In anger, Erik slammed his own bedroom door shut, but neither Ven, nor M'Baku had heard it while waves of pleasure continued to shock through their bodies as they both came together.
~~~
Slowly M'Baku flipped them over and laid her down on her back gently, covering her body with her smooth silk sheets while he got up.
Ven instantly pushed herself up on her elbows, them pressing into her soft mattress as the sheets slid down her body a bit, revealing the top of her round breasts. She didn't care though and watched him with puppy eyes, battering her lashes. It made him smile a bit, but then he shook his head.
He really had to go and she knew it too.
"Sorry, love, but you know I have to go." A corner of his mouth lifted a bit when she pouted her lips, but eventually she gave in, nodding while spreading her arms. "Don't worry, you'll see me appear some other time again." He embraced her tightly and kissed her bare shoulder when she buried her face in the crook of his neck.
"I know." She mumbled before letting go.
She always hated to say goodbye to someone and definitely if they couldn't really promise to come back.
After M'Baku let go too and got dressed, she watched him leave her room and with that the Golden City too. He retreated to his mountains again. He had to. He didn't want to have the new king on his back already and he had to return to his people anyway.
The following days were pretty quiet between Erik and his advisor, he even on purposely ignored her when she tried to get personal and he tried to do everything that he could do without her help, on his own. If she didn't want him when he tried to talk to her, he was going to make her miss talking to him.... make her realize she would actually miss his attention if he didn't pay any to her anymore.
The first few days didn't have that much effect on her, but slowly she began to move closer to him. Instead of letting him find his own way through the palace like she used to do, she guided him everywhere. She also wanted to talk to him, no matter if it was personal or business, just to hear his deep voice echo into her ears.
And at the end of the week.... he got what he wanted.
Ven walked into his huge bedroom with the intention of bringing him some clean clothes in the evening, but stopped when she spotted him standing on his balcony.... his bare muscles outlined by the bright moonlight while he blew out the grey smoke from his blunt. She just couldn't keep denying he was extremely attractive. Erik didn't look at her and acted as if he hadn't seen her, but he knew she was there, standing with his folded clothes in her hand while staring at him with admiration. He smirked a little as he stared into the dark horizon and then held out his hand to her without looking.
She didn't take it at first though, but after a moment of silence he turned around and their eyes met.
They pulled her to him, his dark chocolate eyes giving her comfort, and she laid her hand in his.
"There we go." He gave her a small smile and pulled her closer into his side before trying to hand her his glass full of Hennessy. "Here, take a sip. It will do you some good, ma."
"No, it won't." She stared at the liquor and then at his strong hand cupping her hip bone, the blunt still resting between his middle and pointing finger. "I can't drink while I'm working."
"You're always working and I'm your king so right now my order is simple, you're free for tonight." He lifted his chin a bit, his dark eyes burning with determination and she glanced up at the sky to try and ignore the glare.
She knew he was her king and he could decide so, but it was a ridiculous order in her eyes.
She still had so much to do.
"But-...." She twisted one of the many golden rings around her fingers nervously. "I can't-...."
She wanted to make Erik change his mind so she could keep working, but kept stumbling over her words as she stared at his flexing muscles and he was having none of it anyway.
He genuinely wanted her to relax.
"Never mind, you know what? You're free for the whole ass weekend." He interrupted her stutters and sat her down on the huge lounge set on his balcony.
Before she could struggle and get up, he already poured her a drink and it finally occurred to her he was being serious. Slowly beginning to accept his order, she slumbered onto the couch and took the glass he had poured full with Hennessy for her when he sat down next to her.
"So.... whatcha see in him girl? For real."
Her golden eyes grew wide while he casually took another inhale of his blunt and leaned back against the backrest, his other arm resting on top of it.
"What do you mean, my king?" Her plump lips were pressed against her glass while she took a small sip, playing it cool. He couldn't have heard her fucking M'Baku right? He was downstairs the whole night.
"Why him and not me?" He lifted an eyebrow and cocked his head to the side as she began to panic a little.
"M'Baku?" Venery nibbled on her bottom lip.
"Yeah."
"What about him?" She shrugged, trying to act like his question hadn't caught her off guard and she wasn't embarrassed at all.
"Stop ignoring my question, ma."
"I'm not ignoring your question, I'm trying to find a proper way to answer it that isn't inappropriate. You're still my king after all." Ven honestly confirmed. She just didn't want to make it awkward between them.
"But this shit is personal so stop talking so seriously. Simply tell me what's going on in that pretty head of yours so I know what's up between you and him. See it as a best friend convo."
"Nothing. He's just a friend I sometimes make love with." She shrugged and took another sip to calm down and forget what she had said.
"Make love with? Girl, it sounded like he was straight up balls deep." He smirked a bit and blew out some grey smoke again. "That pretty voice was cracking and echoing through the palace halls."
"I.... uh.... yeah, perhaps." She stuttered and stared into the liquor that she twirled around in her pale hand. "I'm sorry, I don't really talk to people in this type of manner. And definitely not towards my king."
"You said it a hundred times already. It's clear that I'm ya king, but I'm also a friend, ma. I care about you and your feelings." Erik's smirk turned into a genuine smile, his deep dimples and his golden fangs visible to her. "It's hard to give into me after what I did, I know, but you can't deny the fact you trust me and that you missed talking to me. I can tell that much."
She just nodded and stared into his now softened eyes.
"Come here." He put out his blunt and threw it away before putting his glass down on the side table and spreading his arms. Venery carefully and slowly moved her way to his side of the couch and felt a warm feeling burn up when his arms wrapped around her waist, her back pressing against his bare chest. "You're comfortable like this?"
"Yeah, I think so...."
"Good, now.... you still owe me the story about your past, princess." He whispered to her and she swallowed, having to get used to being this close to him. She could literally feel his hot breath tickle her neck.
She liked it though....
"Oh yeah, you're right." She whispered back and took in a deep breath to relax her tensed muscles. "Where do you want me to begin?"
"How did you end up here because you clearly aren't Wakandan."
"The people helping me recover in the hospital after my incident discovered I was filled with unhealthy toxic substances unknown to them and so I was transported to Wakanda to be saved and examined."
"Incident?" The tone in his voice gave away he was a bit concerned and she played with the ends of her shirt.
"A very heavy Chemical Mutagens explosion at my work. The amount of toxic gas that came free altered the DNA within my cells so bad that this happened." She sighed and closed her eyes. "I hated it honestly, still do sometimes."
"But you look beautiful so why hate it?" He spoke closer to her ear and she rested her head on his shoulder, enjoying his voice.
"Because I never belonged anywhere because of it." He noticed she was hugging herself and brought his arms up a bit to tightly wrap his around hers, rubbing her wrists. "I never belonged anywhere before that either, but this only made it worse for me-.... people began to.... um-....." She let out shaky breaths, her bottled up trauma she never talked about coming back up now she finally spoke up about it. She didn't want to look vulnerable in front of him though, but she couldn't help it. He somehow made her feel safe enough to open up.
"Aye.... girl, it's okay to cry, you know?" He reassured her and took her glass from her to put it down.
"Yeah, but I prefer not to." Her light voice had a few cracks in it and she rubbed her eyes before staring at the moon. However, she couldn't hold the burning tears back for long and weakly turned around, wrapping her arms around his neck while she sobbed into his shoulder.
Everything that had ever happened to her came out at once. Her incident.... her past.... her mental scars.... and her grief. And she just laid there in her king's arms, crying. She could honestly laugh at herself at how naive she was to think he would be trustworthy and would care about her for real, but he had proven himself enough that he wasn't such a bad guy. To Wakanda and to her. He was a tough man, scarred and hurt, and yes he had killed T'Challa in battle, but that was the risk they both had taken in the beginning of the challenge. Surrender or die.... and T'Challa just couldn't bring himself to surrender so Erik only did what had to be done.
"Let's drop the conversation and relax, aight?" He spoke after a few minutes and rubbed her lower back, holding her close. The woman silently nodded as an answer and still sniffed a bit while she removed her head from his shoulder. He dried her tears with his thumbs, stroking them away, and she returned to the way they were sitting together before.
"Can I have my drink?" She questioned softly without looking at him and he gently handed it to her.
"Don't drink too much though-.... I don't want you to start using it to deal with the bad emotions, ma."
"I won't, I promise."
"Good." Erik wrapped his arms around her again and stared over his lit up city, silence engulfing them both.
....
"Why him and not you, right?" Ven decided to finally bring back the question to answer it properly after 20 minutes of listening to each other's heartbeat. "Um, well, I think I do want you, but he's just-...."
"Familiar?" He interrupted her when she couldn't find the right word.
"Mhuh, and I hadn't seen him in a long time so of course the two of us decided that that was the best way to catch up some talking." She chuckled nervously and he let out a short laugh too, her feeling his chest vibrate as he did so. "With you it's different though. I think I genuinely begin to like you? But you're not really the good guy in everyone's eyes and.... it would just feel weird since I serve you."
"But what if we just forget about those reputations, opinions, any fucking barrier really.... what do you want from me?" He deepened his voice and goosebumps slowly started to appear on her bare arms.
"What I want from you?"
"Yeah." He whispered and a small smirk appeared on his face when she slowly moved her head to face his. "I mean- you don't have to say anything, you could just show me instead, princess." Erik stared at her plump white golden lips and licked his in the hope she secretly got the message.
Somehow, she did get the hint unbeknownst to herself and before really thinking about it she had turned around completely. His hands shifted to hold her hips in the meantime that she turned to her side and he stared back up into her eyes. He sought permission those twinkling golden eyes, the eyes he was attracted to, trying to figure out if she truly wanted the same or if she just was overwhelmed by him and his arm curled around her waist, pushing her chest against his as it forced her to straddle him and lean forward. She didn't struggle, but let him lead which was a good sign, a sign she wanted it but was just nervous, and her lips were now inches away from his. Ven then slowly wrapped her arms around his neck, taking in his scent.... and that's when their lips finally collided.
The woman first was a bit hesitant and Erik gave her time to grow more confident in the kiss. His touches weren't rough either because of that, but once she deepened the kiss with her tongue, his hands grabbed her hips more firmly and he kissed her more deeply back. It made her caress his jaw with both her hands to keep herself steady and he let his head fall back to give her a better angle.
God he tasted, felt and smelled amazing to her and she just couldn't get enough, but sadly, it had to come to an end.
After a few more seconds, they unfortunately had to pull away to catch their breath and both panting, they looked at each other. Both with red cheeks because of the lack of air, chest going up and down heavily and their pupils dilated as they rested their foreheads against each other. "Does this mean~...."
"It means whatever you want it to mean, princess."
