The Beginning
"Still no one has any idea on what this goo monster could be, so be on the look out and stay indoors whenever possible. This is San Francisco Daily with your morning news. We'll be back after this short break."
"Goo Monster, couldn't they come up with a cooler name."
"Does that even matter? The little they know about us the better," you mumbled.
"Pshh lammee~ they should know our names! The Lethal protector!!"
"Keep it down," your grumbled, ignoring the people weirdly looking at you as you crossed the sidewalk.
Y/n an unfortunate soul who managed to get an alien from outer space from a interviewing job that she dug herself to far into and eventually led to her fighting another symbiote that was technically her son. Crazy I know. Currently she was heading to her publisher's office "The Daily Bugle" to see what her boss wanted from her. She was already in a bad mood due to Venom waking her at the crack of dawn, but there wasn't anything she could do about that. It was just one of the many downsides of living with an alien. Once she arrived at the office building she parked her motorcycle and headed inside.
"Do you think we'll get a raise, we can buy more chocolate with it." Venom cooed at the delighted idea that popped into his head.
"I doubt it's going to be a raise, and whatever it is I just hope it isn't anything bad," she responded as she pressed the elevator button to go up. "Also keep quiet while we talk, just this once please."
Venom scoffed. "You don't boss me around. We are in this conversation."
She sighed in response, but knew that she couldn't do anything about it. Once the elevator dinged she walked out of it and headed over to her bosses office.
"You wanted to speak with me?" they questioned as she entered the room.
"Ah, yes please sit. Glad you could make it in such short notice. I'll skip the pleasantries and get straight to it with you... As you know you are one of our best writers here in San Fran and I managed to get you a super good story out of town," her boss stated.
"Oh? Where's this and what's the story?"
"It's in New York and you're going to write about their New York Local 'Spiderman' hm~ what do you say? It pays good too and travelling and out of pocket expenses will be covered."
"New bad guys to eat and that Spider Boy sounds tasty~ take it! New York will feed us well!"
"Oh wow... that is a good deal, but what about the other reporters in New York? Shouldn't they get this gig?" They responded a bit hesitant about it.
"Idiot! Take it! Listen! New bodies to eat~ come onnn"
"Brock no one does it like you do, especially with that Cassidy case you did a while back. Take it I know you'll do well with it."
"Alright I'll accept. When's the flight?" She knew she couldn't pass on an opportunity on this, not only that but she knew Venom would bother her until she eventually said yes so she decided to take the easy way out of it.
"Tonight. Get packed, your flight leaves in five hours."
"Yes! Let's get this show on the road! I like her, she never makes us wait~"
~~
"Mhm I wonder if bodies taste different in New York than here."
"Do we really have to talk about that now," you muttered.
"Of course!! This is a very important topic!"
Brock groaned.
"This is going to be a long flight."
