A wild mating
Bucky has been staring at the biting mark on Steve’s neck since he woke up. He had tried to wake him up without any success. Steve wasn’t usually a heavy sleeper. He’d wake up every time one of them did. The bond may have taken him out cold. Unlike Bucky who still felt energetic. He felt like he could take over the world and nothing could really happen to him.
The image of Steve presenting for him flashed in his mind. He wasn’t sure he’d ever be able to forget that. He’d heard about it on the internet of course. Most of his research ended on any kinky pornsite because “real Alphas”…real alphas did not simply go on their knees, they didn’t really take time to pleasure their Omega and would expect theirs to always be ready. And if they weren’t…well that was their fault and not the Alphas. Alphas were supposed to be dominant. Or whatever other bullshit Bucky had heard when he was in the army.
It wasn’t a taboo. Kind of. Tony and Bucky had talked about it before. But some Omegas didn’t like this idea and weren’t too kind on “progressive” Omegas. Bucky had stopped longing for a community and was glad to have Tony by his side.
Bucky sighed, clenching his hand to stop himself from touching Steve mark. Seeing his Alpha so easily giving himself to Bucky and actually enjoying it had been a religious experience. One he wished he’d share with their third mate.
To not have a repeat of what happened last time with Rumlow, they have all decided to take turns. Bucky and Steve would bond and then Tony and Steve. In whatever order. Tony had been the one offering this solution. He wanted to be dined and wined beforehand while Bucky hadn’t cared about the how.
Annoyed at being alone, Bucky resisted the urge to shake Steve from his slumber and only stopped himself when he felt the bond come to life. He gasped softly as Steve’s content traveled to him.
Last night he hadn’t had the time to really take in what the bond really was. Too lost in their moment and too shocked.
Now he understood why he almost fainted after biting Steve. The flux of his feelings mixed with Steve’s had been too much. Knowing that he brought that much happiness and peace to his partner had been unexpected. He had known for a long time that Steve loved him and appreciate him regardless of…everything from his past. But there was a step between knowing and knowing.
It still didn’t make any sense to Bucky. He didn’t know how they went from this stupid Omega service to finding their true mate but he didn’t question it.
Steve had understood perfectly why Bucky didn’t want a mark on his neck. At least not for now. There was still a part of him who wanted to dominate and prove that he was independent, that he could do whatever he wanted regardless of the brand of an Alpha on him. Maybe one day he’d like to wear Steve and Tony’s bite.
Bucky stumbled out of the room on shaky legs. There was a dichotomy between his head and the rest of his body. His mind seemed brand new contrary to his body. He could hav e slept at least a few more hours. A day max. And he wasn’t even sure it’d been effective.
He made his way to the kitchen almost missing the other presence in the room. Tony was sipping his coffee slowly. It should have been the first clue that something was wrong. Tony had never been the type of person to sip on his coffee in the kitchen. He was the type to run with his coffee mug as soon as the brew had stopped filling his mug.
“Good morning,” Tony greeted him, somber.
Bucky opened his mouth to ask if everything was okay but ended up apologizing instead. “I’m sorry.” He blurted. By the surprised look on Tony’s face he, himself, didn’t expect that. “We are sorry. I know that you’ve said that either way you didn’t care. If Steve and I were bonded before you and him were but we – Steve and I – had prepared an entire evening where he’d dine and wine you until the bite.”
Bucky’s breath grew shorter as the panic settled in. He tried to guess what Tony was feeling but neither his face nor his body gave anything away.
“I can show you the receipts for all the prep he did, the calls he passed for your special night and even the moodboard he created…”
Bucky stopped rambling and took a deep breath instead. Tony was watching his carefully over the rim of his mug. Bucky had rarely felt so keyed up under his gaze.
“Say something,” Bucky pleaded.
Tony sighed and looked away. “What if it doesn’t take with me?”
Bucky’s heart dropped. He had forgotten all of his fears and almost ran by Tony’s side and embraced him. He kissed the crown of his head and purred.
“Oh baby…You don’t have to worry about that.”
Tony huffed annoyed. “There was no problem with you when we were with Rumlow. It’s me who couldn’t take the bite and had to fight him.”
“This is not a competition love, you know that. If he’d started with me, we’d both be with him. I was weak. Always wanting to prove myself and be like you.” Tony tried to push him away, but Bucky tightened his embrace. He closed his eyes and let his words flow. All of the things he wished he’d admitted to Tony. “I was so proud of you. It took you fighting and almost killing him for me to break out of his spell. I couldn’t have done it, baby. Even if I loved you so much, I couldn’t have fought back like that against him.”
Bucky sniffed, tears running down his cheeks. He swayed gently from side to side, to sooth the pain from the truth. He was a coward. He was weak.
Bucky was suddenly pushed away.
Tony stared at him, looking pissed off. “What the fuck. What was this horse shit that came out of your mouth just right now. “I…I thought…” Tony shook his head. His eyes gleamed something akin to incredibility. “All of this time I was jealous of you and you…you were jealous of me.”
Tony watched Bucky as if he’d never seen him before.
“What?”
“Why keep it secret? I never knew you felt that way. I would have tried to help-…”
“It’s not your role to help me, love.” Bucky looked away. “It was my fault if you were in this relationship with Rumlow. It’s me who made you meet. You have always been there to help me. Even when Brock was trying to break us, you always thought about me first. You gave me everything and all you had in return is a broken Omega and trauma on top of your usual trauma.”
Tony shook his head, gently.
“Bucky, baby…I’m a man who can have everything in a blink. And yet, as cliché as it sounds, it took meeting you to fill a huge hole in my life. It’s not your fault that Rumlow abused you and then later abused me. It’s not your fault that he played with our heads and made us feel as if we were never good enough. He had a goal in mind and didn’t care who he could use.”
Bucky opened his mouth to speak when JARVIS talked.
“Sorry to interrupt you, but Mister Barnes is expected at Stark industries for the presentation of the new line of prosthetic.”
Bucky tried to protest, but Tony pushed him out of the kitchen.
“Promise will talk about it,” Tony said in a hurry with a brief kiss on his lips.
Bucky stopped trying to talk and walked quickly out of the floor.
He didn’t see Tony’s smile disappear. Nor did he ever notice the knife that Tony hid behind his back.
Steve stumbled out of the room blinking blearily at Tony. His neck was sore. If he concentrated a bit he could feel Bucky’s feelings. He seemed overall happy and stressed. Probably because he was late.
To his defense, he wasn’t really awake. That’s why he never felt the other presence in the room. Up until the press of a cold and sharp edge appeared quite suddenly against his throat. Steve’s brain changed gears. He didn’t have to guess who it was.
“Tony-“
A growl behind him shut him up. The knife caressed his skin until it reached the bondmark. Goosebumps rose on his skin, as his heart picked up a familiar pace. Quite not the asthma attack but near. He was 75% sure Tony wouldn’t outright kill him.
He felt Tony’s breath on the bondmark and closed his eyes, almost submitting to his Omega. He was pushed against the wall and he dipped, avoiding the knife which embedded itself where his neck had been.
Tony’s eyes were black. He had never seen such a ferocious expression on his lover’s face.
“Why not me? What did Bucky do that I couldn’t?” Tony snarled. “Or are you those kinds of Alphas…the one who love to submit like bitches but can’t bite!”
Steve eyebrows rose a few notched. He pushed away the hurt of the answer. He knew Tony would hate himself for saying these words and he knew why he did so.
“Why do you want my bite so much if I’m a bitch?” Steve said not rising to the bait.
Tony winced at the use of his own words. The battle between the feral Omega and Tony played just in front of his eyes. Steve watched as Tony finally lost it.
Game on.
His omega turned around wordlessly and stomped toward the elevator.
Steve ran after him and jumped on his back. Tony barely tipped forward under his weight. Steve didn’t let it go to his ego. Not now at least.
Tony stopped for a second before raging against him. He felt hits on his legs, bones wherever Tony could reach.
Steve pretended to bite his neck, on the other side of the bonding gland. It automatically sent Tony in a frenzy. He started walking fast backward. It gave the perfect opportunity for Steve sink his teeth quickly in his bonding gland.
Tony stopped before they reached the wall and huffed.
Steve didn’t let go his grip. Something deep inside him was telling him that it was only the beginning.
Tony turned around and walked toward the knife in the wall. He dislodged it after a one try and waved it near Steve’s eyes menacingly.
Steve bit harder. His teeth sunk deeper than the glands and right into the muscle. Blood and mating fluid bursting into his mouth.
Tony howled, letting the knife drop on the floor. His scent turned from feral to content. Steve let him walk them toward the nest and drop them both on it.
It took Steve what it felt like a few hours before he released his pressure on Tony’s neck. He was sure the bond had taken because he could feel Tony’s feeling swirling in his body. His feelings were almost as overwhelming as Bucky’s.
As he was buoyed in their warmth, Steve closed his eyes and drifted.
Steve came by aware that his two mates weren’t by his side. For the second time of the day, he stumbled out of their nest and came across a strange scene.
Tony was fully clothed and his neck fully exposed. The bonding mark was purple but not bleeding anymore. Steve knew that intellectually that Tony should have at least cover it to let it heal nicely but the caveman part of him was proud and horny. He discarded his erection because he needed food in his stomach otherwise he’d die. He wanted the whole world to see their marks and who they belonged to.
Tony was talking happily to Bucky, his back straight and his head high enough for everyone to see the mark.
“Shouldn’t you all be in the nest with me?” Steve said with a raspy voice.
Tony turned around quickly. His surprise, turned into shame. He dropped his head and fiddle with his hands.
“Alpha, I’m sorry for what I said to you. There is nothing wrong with either of you. For you to want to mark our Alpha and for you Alpha to want to submit.”
“I forgive you, Omega.”
“I forgive you, little shit,” Bucky said with a grin.
Steve shook his head, amused.
Tony was smiling but there was still a bit of shyness in his actions. Steve decided to push a bit of his happiness in the bond. Tony and Bucky gasped and looked at him in wonder.
“Alpha…” Tony sighed softly.
Steve walked to him winking at Bucky, who stuck out his tongue.
Tony’s eyes grew wider each step he took until he was almost pressed against him. He raised his hand, the tip of his fingers brushing lightly the nape of his neck. He trailed around the mark never really touching it.
Tony’s eyes fluttered shut and it melt against his hand. Steve went on his tiptoe nuzzled against the other side of his neck. He pressed a few kisses, each eliciting a purr from Tony and a groan from Bucky. Steve kissed Tony lips biting slightly his bottom lips before releasing him.
“Okay…” Tony licked his lips and shook his head trying to come back from his daze. “O-kay. That was…” He swallowed loudly. “That was okay. I…I gotta…go but we’ll continue this conversation when I come back?”
Steve bit back his smile and nodded.
Tony walked backward until he tripped on his own feet. He recovered swiftly and chuckled embarrassed. He was out of the room in a flash.
“So…”
“Not a word, Buck.” Steve replied, his cheeks ablaze.
“J’ showed me what you’ll did and God Stevie…”
“Bucky,” Steve warned. His blush was slowly but surely deepening.
“I mean, I didn’t kno-“
Steve jumped on Bucky.
