Took the "Movie Soundtrack" songs from my 2021 Spotify Wrapped and hit play. Four songs, four fandoms, wrote for as long as the song played, resulting in four mini drabbles featuring some of my favorite characters.

How do you punch a shadow?
The question didn’t really have an answer. Pat Dugan walked down the street a little behind the rest of the JSA. Courtney and her friends were giddy-adrenaline mixed with fear of the unknown. Even Pat didn’t know much about The Shade. His memories were of black clouds, of Dr. McNider screaming at him as he was dragged backwards across the floor. And then….nothing, as the black clouds swallowed the hero whole.
If he’d been half the man Starman was….he would’ve turned the team around that second.
But that was why Pat was the sidekick…not the hero.
