Summary
I read a story called "Like Broken Glass" by 100GoldenUrns and I have always loved the fics where Tony and most of The Avengers are a bit mean to Peter and treat him like an untrustworthy juvenile delinquent for a good hurtful while. And I like the idea of Peter being orphaned and homeless and actually going to Fury for help.. soooo..

Chapter 10

..

..

Wanda stared at the door Peter had ran out of. "He was terrified." She whispered.

"Wanda?" Bruce inquired "What?... What do you mean?"

"When he yelled at Rogers for that stunt he just pulled that could have gotten someone over here hurt or killed.." Wanda glared at Steve as she emphasized the eight words of that sentence and Steve shrunk in on himself to show he was indeed remorseful about that bit. "He was angry at Rogers and scared for us. But then when it dawned on him he had not only just yelled at Rogers but also picked up something that wasn't his, he was terrified that .."

"That.. What?" Bruce asked gently seeing Wanda's suddenly conflicted expression.

"He.... He's been abused before... Severely.. in many different ways... He had some flashbacks just now.. I could see everything he was remembering. He was terrified and ran because he thought some sort of abuse was about to follow for him either yelling at Steve or picking up Mjönir or both." Wanda replied with teary eyes as she stood tall and stared Steve and the others who had been so against Peter even being there down.

"You.." Wanda spat the word at Steve "say the boy almost costed people their lives with the ferry incident then almost accidentally hurt or killed one of us with that stupid shield of yours. And you..." She spat at Tony "Didn't even care about how close that Repulser Blast came to us, she gestured to the scorch mark on the wall near the bleachers near where they were sitting as a group.

"If he hadn't dodged.." Steve and Tony said in unison in to was of accusation..

"Oh so now it's his fault for dodging?!" Kate was now pressing into their space.

"If he hadn't dodged either attack. He could have been hurt. He could have even died." Yelena stated coldly. "And you wanted him to just stand there and let it happen?"

"You were both using Lethal Force during what was supposed to be training." Bruce said with anger and disappointment lacing his severely strained voice as he fought the green creeping up his arms, neck and face. "And by doing so you could have hurt or killed any of us just now."

"You say the boy almost costed the lives of people on that ferry but will say anything or blame anyone else to keep from dealing with the consequences of your own actions that almost costed our lives in this very room only seconds ago. Neither of you take any accountability for your actions and then have the nerve to say what you did to a child and try to do what you tried to do to a CHILD. Forget that you could have killed us. You could have killed HIM. He is just a kid!" Wanda shouted "Do you not see what hypocrites you are?! Especially after how you've treated him and after every horrible cruel thing you said to that poor child! Fury was right! Neither of you should be the leaders of anything!"

Wanda stormed out following the same path Peter had taken hoping to find him and help him.

Yelena and Kate had stern expressions and glared at the others who had fought Peter but said nothing further as they followed Wanda out.

Bruce looked very disappointed in the others as he took also left to go find Peter.

Clint, Steve and Tony stood there heads hanging as they contemplating the words that had been hurled at them.

Thor retrieved Mjönir from where Peter had dropped it. "I had only wanted to test the boy's strength, character and potential abilities to lead. But the three of you acted in ways that could have proven fatal to either him or anyone who might have been sitting in those bleachers. You once wondered why you couldn't lift Mjönir. But your actions earlier speak for themselves. Don't they? Clint.. Tony... You thought the boy would either be a danger too or a bad influence on your children... But..." Thor gestured to where an arrow was impaled in a wall scarily close to where the other group of Avengers had been sitting, to where specifically Kate had been sitting. "Imagine if your families had been in here watching us train, like they so often do." Thor gestured to the arrow, the scorch mark, the shield that had come within inches of potentially slicing someone's head off. "Then ask yourself... Who the bigger danger is and who the worse influence is. Then look in a mirror."

Thor then took his leave and followed after the others in hopes to find and apologize to Peter.
