3.3 Moose
Moose's emotions were conflicting with each other as he walked up to the reception counter at the hospital his poor boyfriend was in. He was extremely excited to see his two favorite people, was incredibly angry at the little pompe á chiasse for hurting his mon choupinou, and was awfully upset that someone had hurt his little bean. He smiled at the petite receptionist.
"Hi, Moose Jones here for Siva Allen."
The receptionist smiled at him and typed the name into the computer, looking up when it loaded, "Ah, here you are. Mr. Allen is currently on the 5th floor in patient room #3 in the ICU. You are free to go up as he only has one visitor at the moment. Follow the directions on the door outside his room before going in."
Moose smiled again, "Great! Thank you so much for your help, sir."
When Moose finally reached the door to the room holding the loves of his life and put on the required equipment, he tightened his grip on the gifts he had for them and opened the door. Beck didn't react to the door opening, continuing to stare at his sleeping boyfriend.
Siva was doing a lot better than when he first came in a few days ago. He was no longer intubated and his bruises had faded to greenish yellow. He had some color in his cheeks and was no longer sweaty from pain. He was connected to an EEG, a few IVs, a pulse oximeter, oxygen, and a feeding tube. Beck was gazing at his beloved when he felt a hand land on his shoulder.
He jumped, startled, and turned abruptly to meet the person who dared to violate his personal space. His eyes watered at the sight of his taller boyfriend. His hands covered his mouth as he stood up and stared into Moose's eyes.
"Y-y-you're here," he whispered brokenly.
Moose nodded with a smile, almost falling when the sudden weight of his boyfriend was abruptly attached onto him. Moose dropped the presents and enveloped the crying boy in a warm hug, burying his face into Beck's dark curls.
"I missed you both so much. I should've just finished college online. I'm so sorry I wasn't here, baby," Moose rambled, clutching tightly onto Beck, begging Beck to believe him.
They stayed like that for several minutes, gently swaying to an unknown rhythm. They eventually parted and Moose went over and held the small hand of his little love.
"Hello, mon ciel étoilé. You need to wake up, darling. We miss you so much," Moose teared up as he stroked the boy's face softly.
Siva twitched and groaned as he woke up slowly. He thought that he heard his beloved go'dak, but that can't be right, he was in Canada. He slowly opened his tired eyes and saw Moose. He slowly smiled up at his boyfriend, lifting his unencumbered hand up to hold Moose's hand on his face.
"Hey, mon ciel," Moose whispered gently.
"Muskul," Siva whimpered, reaching his hands up in the universal sign of 'hold me.'
Moose smiled then gently embraced Siva's fragile form, careful of the wires and tubes on him. He could faintly smell Siva's gentle perfume of sparkling tea and bergamot, but it was overpowered by the stale scent of the sterilized room. Beck went around to the other side and sat down on the remaining room on the large bed that devoured Siva's frail form.
"Don't worry, priya, you aren't ever going to be away from us again. We're here for you."
It was a few weeks later that Siva could finally return to school. His blood oxygen levels were in the mid 80s so he was still on oxygen, but did not need as much support as he did during the first week. The bruises were gone and his eye was back to normal. His right wrist was adorned with a dainty gold medical bracelet explaining his condition and his symptoms. At his side was an adorable central asian ovcharka with white, ginger, and light brown fur. It had a bright red vest on that said service and seizure alert dog. Everyone was extremely careful around Siva, treating him as though he was glass. He didn't mind though, he was as fragile as glass.
Siva was walking slowly into school with Beck's arm securely around his waist. He was leaning heavily on his boyfriend, his body feeling weak. Siva looked up through his heavily tinted sunglasses at Beck in thankfulness for holding him up. He was led to Sikowitz' classroom where he was greeted with a gentle hug from the usually brash and brazen way of doing things.
"If you need anything, just let me know, okay?"
Siva nodded slightly, trying not to send a wave of dizziness through him from the movement. He smiled through his mask at his teacher when he was given another light hug.
His dog, Vishnu, laid his head on Siva's small thigh, looking up at its owner in order to see if he was alright. Beck leaned over and whispered to him, staring directly into Siva's eyes.
"Are you going to be alright?"
Siva smiled, his eyes crinkling slightly.
"I'll be alright."
