When i’m losing my control, the city spins around
Cristina’s spine-chilling scream could be heard from the other side of the hospital. She sat upright straight away, drenched in sweat. Tears flowing down her face nonstop, she couldn’t breathe, she couldn’t feel anything, her hands shaking and her body locked in place. All that was going through her head was screaming. Screaming….Screaming…Screaming. The sounds of greedy wolves tearing at Lexie’s flesh. The feeling of dehydration and starvation. The burning sensation in Cristina’s throat as she desperately drank a substance she thought was water but was plane fuel. The pain in her shoulder when Mark clicked it into place.
“CRISTINA?” Altman barged into her room and pulled her from the darkness, she was thankful she was on-call that night. “CRISTINA! Cristina…!” Teddy ran up to her and took her hands in her own, “You’re safe. I’m here, your not in the plane crash anymore..”
“M..meredith..” Cristina managed to mutter, her chest aching with pain, her throat feeling full.
“She’s here, she’s doing great.”
You’re the only one who knows, to slow it down..
“Shh.. Take deep breaths. Copy me….” Teddy sat on the hospital bed next to Cristina’s legs, locking eye contact through watery, glossy eyes. “In……” She inhaled slowly through her nose and held it for about 10 seconds, “Out…….” she exhaled deeply through her mouth. Cristina tried mimicking her actions and slowly, she was able to relax, unclench her jaw and loosen up the tension she never realised was in her shoulders.
“Everyone is okay now. Let’s go back to sleep.” Teddy softly smiled and was about to leave when Cristina’s weak voice stopped her,
“Wait! P..please. Please don’t leave..” Yang mumbled
Teddy nodded and grabbed a comfortable chair to sleep in. She pulled it right next to the bed and held Cristina’s hand. Slowly but surely, they both fell fast asleep.
“Their so cute.” Callie whispered to Addison the next morning as they stood outside Cristina’s room.
“Yeah.. I heard that Cristina had an episode and Teddy came running to her side. That’s absolutely adorable.” She said in awe
After admiring the two idiots oblivious to their love for eachother, they went to their partners.
Teddy groaned as she lifted her head tiredly. She was suprised for a minute when she saw herself hanging onto Cristina’s hand. But then she remembered last night. She smiled to herself, not wanting to leave. Teddy stayed there until her pager started to go off. Then she forced herself to leave Cristina’s side and do her job.
