Chapter 7
Peter hugged his father for what felt like forever but he didn’t care if all the time in the world had gone by before finally pulling away sniffling quietly.
”How are you back?” The kid asked in a small voice.
”To be honest underoos, I have no idea. But that’s futures me’s problem. First I say we get us some cheeseburgers and head home for tomorrows famous Stark Christmas hmm?”
Peter gave the older a sad smile, “It won’t be the same without May, and you know it. And I’m not going home with you for Christmas.”
Tony looked at his son and hesitated before speaking, “We both know this is what May would’ve wanted. I still don’t know the details about everything but you can fill me in when you’re ready. I have no idea what you mean about not coming back with me for Christmas but that’s not up for bait kid.”
Peter sighed, “I’m not going, my minds set. I’m fine Dad really-“
“Bullshit! I’m not leaving my 16 year old son to spend Christmas alone!”
”Harley and Pepper both have missed you just as much as I have, they deserve a normal Christmas with you back. I don’t want to ruin their Christmas when you come back and they don’t remember me ok?” Peter said looking at his feet
”Then I’ll make them remember! I don’t know why no one remembers you but I can fix it I can-“
”You can’t reverse magic!” Peter yelled, “Its impossible, Strange already casted the spell and told me what would happen.”
Tony looked furious now, “Strange did this? Oh that son of a bitch looking wizard- I reversed magic once didn’t I? I can do it again somehow I can-“
“Maybe you can! But tomorrows Christmas and Harley and Pepper need you right now! I’ll be fine, I’ve been alone this long another day won’t hurt me. When Christmas is over you can come back if you want- and if it eases your mind I have a place I’ll be spending Christmas so no, I won’t be alone.”
Tony thought for a second before sighing, “Fine, but right after I’m finding you and fixing this all mkay? Before I go, tell me this place you’re going to be during old saint Nicks day?”
”A coffee shop, before the spell I- I knew someone there and she let me know she had to work on Christmas and her family would be out of town. Even if she doesn’t remember me I’m sure she’d like some company.”
Tony smirked and looked at his son amused, “You’re right kiddo, it puts me at ease that you’ll be spending Christmas with your girlfriend.”
Peters face grew red, “What how did you-“
”It’s kind of obvious Kid.”
