Summary
After Norman returns to his own universe he is still struck with confusion and sadness as he remembers nothing of what his darker half committed.
Note
I have just seen No Way Home like 4 hours ago and I felt so so bad for Norman. Also Goblin uses he/it pronouns bc I am transgender so he is a gender being like me. Also thank u bestie Big M for proofreading and editing this a little bit.

Norman Osborn awoke, back into his own universe. The guilt and the horror still stinging his head. He stood in the study of his home, whiskey in hand, no sign of his darker half living in his brain. Was it really gone? Norman prayed it was.

What did he even do in the other world? He knew he- no, it -did something terrible when he saw his Peter laid close to him with a wound in his abdomen from his dagger. Norman sat himself down thinking hard; trying his best to remember. If only he had someone who was there to tell him what he did.

Wait.

He did have someone. Otto, and his Peter. But would they even remember? They knew who he was, but were they truly from his universe? Would they only remember when they were returned from when they were taken away? God this whole multiverse thing was so confusing.

Seeing as how his other half wasn’t showing himself, Norman decided to reach out himself.

Goblin? Are you still here? Silence. Please, if you are, tell me!

Nothing. It was gone. It should be here, telling Norman how pathetic he was, but it’s not. Norman’s body relaxes. He’s himself again- but that doesn’t fix the fact he still has no idea what horrors he committed in the other universe. A door slammed open making the old man jump, who was lost in his own thoughts. He placed the whiskey and stood following the sound of the door.

Harry stood at the front door, fumbling with his coat and cursing under his breath. Norman stood at the top of the stairs watching his son, warmness suddenly flooding his body. His little boy, his son, his pride and joy was safe and ok. Harry turned and met his eyes with his father

“There you are! Do you realize how much of a jerk you were at dinner?” Norman slowly walked down the stairs “Father! Are you even list-”

“I’m so sorry.” Norman said softly as he pulled his son into a tight hug, Harry being taken aback by the sudden love he always wanted from his father “I haven’t been myself lately. I’ll apologize to Mary Jane and Peter but- for now- you deserve it the most. I’ve been a horrible father to you.”

Harry's eyes widened “No, no you haven’t. You’re an important man I understand-”

“No excuse. I promise I’ll change for you.” He pulled himself from Harry to see the boy was tearing up. “I’m so sorry it’s taken this long, but I’ve always loved you, Harry, I was just too tough on you. You are enough.”

He cupped the boy's cheeks and smiled as he wiped the tears from his eyes. Harry softly laughed

“God I’ve been wanting to hear that for years.”

Norman was back in his study after his apology and catch up with Harry. He closed his eyes and sighed. He’ll have to see either Peter or Otto tomorrow to see if any of the two remembered. But at least he was freed from the Goblin and on good terms with his son. He was glad that Peter had cured them and not left them for dead. Maybe this had also saved his son from himself as well. Norman looked at the Goblin mask sitting on his chair. He picked it up and stared at it for a while before smashing it on the ground- another thing that made him feel free from the grip of the Goblin.
