Note
hey all! this is my first fic ever on here! it's a short oneshot where petergwen are happily living their best lives in london. hope you guys like it 💓(this is canon idc xoxo)

"Gwen, look at me, please. I can't hear you, I love you, please come back" Peter cried cradling Gwen's dead body in his arms.

Peter gasped, shivering a little. It was all a dream, he quickly got out of bed. He remembered where he was, he was in London- in the apartment which he shared with Gwen.

He hurriedly ran down the stairs and to his relief he saw the love of his life eating cereals, scrolling through her phone. He rushed over and kissed her cheek, "Woah, what's the rush" Gwen replied, her mouth full of cereal. "Nothing, just felt this rush of love" He replied sitting down, "Rush of love? How hard did the criminal hit you yesterday?" Gwen smiled, raising her eyebrow.

"Well, yesterday-while you were off fighting criminals, I booked us a table at that restaurant you always stare at." She got up from the table, "Wait, what?" I thought we were going to Harry's place?" Peter asked, rubbing the back of his hair.

They can't go to a restaurant?! He's been planning this day for months! He would take Gwen to 'Harry's' place which was just the Tower Bridge. He desperately wanted to recreate the moment they had on the bridge when Peter realised that Gwen was his soulmate and then he would propose to her standing on top of the bridge. But going to a restaurant? That wasn't supposed to happen!

"Oh, do you want me to cancel?" Gwen asked, "No, no-don't cancel, Harry is always too busy with his boyfriend anyway." "Oh yeah, the one from France right?" "Yep, he texted me and said, 'Elliot didn't just dance on the stage last week, but he danced straight through my heart" "No way" Gwen replied giggling a little.

"Were we ever this corny?" Gwen smiled remembering their very 'new' dating phase. "I don't think so, but even if we were, I 100% blame me, my corniness rubbed off on you" Peter laughed and hugged Gwen. His chin rested on her head.

"I'm cancelling" Gwen announced, "What? Why?" He asked, "I don't feel like going out, let's just stay in?" She asked. "Okay, whatever you say" He replied, flashing his big brown doe eyes.

This wasn't happening, what was he going to do now? He made the lame excuse of not having popcorn (even though the pantry was stacked) and Gwen, like the saint she is- offered to go and get some. Peter Parker has exactly ten minutes to decide how he wants to propose to the love of his life. And he has no idea how to.

~exactly eleven minutes later~

Gwen walked down the street and was almost about to enter their home when she was grabbed by someone unknown, and the next thing she knew was that she was getting tossed into the air like a ragdoll, suddenly the unknown had a name.

"PETER! ARE YOU INSANE?" She screamed into the air. She hugged Peter's suit tightly, she wasn't afraid to fall because she knew Peter would catch her, he always did. What she feared was seeing the actual distance between her and the ground-she was afraid of heights which was pretty annoying considering her boyfriend was basically a swinging spider.

They gently landed and Gwen opened her eyes, they were on top of the Tower Bridge of London. "What-why are we here?" Gwen muttered, still not able to take her eyes off the mystical scene in front of her eyes. "Well." She heard Peter's voice, and turned around. He seemed nervous, "Oh no, what happened?" Gwen hastily replied, Peter being that nervous wasn't always a good sign.

"No-nothings' happened, why would you think that?" Peter's brows furrowed. "Nothing, it's okay. Mind telling me why we're here?" Gwen smiled, putting her hands on his shoulders. "Well see there's this thing-" He replied stepping away from the ACTUAL view he wanted her to see, not some random tourists boating.

Peter had written 'WILL YOU MARRY ME' on the side of the bridge, just like he had when Gwen was about to leave for London. The entire sight was magical. It took Gwen a few minutes before she finally registered the message Peter was asking. She slowly turned around, her eyes glistening with tears.

Peter was on his knee, holding out the most beautiful ring she had ever seen. "Yes, yes, yes." She laughed and quickly went to hug him. But in all the excitement, she accidentally knocked the ring out of his hand.

clink-clink-clink----

They both just stood on the bridge with their mouths open staring at the sea where the diamond was probably six feet under. Gwen looked at Peter and started to laugh a little. "What?" Peter sighed to an almost rolling from laughter Gwen. "You look like a golden retriever who lost his favourite chew toy" She smiled. "I'm sorry, like really sorry" Gwen frowned, biting her lips. Peter really looked disappointed.

"It's all okay, tomorrow you and me- we'll go to the jewellery store near your office and buy another one. Or we could even go and get it from that one place May and Ben always kept recommending. Or-" Peter ranted, "Pete" Gwen mumbled and put her lips on his.

The kiss was sweet and soft, they were both insanely terrified for their future but were overjoyed. Even after all these years, both of them still got butterflies whenever they kissed each other. Gwen couldn't believe she was going to spend the rest of her life with her true soulmate.

"I love you so much that I would marry you with paper rings if I have to." Gwen said, her forehead touching Peter's. "Really?" His big brown eyes looked up at her, "Obviously" She smiled. "Well looks like I can finally get that new expensive fabric I need for the suit" He winked "Peter!" She slapped his arm, affectionately.

They were going to be married. It was all going to be alright, they were going to be alright
