Summary
This is the third in a series, following An Uncertain Future and Healing. The guys are on their way back to New York and Stark Tower. Although Yori Nakajima's death has cancelled the bounty on Bucky's head, he's still wanted by most law enforcement agencies on the planet.Steve, and the rest of the Avengers, are committed to bringing Bucky in from the cold. Bucky just knows that he needs to stop killing, whatever the cost to himself.

Things were coming together.
Tony was handling Bucky being back at the Tower a lot better than Steve had expected.
Not only had Tony not tried to kill Bucky, he'd brought in one of the smartest men alive to get rid of his Hydra trigger words and he was planning on hiring a boatload of lawyers to get him pardoned for the Winter Soldier’s crimes.
Steve was feeling pretty good.
That good mood lasted all the way up until he walked through the door to their suite and a vibranium fist whizzed past his jaw and smashed into the wall.
