Somebody come get me
“Sprite?”
The light-voiced response was undeniably Sersi's. Great. What was she going to say about this? She quickly interrupted before Sersi could ask any more questions, deciding to postpone that small problem for later.
“Yeah hi, Sersi, uhm.. is Makkari there?” She did a horrible job of attempting to sound calm. She felt quite the opposite, and it showed.
“Everything okay Sprite?”
“Everything’s great,” she tried leaving the bite out of her voice “what about Makkari? Is she there?”
A pause and Sersi answered. “Yes, she is. What do you need her for?”
Here comes the difficult part. “Can you ask Makkari to pick me up?” she added, “please.”
By the sound of her quiet chuckle, Sprite could already picture Sersi smirking on the other side. “Sprite, what did you do?”
The phone was silent for a few moments until a heavy sigh flowed through. “I may or may not have spent all my money buying- something. Now I don’t have enough money to get there. And don’t you dare say I should just walk! I will not put my way-too-short legs through all that suffering, so please can you just ask Makkari to pick me up?”
Sersi was going a slight shade of red from holding in her laughter. But, not wanting to leave the poor Eternal out in the snow any longer, she notified the speedster. After a quick few signs and a curious gaze from Makkari, she returned to the phone.
“Makkari’s on her way, and good luck explaining things to her.” She chuckled.
She heard Sprite’s little appalled “Argh!” before the line cut off.
