Summary
They were a list of codewords and phrases that Darcy and Dick had started, and then each additional Robin had added on to over the years. Robin had a fifteen year legacy by now - that was more than enough time to come up with calls for help for almost any situation. If a Contingency was called - and it was rare that it was - all of the former Robins were alerted through a system that Oracle had set up, and they would start to move, immediately dropping everything and heading back to the BatCave to start the rescue op. It was a system that had only been tested a few times over the years, and every time it was called all of the Robins, both current and former, felt chills.
Note
So I am currently writing this out of a hotel room only three miles away from where I live because my roommate has COVID... and somehow, despite the pair of us being joined at the hip, I do not. Immune systems are weird.Anyway, please enjoy the next second story of Darcy Grayson-Wayne. This is set up kind of like the first story, with a bunch of mostly unconnected one-shots revolving around it that still sort of have an overarching storyline to them.Let me know what you think!

Who are you?

Wally West didn’t have the slightest idea about what was happening. One of the last things that he remembered was hanging out with the Grayson twins - now he had woken up in the desert with strangers, and had no idea what was going on. He had heard the girl that he had woken up with - Artemis - say something about killing him, though. And while he wasn’t ignoring that threat, it also wasn’t currently his top priority.

Miss Martian - who had been the first one to find them, and the only one who seemed to have any memories at all - had said they were on a team.

That was what worried him. Because if he was on a team, then where was Robin? So far they had Miss Martian, Artemis, and the very angry shirtless teen - but no Robin. Which didn’t make sense to Wally. Because there was no way that he would ever join a team without his best friends on it.

The cute flying one was hovering overhead, a panicked expression on her face as she looked down at both Kid Flash and Artemis. He didn’t know much about either of them, but from what he had seen so far, panicked seemed to be Miss Martian’s default emotion. Angry seemed to be Artemis’s. “Robin needs our help!” she called. That at least helped with some of his fears - if the only one who had any memories knew of Robin, then they were definitely on this team.

Wally groaned, rubbing at his head. He didn’t remember much of the last six months, didn’t know who exactly he had woken up with or where he was - but he did know that he knew Robin. Both of them. “Which Robin?” he called back, holding his head as he tried to get his thoughts back into place. He had been conscious for all of twenty minutes, was almost out of food, and stuck with two people that he didn’t know. On top of that, neither of them were very helpful at the moment, as one was constantly panicking and the other kept trying to fight them both.

Of course, as soon as he said that, he had an important realization - no one else on the team would know that there was more than one Robin. Most of the core members of the Justice League knew by this point, but that was it. Even Gothamites didn’t know.

Miss Martian floated down from the sky, landing lightly on the sand. “According to the memories I still have, there’s only one Robin, Wally.” M'gann stated, looking at him cautiously. “Are you sure you're okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine.” he lied. “Must be leftover from the brain scramble earlier.” Still, he was panicking. He might have been closer to Dick than he was Darcy, but he still didn’t want anything to happen to either of the Grayson twins. And he didn’t know which twin was on this mission with them - and the fact that he didn’t know where Robin was at all worried him slightly.

Dick Grayson woke up feeling like he had gone ten rounds with Bane - and for a second he worried that he had, despite all the thinly veiled threats that his family had given him about never doing that again. He rolled over, already planning to call Alfred and ask for painkillers, when he felt sand under his head instead of his pillow. There was no Zitka next to him in bed, and no Darcy either. While Bruce had given them separate rooms, he had quickly learned that letting them sleep in the same bed was the easiest way to keep the pair from waking up screaming from nightmares every night.

But he wasn’t anywhere near Wayne Manor like he was supposed to be - like he should have been, according to his memories.

Instead, he was in the middle of a desert somewhere, with absolutely no idea of how he got there in the first place. So he did what he always did - moved to high ground. Something about it always calmed him down. He was about to start looking into where he was, when he heard the sound of approaching vehicles and crouched back down, hidden behind the outcropping of rocks.

“Those are Bialyian Republican Army uniforms.” Robin muttered under his breath, watching them pull away.

He pulled up his gauntlet computer, typing rapidly away for a minute, pulling up a map of the area. “But what are Bialyians doing in… Bialya.” he mused. “Oh. Okay, better question: what am I doing in Bialya? In September! What happened to March?” That had him panicking a little bit. He didn’t know what he was doing here, but he had six months of missing memories.

If he had been missing for six months, his sister would kill him when he got home. Not to mention what Bruce and Alfred would say, but he was more afraid of his sister. He had to figure out what was going on - so he went to contact Batman. The least that he could do was let his adoptive father know that he was still alive.

He was just about to hit his comm when a flash of memory came up - Batman warning them that radio silence was essential for this mission. Robin sighed. He had hoped to tell his dad that he was alright - but now that he remembered they were supposed to keep radio silence, he also figured out that he must have had a team with him. There was no way his dad or his sister would let him out on a mission like this without some form of backup.

Now it was time for him to find that backup.

“Kf!” despite everything, Dick couldn’t help the way his stomach flittered and his face lit up at the sight of his best friend. He was just glad that he wasn’t stranded out here alone. “Man, it’s good to see a familiar face.”

“Hey, Rob.” Wally asked, looking nervous - and that was enough to make him worry. He had been hoping that his sister might be with the speedster at the moment, but judging by the look on the other boy’s face, he hadn’t seen her either. “Memory loss?” Dick’s heart plummeted. Wally didn’t even know what had happened in the last six months. All of the hope he had in finding out what had happened disappeared.

Still, he forced a smile onto his face anyway. "Six months! Let’s hogtie these creeps and compare notes."

“Hang on - which one are you?” Wally asked, and everything froze. Out of all of the problems that Dick had thought he might have, that wasn’t one of them. He knew that both he and Darcy were good at hiding who they were, but he had thought that Wally would at least be able to tell the difference between them.

But that was the point, he reminded himself. There wasn’t a difference between them in the suit - to make things easier and help hide their identities just a little more. Still, it hurt. “Really, Wally?” he asked, and Wally flinched at the exasperation in Dick’s voice.

Artemis and M'gann looked at each other, both silently wondering if the other had any idea about what was going on. “Should we be worried?” Artemis asked, looking between the pair. She had been skeptical of Kid Flash at first, but Robin was a legend worldwide - everyone knew who they were.

“No.” Wally said, shaking his head a little more emphatically when he saw the others staring at him. “You guys don't have anything to worry about.” he clarified, shifting slightly. He didn’t have any real reason to be nervous - Robin would never do anything to hurt him. But their pranks were unbelievable.

Robin huffed out an irritated laugh, recognizing the words for what they were. “Yeah - only Kid Mouth does.” he growled, glaring daggers at his friend.

Kid Flash rubbed at the back of his head, smiling sheepishly. “That does narrow it down actually.” he admitted. Each of the Grayson twins had their own phrasing for certain things, and Dick usually called him Kid Mouth more than anything else.

Robin red bird sing to me.” Wally said softly, keeping his voice down so that the rest of the people they were surrounded with couldn’t hear him. It was called a Robin Contingency, he knew that much - it was also the only one he knew. Outside of the Bats, he was the only one who knew that there was more than one Robin, and so they had come up with a code for this exact scenario.

As I fly through the air with the greatest of ease.” Robin responded, and Wally felt nothing but relief in that moment. It was Dick. Worry that he didn’t even know he was feeling was lifted from his chest as he realized who exactly was in front of him. His best friend, his partner in crime - his partner in fighting crime. Yes, he was friends with Darcy as well, but he knew that if it had been Dick who he had no information from the last six months on, he would have gone crazy.

Wally froze. Darcy. That’s why Dick was taking everything so poorly. They were all missing six months of memories, and waking up without her nearby had to be reminding him of past traumas.

“We'll find out what happened, Rob.” Wally said, reassuring his friend.

For just a second, some of his worry shone through on Dick’s face. But it was gone just as quickly as it appeared. “I hope so - if we've been missing for six months, D and Batman are going to be worried sick.”

Still, Wally could at least reassure his friend on that part. “We haven't been.” he said, completely certain.

“How do you know?” Dick asked, tilting his head slightly to one side as he waited for his friend to respond. He wasn’t anywhere near as sure as his friend was - but then, he could still remember being torn away from his twin just a few years earlier.

Wally just shot his friend a look, not even hesitating in his answer. "Because if you were missing D would tear the planet apart until she found you." When Dick still didn't look convinced, Wally nudged him. "Either way, don't worry about it right now." He said softly. "Let's just try and figure out what's going on, and who we're here with."

Dick smiled at that, but Wally could still see the worry hidden behind the mask. "You're right." he said softly. “I gotta stay traught.”

The rest of the mission went off without a hitch - after they found Psimon and got their memories back, Wally felt a little of his worry leave. They hadn’t been missing for six months like part of him had worried - if anything, they had barely been gone for three days. But he still kept an eye on Dick, who was vibrating with even more energy than usual - almost enough to be mistaken for a speedster.

The second that they made it out of Bialya, Robin was on the phone, ignoring the way the rest of the team was eyeing him as he spoke. Wally knew that his friend was on the phone with his twin, easing his fears from when they had woken up with no memories, but the rest of them didn't know that. And if Wally had anything to say about it, they wouldn't find out until Dick and Darcy were ready.

Even if that meant sacrificing a little bit of his dignity.

So while he rambled on and on about the souvenir that he had gotten from the trip and overplayed his part in the battle, he kept an eye on Dick out of the corner of his eye, just making sure that his friend was alright.

But Dick’s attention was glued on the phone in his hand and nothing else, the low tones of the Romani language drifting through the plane.
