Summary
This is the third in a series, following An Uncertain Future and Healing. The guys are on their way back to New York and Stark Tower. Although Yori Nakajima's death has cancelled the bounty on Bucky's head, he's still wanted by most law enforcement agencies on the planet.Steve, and the rest of the Avengers, are committed to bringing Bucky in from the cold. Bucky just knows that he needs to stop killing, whatever the cost to himself.

Clint poured himself a second cup of coffee and dropped heavily back down at the kitchen table.
Sitting across from him, Sam winced. “Take it easy, man. My head’s gonna fall off.”
Clint grunted.
Sam rolled a bleary eye at him. “What’s that?”
Clint grunted again.
It could’ve been an apology, or an acknowledgement. Could’ve been a fuck you.
Sam decided to ignore it and burrowed back into his coffee cup.
Steve walked into the kitchen, carrying a tray filled with empty dishes. Depositing the tray on the counter, he did a double-take.
“What the hell happened to you two?”
