The Sokovians don't like Anyone, good for them
PREVIOUSLY ON: Dawn of New Change
Taeyong is technically allowed on missions, it's a bit of a wishy-washy compromise that he has with his father. Tony doesn't want Taeyong in the crossfires, but just like that day against Hammer tech, A.I.M. or even Loki's Reign of Terror, Taeyong wanted to be a hero. So, instead of donning his own suit, he sits back in the quinjet and helps direct the team efficiently. Or as efficiently, as a sixteen year-old can.
Their current mission: find whatever manic energy is sparking up in this new HYDRA base and put a stop to it.
HYDRA Research Base
Sokovia, Eastern Europe
Baron Wolfgang von Strucker was one of the leaders of HYDRA. He became a sleeper agent for S.H.I.E.L.D. and deferred to the Division in order to serve HYDRA. His agenda was to utilise the magic energy emitted from Loki's sceptre and experiment with that power. HYDRA had always pushed forward in their ideals to create a world fit with only the elite, only the most powerful at the top. With Strucker's advancements in the making of the Maximoff twins, he would become a God to the people of Earth.
He rose where every one of his other agents failed. It was an obvious set-back, the issues regarding Project Insight and the fall of HYDRA. But Strucker did not just see failure for the people of HYDRA becoming too cushioning in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s facility, but rather that the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. itself was his way up. HYDRA was building themselves, as they always said. Cut off one head and two more shall take its place.
They would remember him. They would worship him. Because he was one of the originals and he was still standing. His loyalty to HYDRA would be paid back in full and Strucker just needed to get rid of the Avengers currently knocking at his front door.
"Who gave the order to attack?" he said, walking down into the central control room. Monitors upon monitors were wired up, showing different blueprints of the castle and then the surrounding areas. There were flashes of red where the Avengers had penetrated their forces. They were wiping them out, and doing so, quickly. Strucker had a single line of sweat running down his temple and although his voice didn't betray his unease, he could feel his heart racing. There were just some human reactions he couldn't escape.
"Herr Strucker, it's the Avengers," said a HYDRA agent, his hand motioning to the monitor. Strucker almost rolled his eyes, of course he knew it was the Avengers. He just needed to figure out a way to get control of the situation!
Another guard marched over, a rifle held up and he was clad in tactical gear. His helmet was grey and he opened his visors, giving Strucker a nod. "They landed in the far woods. The perimeter guard panicked."
"Panicked?" Strucker's voice came out chilling and the guard continued to look forward, not retaining eye contact. Smart. With a nod, Strucker dismissed the man, trying not to acknowledge the way his shoulder slumped in relief. His men were weak and Strucker needed people that could at least mask their fears properly.
He turned to the Lead Scientist, Doctor List, wearing a three piece suit with a dark green lab coat over it. But, what Strucker admired most was that even though everyone around them was panicking at their fall, he remained steadfast and calm. "They have to be after the sceptre," he said quietly, voice masked over the marching and calls to attention.
Strucker clicked his fingers, calling the soldier to him once again. "Can we hold them?" Their defence lines were already wiped out completely and there were more men outside trying to fight the Avengers than in.
The soldier blinked, "they- they're the Avengers," he said.
Strucker cleared his throat. "Deploy the rest of the tanks! Concentrate fire on the weak ones."
"Weak ones?" one of the soldiers asked.
"The humans, Black Widow and Hawkeye." Strucker didn't even try to glare when one of the tech workers just stared back at him incredulously. This was a losing battle, but he had to stand strong. He would become the face of HYDRA if everyone worked out well and a hit on one of the Avengers? That would be a sure way to rise in the ranks. "A hit may make them close ranks."
Strucker looked back over to the doors entrance where the twins were stationed. He ignored their jittery and anxious states to return to Doctor List. "Everything we've accomplished," he said, hand on the man's shoulder. "We're on the verge of our greatest breakthrough."
Doctor List nodded, "then let's show them what we've accomplished." Strucker closed his eyes. "Send out the twins."
He gave a short shake of his head, "it's too soon."
"It's what they signed up for."
Strucker looked back at the twins. Wanda Maximoff, with her pale face and hollowed out cheekbones, was staring at her brother. Her eyes had calmed down significantly from their glowing red soul-piercing stare. She had taken the longest to fully recover and slowly, but surely, she was starting to gain back a healthy weight. But she was not trained at all, in hand-to-hand combat, she would perish under the thumb of a single Avenger. Then her over-protective and brash twin brother, Pietro Maximoff? He was looking down at Wanda, almost holding her up. His hair was bleached white in a dirty and vigorous manner, the drugs officially having taken a toll on his physical state.
But he was interesting, his body could regain its strength easily. A hypothesis was put out by the other scientist. The speed at which he could run was probably speeding up his bodied natural healing ability. Unfortunately, this would not work out well because HYDRA had not fed him in a while. Their rations were low and even if they had enough, the twins were the last to eat. The leftovers. Pietro almost swayed in his stance, blinking tiredly.
Strucker shot the twins a dirty look, "my men can hold them."

Tony arched his brow when he noticed a new tidal wave of soldiers running out of the castle and onto the bridge. They started to fire up a large machine gun which started to glow a bright blue. "Ooh what's this?" he asked, voice tinged with amusement. They started to fire and Tony flew and spun around easily, dodging the firing squad with ease.
"Sir, the city is taking fire."
"Jarvis, broooo," came Taeyong's voice. "We can see that."
"Play nice," Tony warned. "And now we know that Strucker's not gonna worry about civilian casualties. Taeyong?"
"Sending in the Iron Legion."
Tony had Taeyong do most of the work from the quinjet but that didn't mean he had stopped paying attention to his son's every move. There was a small camera just on Taeyong's monitor that showed Ton everything he needed to see. Sometimes the young boy would even pose at the camera just for fun. But Taeyong was working on the Iron Legion and Tony? Well, there was pride and anxiety coursing through him on every mission that Taeyong attended.
"This quadrant is unsafe." The Iron Legion were designed with basic commands, just to help civilians move away from areas in which they could get attacked or caught in the crossfire of Avenger missions. So far, they had been well taken in America. "Please back away. We are here to help."
Taeyong and Tony both watched through the Iron Legion monitor to see a bunch of the Sokovian civilians shouting and gathering around the Legion members. Their shouts were foreign but both Starks got the general gist. They did not want the Avengers there.
"Knew we should have made the Iron Legion hot pink." Taeyong said from his seat.
Tony groaned, "hot pink does not scream emergency."
"Oh and grey does? They're scared and they're gonna get shot at. Let me speak through the monitors. Or at least translate it to Sokovian so that they know what they're being asked. The Legion needs a human touch to it,"
Tony furrowed his brows, "What?"
"Dad, they look like they came out of I, Robot and no one likes that film. Shit is creepy."
"Stop swearing??"
"I can't, need to emphasise how right I am and how wrong you are."
"We wish to avoid collateral damage." the Legion started to say. "We will inform you when this current conflict is resolved. We are here to help."
Tony and Taeyong both strained to hear what the Sokovian people were chanting, "Avengers, go home!"
"Huh," Tony said. "Different response then what we're used to."
"Less American," Taeyong shrugged.
"I agree," Steve said. "We're a terrible country..."
"Preach," came Natasha's reply. "Also, that's not very Captain America of you Cap."
"Lived through the Great Depression, don't test me just yet."
Tony smirked, "I do love good patriotism. Now, Taeyong, can you do something about the Legion?"
Taeyong and Tony both winced when they watched a man throw what looked like a wine bottle at the Legion's face. "Hey! That's not very nice," came the boy's reply. "That's a quick corrosive acid as well. It's burning through the outer layer of the- oh."
"Oh?" Tony asked.
"There's uh.. graffiti."
"Graffitti?"
"Yeah uh, it's you dad. But like, they've spray paid a dollar sign over your face. There's also Cap... people want us... out of the country. What did we do?"
Clint spoke up then, "Taeyong, what didn't we do?"

Strucker continued to shout out orders for the HYDRA soldiers, taking command for people that only ever trained for combat and didn't seem to know what they were doing. Strucker almost had enough, he didn't understand how pathetic people could get. "The Americans sent their circus freaks to test us!" he shouted.
"We will send them back in bags!" He walked forward, hands behind his back as he stood his ground. "No surrender!"
"NO SURRENDER!" cried the rest of the soldiers, before they all ran out to continue their fight.
Strucker waited for the majority of them leave before he leant in close to Doctor List, "I'm... going to surrender." Doctor List seemed astounded, Strucker tried to ignore his look. "You delete everything. If we give the Avengers the weapons, they may not look too far into what we've been doing-"
"The twins," Doctor List said.
Strucker felt his pulse rising. "They are not ready to take-"
"No no, I mean..." Doctor List turned back to the entrance of the room.
Strucker groaned, "the twins..."
NEXT TIME ON: Dawn of New Change
“I’m not going to lie… I think I might actually need Doctor Banner,” he said seriously, lightly tapping Clint’s cheek to keep him awake.
“Shall I retrieve the Doctor?” Thor asked.
Taeyong and Clint both winced
