The first thing she feels is a strong arm wrapped around her waist.
She’s still not used to it.
She runs her hand along his skin, twins their fingers together. She’s not expecting him to move–not expecting anything really.
She’s sure he’s still asleep.
So, when he squeezes her hand, pulls her tighter against his chest, she can’t help but grin. He pushes her hair out of the way, presses a kiss to the base of her neck.
“G'morning, my love.”
She settles in, enjoys the solid, steady warmth of him at her back.
“Morning.”
“Must we get out bed?,” he murmurs. “I would much rather stay here.” There’s another soft kiss, an easy sigh. “With you.”
She smiles, lets her eyes flutter shut. “So would I,” she hums.
Being alone had worked for her, had made things simple. But this, this that she shares with Thor, is something much different.
She thinks she may have longed for it.
