Lesbian country love
Basically
Country love two farm girls fall in love when they meet at the market place of their little community
Story is called sunflower which means (for anyone who knows flowers) loyalty and adoration which I think is pretty fitting
It follows them through denial of being gay, accepting that they are gay, visiting each other over a few dates, and finally ending with them getting married and starting a farm together while their families watch on with conflicting ideas but supportive mindsets for their daughters
One of them comes from a family of six plus grandparents living at their house (had to do more chores to upkeep the farm because is oldest child) and the other, at the start of the book, was an only child with twin younger siblings on the way.
The one with the larger family is primarily a crop farm with some chickens and a cow. On the day of the wedding, the girl from this farm gives a sunflower ring to the other girl as a gift as a sorta call back to the title.
The other girl comes from a farm where they don't really sell crop unless they have too much extra but instead sell eggs, milk, butter, soap, and turkey. They have chickens, cows, turkeys, and a pond where they sometimes fish at
One of the dates might be a fishing date and that could be when the families start to figure out that they love each other.
(That’s about it for now)
